In forum: Kadence BlocksIn reply to: Load Google Font on Frontend, need a clarification
Hi there!
I’m sorry for the long delay in getting back to you.
Is there need to leave it enabled if the font is already used in the same page?
No, there’s no need to enable it if the same Google Font is already in use by the page or other text blocks on the same page.
If enabled, sometimes it generates an additional network request for the specific weight of the same font already used in the same page. Is that the way it is supposed to work?
No, the request should be singular. Here’s how it works on my website – https://share.getcloudapp.com/v1uPGR46. Could we have a link to your page where an additional request is being made? This is so we can inspect whether the request is from another plugin.
Is there a way to disable it by default when the user access Advanced Typography Settings?
There is currently no option to disable that by default. On the other hand, you can set the Advanced Text block defaults but the Google Font family will be saved too.
If you do not want that, you can modify the block default attribute. All these can be done by going to the Advanced Text block settings > Advanced tab > Block Defaults – https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAuodzg4. Note: delete the “
typography” attribute too so there will be no Google Font family selected by default.I hope this helps. Please let us know if we can help you further.

Hi, Andy!
I’m sorry for the long delay in getting back to you!
I cannot log in to your website anymore. However, I tried my best to replicate your setup:
- Created a User ACF custom field
- Added an Advanced Button on a page
Here’s a screen recording of how it worked – https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQuWnzDe. As you have seen, the ACF field value of the currently logged-in user was used.
If this is not the same setup as yours, could you describe how you’ve created the “My Account” page?
Please let us know how we can help you further with this.
Kind regards,

April 26, 2023 at 4:21 pm #283535Host is siteground on a dedicated CPU and using CDN
Images have been compressed (actually they’ve been WAY over compressed… I have to reupload most of them, but that’s a different problem haha)
I could give you a list of plugins but I don’t think it would be that helpful? For sure the plugins are adding some bloat, but the reality is that even a blank page in Kadence seems to load quite slow, relative to other themes… It’s got me scratching my head!In forum: Kadence ThemeApril 26, 2023 at 10:30 am #283528Hello
Can someone tell me if any free template or theme achieves a score of 100 or greater than 95 in performance in page speed insight once the site or page is finished with basic plugins such as google analytics, gravity forms contact forms, floating button for whatsapp? .
The template I use (web agency) when installing its value is 90 but as soon as I include some plugins the value drops too much (average performance of 75) and no matter how much I change plugins or install plugins to improve performance I can’t even get it to 90
If anyone has any suggestions to be able to implement a floating button that includes a button for calls and whatsapp that does not affect performance so much.
My knowledge in the creation of pages is minimal, it is my first time that I am making my page and I do not have technical knowledge either.
Thanks

In forum: Kadence ThemeApril 26, 2023 at 12:47 am #283518Hi there,
Thank you for writing.
Currently, there isn’t a way to show the subcategories on category archive pages instead of posts.
You may consider using a third-party plugin:
https://www.wpxpo.com/display-subcategories-on-category-pages-in-wordpress/Then, add the subcategories for each category using the hooked element:
https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/knowledge-base/pro-addon/how-to-use-element-hooks/Lastly, hide the default archive loop using custom CSS:
.archive.category div#archive-container, .archive.category nav.pagination{ display:none }You can also submit a feature request for the Kadence theme at this link:
https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/feature-requests/I hope this helps, and let us know how we can assist further.
Kind regards,
ChitoIn forum: Kadence ThemeHello Support,
I want to show all of my sub-categories on a category archive page instead of showing all posts, my website link: *Login to see link So would you like to help with how to do that?

In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Mobile menu has stopped working
Hi there!
I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
If you disable the LiteSpeed plugin completely, will the issue be fixed when you check it on a mobile device again? When I inspected your page, there is an error for getting a JS file – https://share.getcloudapp.com/o0uYLzDQ.
This file probably is the result of combining JS files. Please could you disable combining JS files from LiteSpeed? This mostly results in broken front-end functionalities.
After doing the above, make sure to purge all your other cache and test again.
I hope this helps, and let us know if we can assist you further.
Kind regards,

April 24, 2023 at 9:27 am #283491Hey Mitzi,
I noticed in your Custom CSS that you have a Filter Code. This code won’t work as Custom CSS. You may want to add it as a Code Snippet to your website instead. You can get Code Snippets Here. You learn more Here.
The filter is labeled as // Hide subscribe box on all event pages in your Additional CSS code. You can remove it from your Additional CSS and add it as a Code Snippet instead.
Best Regards,

In forum: Kadence BlocksI haven’t updated to Kadence 3.0 yet on a few sites, since it nuked my home page when I tested it in Beta. I’ve been busy working on other things, and was pushing it off. I foolishly neglected to turn off automatic updates for WordPress itself, and it auto-updated to WordPress 6.2 upon release. Nothing was broken from what I could see, so I didn’t do anything about it besides switching to maintenance/security auto updates only.
I went to queue up my monthly blog posts today, and I started getting this error in the editor only for Advanced Text blocks, saying “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” (or edited…)
I had been doing a bunch of plug-in updates all month for Kadence – besides the 3.XXX update for the main extension – and was dreading figuring out what the cause was & how much work it’d be to fix. Luckily it became very apparent it was WordPress 6.2, as when I rolled back to the last backup where I was still able to edit Advanced Text Blocks, it still had the auto-update WP thing enabled, and so it immediately updated to 6.2 again. When I went to check on the editor, it was doing the “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” thing again, so it 100% is WordPress 6.2 that is causing it. Everything else was successfully rolled back, since I disabled automatic updates for everything, so the only difference was WordPress 6.0 -> 6.2
What is causing this, and what is the work-around? I can’t find any way to roll back to 6.0 in the admin panel natively, and my backup has the auto-update enabled so I can’t roll back anything to fix it either. Really need to queue up my blog posts for the next month, so any help is appreciated ;_;

April 22, 2023 at 3:46 pm #283464Hi there,
On this post, the table of contents is set up to have an orange list color and an orange box shadow. Also, Post Grid Carousel is supposed to have a box shadow (like further down the page where I have a post grid block linking to my Southern Utah post). When I’m in edit mode it’s all correct, or if I look at things on the same browser where I’m logged into WordPress. But if I look via a different browser or on my cell phone, these things aren’t happening. It’s only on this one post. When I first published it, these things were correct. They’ve since stopped working I guess.
Also on my home page, Post Grid Carousel is not showing up as a carousel, it’s a grid. Again this is only if I look on a browser where I’m not logged into WordPress.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

April 22, 2023 at 6:14 am #283460I’m running into this same issue. I want to use an element loop template for a CPT on a non-archive page. Did you ever figure out a way to do this?

April 21, 2023 at 9:45 pm #283458Having major issues with this… Having seen videos by Kadence touting how “light weight” their page builder is, I built my website according to the design I wanted. Now I’m finding loading times are brutal (worse than my previous “heavy weight” themes)
And I’m not sure what to do.
In case anyone has recommendations or wants to take a look… temp site is loaded at re.signatureedits.com
In forum: Kadence BlocksApril 20, 2023 at 4:15 pm #283434We have a certain category of blog posts displaying on the home page in “Latest Posts” block. I thought that by using “Visibility Conditions” I could choose some posts to exclude, but can’t figure this out. Any direction for this?
