    On the second column of this portfolio grid on this page: there seems to be a buffer at the top that is pushing the images out of alignment with the rest of the row. When you do an inspect element on the page it shows a 20px high element above the second column that isn’t there on the other columns. I changed the number of columns and it is always on the second one.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Dear support,

    I am translating my site fabriziophotos.com in Dutch using the WPML plug in. It all works great but I have some issues with the NL home page.
    I made a copy of the EN home page however the final lay out is not the same: please browse to to see the EN and than click on the NL flag to see the Dutch one. You will notice:

    – The “Latest work” portfolio grid (2 columns, 6 projects) does not show up properly
    – Space between “Over ons”, “WEE CREËREN…..” and the “portfolio grid” is not as in the EN page
    – Nothing is yet in the “latest from blog” because I still need to translate those, so it is ok

    I tried to make the page twice even starting from a blank page but no luck. Any help?

    Thanks

    You need to change “url” to “image” like this:
    [img_menu image="urltotheimage.jpg" columns="1" title="Title" description="Description" link="#"]
    I’ll make sure that gets changed in the docs.

    Hello Hanna,

    I used the shortcode that I found here http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/shortcodes/ and it is [img_menu url=”urltotheimage.jpg” columns=”1″ title=”Title” description=”Description” link=”#”]. In my case it looks like

    [img_menu url=”http://fabriziophotos.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/DSC02497-683×1024.jpg” columns=”1″ title=”Need to make your opening wedding dance?” link=”http://bailalma.com/wedding-arrangements/”%5D. If not possible I will just made everything with PageBuilder

    Greetings

    Yes, it is ok now, I will build the homepages this way. In time, if I will find a solution to have [blog_grid orderby=date items=1 columns=1 cat=category] extend on all width allocated to it, I will change to it.

    Thank you Hannah, have a nice day!

    Hi Hannah,

    The image is ok with this code, see the page, but I need the title much smaller, like in the other two columns, and icons like in the other two columns for date, author, categories and comments.

    Thank you,

    Nicolae

    Hi Hannah,

    I didn’t pay attention to this button till now. It is a great tool, thank you. I used it on the test page https://www.setthings.com/en/0-2/ but i do not know why the post do not extend on all width, see it on the test page. I used the shortcode [blog_grid orderby=date items=1 columns=1 cat=category]

    Thank you, Ben. The 1st and 2nd columns are smaller than the 3d and the 4th one. Can I arrange the the 3d and the 4th one too? Can I get rid of the bullet points? And also the headings of the footer look disproportional. Is it possible to make it smaller too?
    Cheers

    2. “please look at your row settings” – you can add just a bottom border.

    3. I’m not sure I get what your saying. But maybe try this and you can let me know. Instead of making 4 columns make 6 columns and add your images to the middle 4.

    7. I think your saying topbar for the header and you just want to hide your logo on the home page?

    Add this:

    .home #logo {
        display: none;
    }

    8.

    .kad-header-left {
        padding-left: 0;
    }

    Ben, as usual you are awesome. Just a couple clarifications:

    2. Homepage = want a thin green line under large Waterstone Header Image
    —–Don’t want a border all around the Header image, just a thin green line on the bottom of the image.

    3. Homepage = want 4 images in row round with thin border around round image. Also 4 images to be closer together.
    Either upload larger images or make your whole content area narrower in your theme optons > misc settings. That will “bring them closer”
    You can add borders in pagebuilder.

    —–Don’t want the images larger, just circular. And don’t want to make page content narrower. Just want the images to be closer together a little. Found another possible way for this one. I moved the inner columns narrower but can’t seem to move the outer columns or text to align under them. Any ideas??

    7. Top bar = Logo inside menu bar not to be seen on Homepage. Stays on all other pages.

    —–Look at homepage for what I mean, http://www.waterstone.celebratingyourjourney.com. See inside top bar with logo on left.
    Don’t want it there for the homepage, but want it there for all other pages.

    For all other pages want logo image in top bar flush with left, no white space on left side of logo.

    Hope this clarifies. Thanks for your help.

    Hello!
    I’ve added the custom menu widget to one of my footer columns but the text is coming up really big. How do I change the font size?
    I added to CSS

    #containerfooter .menu {
    font-size: 14px;
    text-align: left;
    }
    #containerfooter {
    width: 100%;
    }

    and after I tried

    .footer-widget .widget_nav_menu ul li {
    font-size: 10px;
    }

    Nothing worked. Please help to understand what I do wrong.
    Thank you!!

    Yes, it works, thank you Hannah!

    It remains the second question, a grid with 4 columns where every item to be the last article of a specific category, but I think it is not possible, so I will mark this thread as solved.

    #107582

    Try this shortcode:
    [blog_grid orderby=date items=4 columns=4 cat=photos]
    Does that work for you?

    Meanwhile, the last problem, with the featured images, I solved using the plugin Quick Featured Images Pro. It sill remains the display of blog grid on homepages and, if possible, the display of a grid with 3 or 4 columns, with every item assigned to the latest post of a specific category.

    Hi Hannah,

    I use Polylang for multilingual. The blog posts was displayed until I imported posts from another wordpress site. Right now it works for French. The code I use is [blog_grid columns=”4″ items=”8″]

    As for the shortcodes, I want a grid with every row of 1 item to have more than one column (3 or 4). If I use the shortcode suggested by you, there will be 1 item per row.

    Nicolae

    That link still does not take me to a page. I don’t know what columns your refering to and would need a working link to see.

    Look here you will see that nothing ever loads with that link:

    I have three columns in my home portfolio carosel. They are all left justified though. How do I center them on my home page?

    #107054

    Is there a way to make a two-column have the same formatting as the split content? By that I mean the padding between the two columns and the px size where the two columns go undereath each other.
