    Hi Hanna,
    I tried to do type of portfolio – didn’t work.
    I needed only 1 type Quantum and Anthem of the Seas |Suites
    [carousel type=portfolio orderby=date columns=4 items=8 speed=9000 scroll= Quantum and Anthem of the Seas |Suites cat=photos]
    Still shows All. Please advice.
    Thank you!

    The menu is just the way I wanted it.

    I’m still having troubles with the shortcode.
    I added the widget “Texteditor” into one of the columns and wrote this in it

    [infobox image="http://www.gogames.dk/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/SkypeIcon.png" background="#353535" tcolor="f2f2f2"]</code></pre>

    I don’t have the “Visual Editor” so that’s the reason why I used the other one.. I bet it makes a difference but yeah..
    Take a look under “Kontakt os” and see how it messes up everything.

    Hey,
    Blog Post Summery Default… use portrait image instead of landscape.

    If you want columns use the blog grid template.. see examples here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/blog-grid-two-column/

    Your post summary option should be in the post settings, below where you add content. see this: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#blog_posts

    Thanks for your replies Hannah and Ben!

    I’m still having trouble.

    I can’t find the post summery option in my post edit page you mentioned Hannah. I have featured images set for al my posts though.

    In theme options > blog settings, i found the option to set the Blog Post Summery Default. I changes this to Landscape Image which does what I want in terms of showing the featured image and a post excerpt – but it’s full page width. Is there a way to change this to thumbnail size? Like the size of the featured images on my home page blog roll?

    Ideally i would like a list of blog posts, left aligned or the option for columns, with a small featured image and the post excerpt beside or under it.

    Sorry to be fussy. I figure there must be a way to do this i’m not finding since it appears just how i’d like on my home page.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kirsty

    p.s. Really glad you liked the site Hannah!

    You would put the type beside “cat=” So in the shortcode above your title would take the place of “photos”
    The size is determined by the number of columns you select.

    Try this, but using your category of course:
    [carousel type=portfolio orderby=date columns=4 items=8 speed=9000 scroll=all cat=photos]

    Hi, I started using Virtue Premium recently, it’s a great theme!
    I encounter a specific situation, searched around the forum but can’t find a solution.

    Here is the situation:

    (1)
    I set Home Portfolio Carousel in Theme Option > Home Layout > Home Portfolio Carousel Settings
    It has all the controls I need, see page at:

    (2)
    But I can’t find “carousel speed” and “scroll settings” on individual Portfolio post “Bottom Carousel Options” area, therefore unable to maintain the same look-and-feel.

    I did find the shortcode approach by adding [carousel type=portfolio orderby=date columns=5 items=8 speed=4000 scroll=all] in visual editor area, but the Carousel ends up tiny under the text content area. please see:
    On this page I also kept the “Bottom Carousel Options” generated one for comparison.

    Will you please advise what should I do to achieve the desired look.

    Thank you!
    Steve

    Hey, You can do this with a shortcode. Are you wanting a carousel? Something like this should work:
    [carousel type=portfolio orderby=date columns=4 items=8 speed=9000 scroll=all]
    Or if you’re wanting a grid you can use something like this:
    [portfolio_posts items=”10″ columns=”4″]

    In your post settings. Are you setting the post summary to portrait?

    http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#blog_posts

    Is your image at least 360 by 360px?

    are you using the latest posts module in the theme options > home layout?

    Are you setting to one column or two columns?

    hello

    the site i am working on is renewyourmind.tv

    and i am having some trouble getting multiple rows to appear as 1. and by that, i mean, i want 1 row to have 4 columns, and the rows directly above and below it to only have one column. this is for centering purposes. you can see the problem i am having if you go to the home page of my site, and scroll down to the “Recent Services”. you can see that the background color between the top and middle row has no gap, but between the middle and bottom row, there is a gap. i keep running across this issue. i can not figure out what i am doing wrong. some times i get them to appear as 1 by messing with the padding, but sometimes i have no success… even if ive done the same exact thing as times before….

    can you please tell me what i am doing wrong?

    You should not use tables, that is not responsive html. Use the theme columns or page-builder. If you absolutely have to use a table for something then use table press which had a responsive js option.

    For this you’ll have to create a page that doesn’t use a portfolio grid template and add the portfolio posts through a shortcode then add the text underneath.
    This shortcode should work for you: [portfolio_posts items=”10″ columns=”4″]
    Does that make sense?

    Hello,

    I am actually using the page builder with the visual editor widget. I made 2 columns with a background color. Actually the box size is adapted to the text size but I would like all the boxes to be exactly the same height. Is there any solution to do so ?

    Thanks for your help.

    #26412

    Hey,
    Weird and ‘complex’ bug here, and I cannot find the solution 🙁

    I’ve got a portfolio grid page here that won’t update at all, no matter what I change. I did delete a portfolio item (‘ecole Mesrobian’) but still this one shows up; I added other portfolio items of this type but they won’t add to the grid. I also tried to change the number of columns, without success. The mere adding of text in the page (with the corresponding template ‘Liban’) won’t show up!
    This ‘non updating’ behavior only happens to this page! The other portfolios grid work and update fine upon changes; the other portfolio items (related to the problematic portfolio grid) update fine upon changes but the ‘ecole Mesrobian’ item which stopped updating upon new changes yesterday. I deleted it, but still I can access it online here !!!
    Note that I tried to empty the cache of my browsers.. and still this items shows up!
    I also tried to update permalinks and to deactivate recently added extensions, without success ..
    Hope you’ll help me out!

    Cheers,

    Laurent

    Is there a way to enable the Excerpt Text to be included in both or either the [portfolio_post] [carousel type=portfolio] shortcodes??

    Bottom right corner of this page to see example of missing Excerpt Text…

    I see no option for this on either one, is there a hidden option maybe….

    orderby => menu_order and date
    items => (a number of how many items to show ex: 8)
    lightbox => true
    height => (a number of how many pixels in height to crop the portfolio items ex: 200)
    columns => 2, 3, 4 and 5.
    showtypes => true
    cat => (category term slug)

    type => post, portfolio, featured-products, sale-products, best-products and cat-products.
    orderby => menu_order and date
    columns => 2, 3, 4 and 5.
    items => (a number of how many items in carousel ex: 8)
    speed => (A number, in milliseconds. ex: 9000)
    scroll => 1 or “all” (if all carousel will scroll all items showing)
    cat => (only works with portfolio, post and cat-products use term slug)

    As for a Portfolio Web Page there is an example that does work….

    But I would like to use the ShortCode [portfolio_post] here to push the Share Icons to the bottom. When I do I loose the Excerpt Text below the title

    Hello, I created a page called “Featured Products”, giving it the “fullwidth” template.
    I use the following shortcode
    [featured_products per_page="12" columns="4" orderby="rand"]
    I have 20+ products labeled as “featured” but this shortcode only shows 12 products, not more. There is no pagination and no infinite scroll active.
    I have to raise per_page to 100 to show all featured products which is only a limited work around.

    In reply to: Centered Bullet list

    #26245

    Ermanno,
    You want to center the list but you also want to left align the bullet points. Which means you want to left align the list. This does’t really work because of how css works. If it’s center then each item in the list would center itself.

    For a option to try and see if you get the effect your going for open up the page, use page builder and add three columns in a row. The place your list in the middle column. (don’t center it)

    In the Virtue Premium theme, Ive set up some Portfolio grid pages to help categorize and sort my portfolio items. I would like to show just four items in columns on each front page of a Portfolio grid. This looks possible in the settings for Portfolio grid pages.

    When I select settings that show fewer than “all” items per page and view the page, I see the specified number of items on the page.

    At the top is a button that says “All”, which I suppose is a “Show all items” button. It doesn’t do anything – it’s basically dead.

    Below the portfolio items (featured images) are some numbers – pagination numbers to navigate the items not shown on the first page. These also do nothing – they’re dead.

    I would really prefer to be able to use this feature, both for the cleaner look of the portfolio grids with fewer images per page and also because (if implemented well) it should speed loading of the initial grid page.

    Is there a hot fix or something I can download?

    This pagination feature works just fine on the free version of Virtue, which is the main reason i have not yet upgraded my other site (I like my pages).
