I can see that you’re using the Kadence Theme, not the Ascend Theme. Please note that these two themes are different from each other. For a short comparison of our themes, you can see this post – https://www.kadencewp.com/theme-comparison/.

An active class is added to the menu items if their URL is the current page. Since all of your menu links are on the homepage and just have the hash on the URL, it is marked active while you’re on the homepage. We do not have a built-in option to remove the active states for this. You’ll have to add a custom script like this so they will not be marked as active on the homepage unless clicked.

You can add the script in Customizer if you have the Kadence Theme Pro addon – https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/knowledge-base/pro-addon/how-to-add-scripts-in-header-footer/.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

1: I have learned that your new code is actually part of your own fontello collection, as fontello includes several (fontello?) icon families. You do suport a few, how could I change to those for say, selected icons? Or in other words, select one of the other icon families you are supporting?

I’m sorry but I am a bit confused with this question. We use the virtue icons font for the theme’s icons, we don’t have a selection of what icon font to use.

2. There is a default max-width for the containers and there is no option to adjust it. If you want, you can add this in Theme Options > Advanced Settings > Custom CSS if you want to make the container width wider for larger screens:

 .container {
    width: 1400px;
 }
}

3. Regarding the “out of range” error, could you send us a screenshot of that? For the other issue, if you have the unprefixed CSS property “transtion”, you can remove those lines of code from your CSS code. You can see the note on this page.

I viewed your page and the row background images are looking good.

On the other hand, if you don’t want the fixed effect for mobile views, I would suggest using Scroll for the tablet and/or mobile views background images instead. This should scroll the background images with the page, not “fixed” effect. Hi,

I have been attempting to add tabs into creating a mega menu but the tabs always seem to stack on top of each other on PC rather than displaying side by side.

This is how I want it to show up as (when hovering over the menu item):

I have tried adjusting numerous settings but nothing seems to work and the tabs will always stack on top of each other despite working perfectly when being inserted into a page.

Hi, Bruno!

If you have already set the default padding/margin for the Row Layout and Section blocks, each new block you add will use those padding values, regardless if it is a new page/post. You don’t need to edit the values anymore unless needed.

Hello Jordan,

Thank you for sending in the link to your website. I was able to see which blocks you are using to create your page. It looks like you are using the WordPress Core Heading block inside a Cover block.

The block seem to have its own styling that’s not following the style set in the typography settings. You can try using the Advanced Text instead, this block has its own font size settings that will allow you to adjust the font size in different screen sizes and if you do not touch these settings, it will follow the typography settings you set in the customizer.

I tried to replicate the possible settings you have on your Post Grid/Carousel block using the screenshot you gave. I set my page to have a sidebar, used the same Post Grid/Carousel block layout settings and type. However, I am still not able to replicate the issue where the pagination moves on top of the page.

Do you have other custom CSS on your website?

I tried replicating the issue on our test website but I was not able to. The Brand filter shows the correct number of products on the shop page and product category pages. Here’s a screen recording for your reference – https://share.getcloudapp.com/7Ku6Pd6v.

For us to have a clear view of the issue, could you send us a screen recording or a link to your shop page? You may set your reply as private so only you and the support team can see the link.

Additionally, please could you double-check if all your products are published? It is possible that some of the are not yet published thus, they are not being counted.

Lastly, if you haven’t yet, please do the troubleshooting steps in this article. This should help you fix or pinpoint the cause of the issue.

And it’s an example. Sometimes the post grid/carousel block used may be further down the page.
and when we click on one of the pagination buttons, it does not stay on the posts but it goes to the very top of the page.

or another possibility, I would like to put infinite scroll
if it is possible – how ?

Thanks for sending the screen recording.

I’ve watched the screen recording, and it seems you’re having an issue adjusting to the font size. Have you checked if the text you’re trying to edit is an H1 text?

I tried to adjust the Font size on my test site and here’s the result, please watch: https://share.getcloudapp.com/12uLAONn

As you can see, I changed the font size from H1 to H3, but you can only see the texts being adjusted for H2 font. It’s because the text that I’m using is an H2. If I used H1 or H3 fonts, then, I would definitely see that the H1 or H3 text is being adjusted too.

I also tried adjusting the font size on both desktop and mobile view and I can adjust it without any issue.

However, if the text you’re adjusting is an H1 font, would it be possible to send the exact URL of the page where the texts are located so we can inspect and replicate?

Cover block and Image block are WordPress Core blocks, I believe these blocks do have a means to assign them links to another page.

I have the same problem. I tried deactivating other plugins without effect. I tried erase every cach that i know. The problem appered after some months, when i add new products on production site. Then i tried it on staging, where i erase product brand. Product brand filter show old number, before changes. I don’t use any cash plugin. In Admin – Products – Brands, where is brands set is correct number. Filter product brands is set in Catalog Off Canvas Sidebar.

My real examle of weird behavior:
1. When i am on main shop page, there is 9 product with the brand XYZ. In filter widget is now showed only 2. After filtrating, in loop is 9 product with brand XYZ, but filter widget showed number 5.
2. Then i go to category. There is 8 product with XYZ. Filter widget showed 2. After filtratign in loop is 8 products and now filter widget showed correct 8.
3. Then i go to subcategory. There is 8 product with XYZ. Filter widget showed 2. After filtratign in loop is 8 products and now filter widget showed correct 8.
4. Then i go to sub subcategory, where all the products are asociated. There is 8 product with XYZ. Filter widget showed 2. After filtratign in loop is 8 products and now filter widget showed wrong 3.

I can’t found any logic in that.

I tried add widget to standard sidebar (no off canavas), problem is still there.

And now i found one more problem. I have one product with brand YYY. But this product is hidden in search and catalog, but it can by still filtred in brand filter.

I tried Brand product list widget. There is good numbers in it, but it is not filter, i know. But here is same problem with hidden products. It count with them.

Can you please make more complex test of this feture?

The funny thing is that it only happens on existing subpages, not on new ones. Which theme option add that class? Before an update there weren’t any issues with it. I’d prefer to fix it normally, not with CSS.

HI again Hannah,

Problem solved.

Background.
Years ago, when I installed the new Kadence Theme, I was told I could delete/uninstall the plugin Virtue -Toolkit, because that plugin was for the older Kadence Themes. I let it stay for some reasons: https://sv.wordpress.org/plugins/virtue-toolkit/

So, I uninstalled it, and my “Portfolio” function was gone with it. Now when I re-installed the plugin, via “Add-New” in WordPress, and activated it. All Portfolio pages/galleries were there and restored! YAY!!!!

Conclusion: I will rescue all my illustration galleries on Portfolio pages. And just make them on regular “Pages” in Wordpres. When that is done, I will uninstall this plugin. I belive I have had a similar situation several years ago. But then it got restored with an update of a the old Kadence theme I used at the time.

All in all, It seem you at Kadence dont use “Portfolios” in your new Kadence Theme.

My clients can watch my fabulous art again!

Hi Hannah,

I don’t know what a CPT plugin is, to be honest. I used Portfolio pages and the Advanced gallery block.
My website is http://www.canvas.nu | http://www.stefanlindblad.com

It is the very function in WordPress “Dashboard/Portfolio” where “Portfolio” pages is just no longer an option. There is no such thing left. So, consequently in Dashboard /Customize/Menus/ there just isn any “portfolio ” pages to add to the Menu I created.

Today I updated to the latest Kadence Theme version. Same problem – no more any Portfolio pages function.
