In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Drop down menu issue
Good evening Kadence…my issue: I have a main menu with a tab called ” Members”. There is 26 members and are listed when the tab is clicked on. The list is much longer than computer screens and I was wondering if I could make that 2 or 3 columns instead of one long list?

May 3, 2016 at 3:54 pm #936381. Not that will have an interface you can always add a table using table html but if you want an interface for it I suggest using tablepress.
5. I don’t know what you have in your child theme functions file but it shouldn’t matter as long as you place inside of<?phpNEXT SECTION
2. I thought this was about the space in your menu and slider? I’ve checked your home page on every browser and don’t see this space. Also in terms of product overlap I have tried literally hundreds of times in every browser… Still yet to have it happen to me.10. Content loads as it downloads and it starts to built the page as quickly as it can meaning areas that don’t have images would appear first. If you would like I can give you code to make the whole page blank until it’s loaded? If you fix your loading speed this would not be something you would see.
11. Your header is sticky? It doesn’t shrink but it’s definitely stick, Are you not want it to be sticky? Cause you can turn that off in your theme options > main settings.
Maybe you are referring to the woocommerce sitewide notice. That overlaps your header because it’s fixed above it. Would you like that to not be sticky?13. I was under the impression order had to do with the tabs and nothing with your tables… (are you having trouble with your table columns?).
this gets really confusing if terms aren’t correct. But speaking of tab order…
Here is what I did to trying to help you understand and I don’t want you to get frustrated with back and forth… This product has your order so you can look at it and see: http://dilexivos.com/product/dilexi-vos-everything-is-possible-unisex-infant-onesie/NOTE: you had only enabled 2 custom tabs so couldn’t really add a terms of sale unless I changed that (which I went ahead and did).
NOTE 2: The additional information is a defualt tab if you choose the check box “Visible on the product page” for each attribute… You can hide it by not checking that checkbox as I did in the product above.
Finally it really may help you a lot to look through some of the woocommerce documentation they do have a lot of great info about these kinds of things.
14. Woocommerce has great shortcode that allow you to add products to a page and gives you options to change the columns so the images are larger please see here: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/
15. You can use this css:
div.product .product_image { border: 3px solid rgba(0,0,0,.05); }16. You can change the text (theme options > language settings) but there isn’t a built in way to make it a percentage based on the amount the product is. on sale.

Sorry Ben, I didn’t have the latest version. Now it is updated and your [blog_posts items=”8″ orderby=”date” type=”grid” columns=”one”] was 100 % correct. Thank you really much for this help, your theme is so great to work with.
Would you please delete the Antoka webadresses from this discussion.Pamela
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: background images parallaxing at different rates
hmm.. so if this were the case, could I just make 1 row, 2 columns and in each column add a visual editor.. and then on the right column (where the lady is) make a .png of her for the transparent background.. then I would just have to write the code that would adjust her parallax speed.. is this correct? or am i over simplifying it?
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: fredcarousel anywhere
Hey Steve,
You can use the carousel shortcode. Like this-[carousel type=post orderby=date columns=4 items=8 speed=9000 scroll=all cat=photos]
Is that what you mean? You can see a full list of shortcodes here- http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#shortcodesYou can edit the title with this css:
.fredcarousel .product_item .product_details h5 { line-height: 25px; font-size: 20px; }Just paste that in your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi there,
Sorry I can’t find this by searching the forums.
If I use this: [blog_posts orderby=rand cat=client] it only shows 4 posts in 2 columns.
If I use this: [blog_posts orderby=rand items=all cat=client] it only shows 1 post.
If I use this: [blog_posts orderby=rand items=20 cat=client] it shows 19 posts. That’s how many I have in that category now but I would like to know the items=??? – what to put for ??? so I always get all of them. I guess I could put 100 and hope some day I have over 100 clients!
thanks,

Sorry, I missed a bit of that shortcode.
[portfolio_posts orderby=date columns=4 ratio=square filter=true layoutstyle=flat-no-margin hoverstyle=default items=4 masonry=false lightbox=true showtypes=true]
You could post the slider shortcode into the editor and it would appear wherever you put the code.
But if you’re following the steps I posted above, then your slider will be assigned via Theme Options> Home Slider.
Hopefully that makes sense!

Thanks Kevin and Josh.
Yes I am looking to do something like this example.
From Josh.
“Are you looking for something like this?” https://revolution.themepunch.com/wordpress-photography-slider/from Kevin,
I was a little confused here!
“Then, within the page text editor of the page that’s set as Static Home Page in Settings> Reading, I pasted a shortcode like this one.
[portfolio_posts orderby=date columns=4 ratio=square filter=true layoutstyle=flat-no-margin hoverstyle=default items=4 masonry=false lightbox=true showty”I basically when into pages and put the code stated above. I placed in my home page text editor.
Am I also placing my slider link into the editor as well?I did remove the logos and menus. However, it gives a white bar the states no menu is assigned.
Thanks for all your help guys!
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Slider Revolution Home Page
Hello!
I was able to do this on my test site by first going into Theme Options> Home Layout> Home Layout Manager, and only activate Page Content.
Then, within the page text editor of the page that’s set as Static Home Page in Settings> Reading, I pasted a shortcode like this one.
[portfolio_posts orderby=date columns=4 ratio=square filter=true layoutstyle=flat-no-margin hoverstyle=default items=4 masonry=false lightbox=true showtypes=true]Your slider will be set via Theme Options> Home Slider, and you can create the slider itself with the button in the slider options.
If you don’t want a logo or menus, then you should remove the logo in your Main Settings area.
And you can disable all of your menus via Appearance> Menus.Let me know if this works for you.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Shop Images Uneven
Hi Hannah,
Sadly this does not seem to do anything. Heres the link: http://www.tbws.co.uk/shop/
I want it to look like this: http://www.tbws.co.uk/product-category/cebora/cebora-mig-welders/
Where even smaller images are laid out in place holders, in rows and columns. Thanks Again!
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Shop Images Uneven
Hi Ben,
I have used some CSS code i found on the forum to tidy up my product category pages where the images are different sizes and puts them into an evenly spaced grid. This worked really well but it has not sorted out the shop page.
Some of the images i have for the shop page are a bit small and they get organised automatically by woocommerce to look untidy. Is there a way to force them into columns and rows and put the images in place holders so they do not get stretched?
I played with some code and can get them in place but it stretches the images out.
Thanks Again,
Paul

April 25, 2016 at 7:20 pm #92481ok, you can choose to show the products in two columns. that would already show the short description.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Portfolio Pages Development and Management
Hey John,
1. You can manage the portfolios on the homepage from Theme Options > Home Layout. Just disable Portfolio Carousel from the Homepage Layout Manager.2. You can create portfolio types (categories) by going to Portfolio > Portfolio Type. Then you can assign specific portfolio posts to a type from the individual portfolio post edit pages. Then you can display only portfolio posts from that type by using a shortcode like this:
[portfolio_posts orderby=date excerpt=false columns=4 items=8 height=200 lightbox=true showtypes=true cat=photos]
Just replace “photos” with your portfolio type.Hope that’s helpful!
