The reason that it doesn’t say “posts page” is because you haven’t assigned it in Settings> Reading. With the theme though, you really should leave the posts page section blank in that area.

I am not really familiar with how the theme works when running a subdomain, but I’ll continue to look into it. If I don’t have an answer for you, the theme developer will be able to clear it up for us when he sees this post.

I always thought that as long as you’re using the blog page template, then your posts will show up on that page like a blog page should. It may not be the case when using a subdomain, but I unfortunately don’t know for sure.

If you think it may be a plugin, it’s always worth checking. You can determine whether or not a plugin is causing the issue by going through each one of your plugins and deactivating one by one to see if their causing the issue.

I’ll let you know if I find anymore info to share with you.

I’m using a custom image and css to replace the standard WordPress bullet points, but when I use the Virtue shortcode to insert a tab field, the tab titles show the custom bullet images next to the title.

You can see what I mean on this page (underneath “Interview Advice”): *Login to see link

Is there a was to hide the bullets in the tab titles only please?

Hi Gérard,
Do you have a page set as your post page from Settings > Reading? If so, remove that. It should be left blank. If that is not the issue try re-saving your permalinks. Go to Settings > Permalinks and save.

Hi

My site is http://www.wellfedfood.com. Currently we display 2 rows of products on the homepage using the following shortcodes (SC) / widgets:

[featured_products columns=2 order=desc]

[product_category category=”featured” columns=”2″ order=”asc”]

However we would like to change the display on the homepage to be a 3 x 3 grid rather than a 2 x 2 one. To do this I have tried to use shortcodes (separated in columns in page builder) as follows:

[featured_products columns=2 order=desc] | [product_category category=”featured”]

[product_category category=”snacks” columns=”3″ order=”asc”]

Unfortunately, when I put the [product_category category=”featured”] shortcode on the first row the product displays strangely (with small picture & description) rather than as normal (i.e. as products display on site now). Do you know why this is? And whether there is a way to correct it?

Hello Kevin
I go in my media library on wordpress (all my pictures and PDF’s i need in my home page). I select the picture I would like to cut out in the media library (so that the mountains on the first slides are propperly shown). Now the picture is shown after selection, but as soon as I press the buttom (bottom left) the picture is not shown on the change screen. I’m not able to cut out (change the picture).

Tried it, didn’t work. The site is at http://www.boomerdiy.com. Just to reiterate, and thank you so much for the help, the other pages are fine with an always-present header and menu. I just would like the splash page or opening page to display an edge to edge Revo slider whose button gets the viewer to a shopping page that has the header and menu that’ll get them to the remainder of the site. I’m not even sure if Virtue can be setup like that.

First, the second issue above (the images in blog posts) worked. Thanks.

As to the original/first issue, I think we’re getting our messages crossed. So, I created some screen shots to show you.

The main domain (jerryzarley.com), where I originally uploaded and activated the theme, I followed the instructions to create the Blog template. The following screen shots show how that page worked out:

The sub domain (news.jerryzarley.com), where I subsequently uploaded the theme, I again followed the instructions to create a Blog template. Besides the Page Tree view, the following screen shots show a different result:

In the future you may want to consider hiring a developer. Web development is a lot of trial and error and if you don’t have the patience for it, it can be frustrating.

The reason that it behaves this way is because there is no definitive size for browser windows. Every computer screen varies, so the theme has to take this into account when stretching the slider vertically.

The slider on that page is acting the exact same way as the one on yours. if you change the browser window size to be shorter when viewing demo style 4, you can see this.

So you’ll just have to mess around with the settings. I’m currently installing the demo style 4 on my test site so I can tell you exactly how it’s setup.

Hopefully that will clear things up.

I also noticed in the proslider the image I uploaded does not appear which makes me think there is still a bug. I can see the image on the legacy slider. Should I change my legacy slider to pro, the existing one on my shop page, will it make any difference at all?

Hi Kevin,

The plugin is up to date. The one I’m having a issue with is made with the pro slider and the one that seems work okay was made with legacy.

I also tried to upload another image and it won’t let me.

Can you please look at my slider titled home page and let me know why its displaying the text all over the place, it was fine before I change to max height and width.

4. the size of the images is dependent on your site’s needs. There are no specific sizes that are best. A 1200×1200 image should be working fine though.

Have you tried clearing your cache after making the changes to the kadence slider? You could also try saving the image and reloading the page after you make the changes to the slider.

Also, be sure that you’re all up to date on all of your plugins, including the slider. Mine is not exhibiting this issue and I can edit everything just fine on my site.

the kadence slider is acting really weird, it won’t show the image I uploaded on the edit slide page, yet the image is live on my home page. After I changed tot max width the image looks great but the text is out of place, now I want to try to fix the text but the image and text don’t appear on the edit slide page all of a sudden, something is buggy.

I’m not entirely sure, but that may just be the way the developers choose to set it up. I could also be entirely wrong though.

Either way, you’re getting a lot of console errors on that page, which I am sure have to do with the slider not loading. I don’t have a definitive answer for you at the moment, but the theme developer will be able to clear it up for us when he sees this.

He will let us know as soon as he sees this. I’ll keep looking into it in the meantime though.

Just incase, I would also try to disable your plugins one by one to see if there are any in there causing this issue.
