I have a client who wants to move away from Joomla. They’re a university with 6+ eating outlets, including a dining hall, Subway and several smaller eateries, and all have different menus and hours. Their current site has a component (maybe it’s a plugin) that manages what we’re trying to replicate in WordPress. I’ve researched Formidable Forms’ Business tier with the DIY Applications capability might work, but wondering if your dynamic data blocks would work also, or some other functionality you offer that I’m not aware of? I’ve never used that functionality so, if it could work, I’d prefer to work with as much baked-in Kadence Blocks Pro features as possible.

What we need to replicate in their new WordPress site:

Pre-loaded locations and hours that display on a couple of web pages and a digital display (basically a customized html page on a TV screen where each are styled differently from each other)
Each location has their own menu(s) that automatically update based on pre-loaded criteria (day, time of day, etc)
The dining hall has a pre-loaded daily menu with a 5-week preloaded rotation cycle (essentially 35 templates, one for each day: ie Cycle One – Sunday, Cycle One, Monday, etc. on through Cycle Five – Saturday)
They also need the capability to update an individual menu item on the fly if something runs out and they replace it with something else.

Thanks for any input and guidance you can provide.

    Sara

    Hi there!

I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

When I inspected one of your blog posts, I saw that the post titles are being set to a normal font-weight. Watch this screen recording – https://share.getcloudapp.com/p9uZ6e1e.

If you are having this issue on all of your posts and pages, do the following steps:

    1. Go to Customizer > Posts/Pages Layout
    2. Check the Page Layout and Single Post Layout settings
    3. Go to their DESIGN tabs and check the option for the title fonts. Make sure that the under the STYLE tab, the bold weight is selected- https://share.getcloudapp.com/2Nupzbnm

I hope this helps, and let us know if we can help you further.

    Regards,
    Karla

    Hey there!

I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

The CSS code to be used will depend on which block you’re using to show the videos. It would be better if we can see a page with your videos added already.

On the other hand, here’s a sample CSS code that you can use if you are adding the video using the Gutenberg YouTube block. Add this to Customizer > Additional CSS:

    .wp-block-embed__wrapper {
        border-radius: 20px;
        overflow: hidden;
    }

Here’s a screen recording of how it worked – https://share.getcloudapp.com/bLuZKlnO.

I hope this gave you an idea of the CSS code to use. Let us know if we can help you further.

    Regards,
    Karla

I’m not sure why, but Woocommerce products are how showing up in Appearance > Menu where I can add them to the primary menu.

    Any ideas why?

I am using nest pages plugin to manage my pages and products.

    Thanks!

For Anyone having the same issue, and wonder what is the outcome, I have chat with the support, and they confirmed this issue:

The issue is: Kadence is still caching minicart when caching plugin enable (Litespeed, WPRocket), that make cart items in mini cart are wrong when navigating between pages.
Other popular woo theme (storefront for example) dont have the issue mentioned above.

This issue have been confirmed by Kandence support, and they are working on it, there are no estimated timeline.

    Hi there!

I went inside your website and purged all your cache but that didn’t make the favicon show on your pages. Also, if I upload your icon image file on my website (I am using the Kadence theme), it works properly – https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KuWqDzG.

I’d like to do more troubleshooting steps but I hope you can give us the permission first. Or you can also try doing them yourself if you haven’t yet. Here’s our guide – https://www.kadencewp.com/blog/how-to-troubleshoot-your-website/.

To temporarily deactivate plugins without affecting your actual website, you can use the Health Check plugin – https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/temporarily-deactivating-plugins/.

Please let us know how it goes and if we can help you further.

    Kind regards,
    Karla

    Hi, Karla!

The first question is clear, thanks!

On the second question… As far as I remember, this problem was on the main page. But after that, I already installed another template from the Starter Templates. Today I put the “Painting Service” again, but I don’t see the “Newsletter” block on the main page. Now there is a “Make An Appointment” block. All this is strange, maybe the template has been updated… In general, now there is no such problem in the template, so the question can be closed.
    Thanks again!

    Hi,

I duplicated the whole row and deleted it again. Then updated the page and everything was working fine again. Weird, but it worked ;).

    @Karla

I see you tried with this links, and said that there are no problem with the theme:
    https://startertemplatecloud.com/g38/

I see the website using WP rocket for caching.
Please check the catching status (inpection network):
    1. No item on page => Homepage => Fastcgi-Cache: HIT
    2. Add item on product page
    3. Return to home page => Home page => Fastcgi-Cache: BYPASS

THIS MEAN THAT PAGE WILL NOT BE CACHED IF THERE ARE AN ITEMS IN CART. THIS IS THE ISSUES. HEAVILY IMPACT WOO PERFOMANCE. NO ECOMMERCE THEME WORKED LIKE THIS (homepage should be cache even if there are item in cart).

Please Note that: Other Popular Woo themes with STILL CACHED THE PAGE IF THERE ARE AN ITEM IN CART (NOT BYPASS CACHED LIKE KADENCE).

There will be no serious high traffic Woo Store use Kadence theme if Page cannot be cached if there are an item in cart,

So this is Kadence issue. Please acknowledege the issue and fix this. Thank you very much.

    So this is Kadence issue.

    Hi there!

Here are the steps that you can follow:

    1. Go to Customizer > Footer
    2. Click the settings icon for the widget where the specific text was added
    3. For the Content Align option, click the icon for mobile
    4. Click the center alignment

    Here’s a screen recording – https://share.getcloudapp.com/o0uJ70PD.

For the second issue, this is what I saw for the homepage of the template demo – https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KuWArAz. Here’s the URL – https://startertemplatecloud.com/g58/.

Please could you send us the exact page?

    Kind regards,

Hi Karla! I tried the health check plugin, but even with all the plugins turned off, as soon as I chose either the Pinnacle Premium or Child theme, the // showed up again as the logo link. It was hard to test with the other themes as they didn’t have the logo image appear, but one did have a site url in the upper left corner and that linked to the normal home page without the //. So I’m assuming it must be a theme issue if it’s doing it even with all the plugins turned off. Is there any kind of CSS I can add to the custom CSS box to prevent the logo from linking weirdly? Not ideal obviously, but if we can’t figure out where the problem is originating from, at least that will prevent people from being “stuck” when they click the logo to go back to the home page. Thanks! 🙂

    Hi, Dana!

Thanks for the login link to your website.

Just a note, the logo of the theme will use the home_url( '/' ) function of WordPress so it should use a home page URL in this format – https://www.example.com/.

I saw that you’re using the latest Pinnacle Premium theme and there are no codes inside the child theme that could change the logo URL. Also, your addresses in Settings > General don’t have an extra “/” at the end.

I checked your plugins but I do not see any that can cause an additional “/” character for our logo link though. On the other hand, could you try the steps from our troubleshooting process here to see if one of your plugins is adding that?

Let us know how it goes.

    Kind regards,
    Karla

    Hi there!

I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

There’s no option to set the content alignment for all the contents/blocks/widgets inside a footer row. The alignments should be set within each footer item’s settings – https://share.getcloudapp.com/JruenwX8.

If you’re having alignment issues with your footer rows, could you send us the page URL so we can inspect the page of its styles? You can mark your reply as private here so only you and the support team can see the URL.

“I found a defect in the template. On the main page at the bottom, the “Newsletter” block. At a resolution of 1024 – 768, the layout breaks down (screenshot 2).”
I didn’t see the Newsletter section – https://share.getcloudapp.com/o0uJ7xD5. Could you confirm the exact page where we can see it?

If that’s a block inside a page content on your website, double-check your spacing settings (Padding/Margin) for mobile views. It seems like the section is too narrow which is why the texts are showing like that.

Let us know how we can help you further.

    Kind regards,
    Karla

    Hi There!

I’m in the process of updating my site, and I have a row with three columns. In each column is an image overlay. While I’m editing I can see all three blocks, but then when I view the live version, I can’t see the third.

I’m uploading screenshots for reference, and here is the live page:

At first everything was working, and I’m unsure of what went wrong.

    Thank you!

    Resolved!

I realized I was trying to use the block’s link styling settings, when all I needed to do was highlight the text I wanted the link styling applied to and select the “link” button from the header / ribbon styling buttons at top of page. Doh!

    #284523

If I want to add a text link to a ‘list item’ in the Icon List block, it styles all text in that list item as the link. How do I just apply the link to one or two words in a sentence, rather than the entire sentence? For example, if the full text in the list item is “Check out my other page about Backdrop Stands & Frames”, how do I make just the “Backdrop Stands & Frames” have the link styling and the rest stay as regular text?

    #284517

Kadence not updating cart item number when using litespeed plugin

    – Click on add to cart -> cart show 1
    – return to home page -> cart show 0

-> Litespeed cache enable, standard option

This is very basic issue that I dont think Big Theme like Kadence has this issue. I tried with other popular Woo themes, they dont have this issue. PLEASE FIX!

    Hi,
In the Starter Templates there is a “Painting Service” template. It’s about the footer. For tablets and phones, the footer is centered in the middle. What setting does this? I can go into each widget and center the elements separately. But here it’s done differently…

ps By the way, I found a defect in the template. On the main page at the bottom, the “Newsletter” block. At a resolution of 1024 – 768, the layout breaks down (screenshot 2).
