In reply to: Header Won’t Change in Preview
Thank you for the reply! I’ve attached a video of what I’m seeing. When I access the header/footer editing through Appearance > Settings > Header it takes me to the same menus.
Is there somewhere else I should be doing the header editing?
Take a look and let me know if I’m in the wrong place.
Thank you!
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Having different footers per language
January 19, 2024 at 8:46 am #287152Hi there!
Can you confirm if you have created the menu in Polylang? Check the article: https://polylang.pro/doc/create-menus/
I have checked the legacy widget at my end, the language option is displaying. Check the screenshot: https://share.zight.com/OAuNLN91
As Karla mentioned, if you use Kadence Theme Pro, you can create a different footer using the Hooked Elements feature. You can use an option for specific pages/posts.
Here’s a link to our documentation for your reference – https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/how-to-replace-the-footer-using-a-kadence-element/.
This is how I created a footer specifically for Tagalog pages/posts – https://share.zight.com/9Zu4G7O4
If the issue persists, you can also send a support ticket to look closer at this issue.

Hi there!
I see it here and I’m only using the free PolyLang plugin – https://share.zight.com/KouKmPRO.
Do you have the Kadence Pro add-on? If you do, you can utilize the Hooked Elements feature. There is an option there to replace footers for specific pages/posts.

In forum: Kadence ThemeI’m using Kadence for a multi-language site (using Polylang) but can’t find how to change the widgets in the footer per language.
Ideally, I’d like to have a different footer per language.
I’m also fine with setting up multiple widgets in the footer and somehow displaying them based on the page language.
Any pointers how I can get that to work?
ThanksIn forum: Kadence ThemeDecember 27, 2023 at 3:09 pm #286892Hey Patrick,
Thanks for reaching out. Can you confirm that you are adding the Address by editing one of the Footer Widgets and using a Paragraph Block?
Whenever using WordPress and pressing Enter to add a new Line, it will automatically create a new Paragraph Block. You can fix this by holding Shift and Pressing Enter at the same time to do a Line Break. Then you can put your address line by line and avoid the gap.
Here is a video of this process for reference: Click Here To View The Video
I hope this information was helpful to you. Please let us know if this works for you.
Best Regards,
VictorI’m want to put my business address in the footer of my Kadence Pro Theme.
How do I do it so there isn’t a huge gap between each line?
For example, right now it looks like this:
Acme Company
1234 E Main St.
Springfield, OH 87254
I want it to look like this:
Acme Company
1234 E Main St.
Springfield, OH 87254I know is is easy to do but for some reason I can’t figure it out.

In forum: Kadence BlocksIn reply to: Kadence Blocks Pro doesn’t work
December 17, 2023 at 9:49 pm #286732I just now noticed that no blocks from any plugin can be added in kadence sidebar…so its not just kadence blocks…others as well. The footer widget and others allow for inserting…so the problem is just with the sidebar it seems.

In forum: Kadence BlocksDecember 13, 2023 at 11:16 pm #286695Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
I checked the website you referenced, but it’s not using the Kadence theme.
Navigation and Layout
This depends on your requirements and design. If we can see the wireframe, perhaps we can give advice or suggestions. Some websites provide short menu labels and quite a few links on the header and footer for easy navigation.
To enhance the header menu, you can create Kadence mega menu:
https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/how-to-create-a-mega-multicolumn-menu/Mobile Responsiveness
The Kadence theme and Kadence Blocks have options to adjust the settings for desktop, tablet, and mobile. See example of a responsive setting: https://share.zight.com/X6ungn7lTypography and Readability
In my above screenshot, you can adjust the font sizes for based font and heading in Customizer > Colors & Fonts > Typography.Using a large font size (e.g., 90px) would have an issue with responsiveness. You can test out different font sizes and check them for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Here’s a guide: https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/how-to-preview-the-mobile-version-of-your-site-on-desktop/
The recommended font size for mobile is at least 16px.
Performance Optimization
There’s no built-in functions in Kadence to optimize a website. The Kadence theme is lightweight and already incredibly fast.We have an article about website optimization you can refer to:
https://www.kadencewp.com/need-for-speed/It’s also important to have a good hosting. Though the page load speed also depends on how you build a page and the plugins you use. You may also want to make sure you use minimal blocks so you can prevent having a large DOM size, which also affects the page load speed.

December 13, 2023 at 12:11 am #286654Hi there,
If you use social icons in the content area, you could use the Gutenberg Social Icons block. However, we don’t have control over this block.
You could also use the Kadence Custom Icons feature to upload your own icons:
https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-blocks/custom-icons/For the header and footer social icons, currently you can only upload 3 custom icons. If you’d like to submit a public feature request for the social icons that you want to add, you can do so at this link: https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/feature-requests/
We can’t tell how often Kadence adds social icons, but right now, there are a lot of things going on in Kadence development, and it might take a while before the developers review your request.
Let us know how we can assist further.
Best,
ChitoIn forum: Kadence ThemeI’m trying to set up a transparent header, so that the site logo and navigation menu sits on top of the cover image. Like this: *Login to see link
What I did:
1) Header > Transparent Header > Enable Transparent Header
2) Posts/Pages Layout > Page Layout > Content Vertical Padding > DisableThis works, partly, but I’m having an issue. There is a top margin above the header section. I’m able to fix this by adding a negative top margin, but I’d rather avoid this if possible.
This is my code to remove the top margin:
/* Add negative top margin to pull the header and content flush to the top of the page */
.site-container {
margin-top: -32px;
}/* Add top margin to push site logo back down the page */
.site-branding {
margin-top: 40px;
}Is there another way to do this without adding a negative top margin? Also, how do you remove the top shadow on the footer section?
I’ve attached some pics so you can see what I mean. I can’t show URL as I’m testing locally on WP Local for now.
Thank you

My website has a menu that is emphasized in the footer. I discovered CSS codes that worked in articles with same problems, but mine didn’t.
Can the horizontal lines beneath each link be removed? Visit *Login to see link to access the website. In forum: Membership ForumsIn reply to: Search in Footer
November 16, 2023 at 12:19 am #286382Hi Konrad,
The header widgets can’t be used in the theme footer.
Currently, there’s no search widget available in the footer, but you can use the Gutenberg Search block. See screenshot: https://share.zight.com/E0umObjY
Basically, you can add any Gutenberg-based blocks in the footer widgets.
You can also submit a feature request for the Kadence theme here:

November 15, 2023 at 6:25 am #286367There is a wonderful search tool that can be used in the header – but on our current project, I’d like to add it to the footer. Alas, the list doesn’t show it there. Can I make it available to the footer, too?
