Hi!
I have two questions, the first:
Is it possible to reduce the size of the font of the home page slider in ”portrait-mode for iPad”?
In landscape-mode the font looks fine, but in the portrait-mode the font is quite big.
See this link for what I mean: *Login to see linkSecond question:
When I turn my iPad from portrait-mode to landscape-mode the portfolio-slider will not adjust to the right screen size.
It will only show a part of the last picture. Is it possible to fix this problem?
If you turn the iPad from landscape-mode to portrait-mode the problem is visible too, but to a lesser extent.
See these links for a view of the problem:

Thanks, it all worked!
Is there a way to proportionally shrink the size of the font in the mobile version of the home page slider?
Because now the font size in the mobile version of the home page slider is very big.
The font size in the ”iPad resolution” is oke, but on a iPhone the font size looks quite big.Frank
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Header Style
Hi there!
After changing my Header Style from ‘Standard’ to ‘Basic, with shrink for sticky’ I had noticed that if I were to adjust the size of the window I would get what you see here. This is actually a shot from what it looks like on my iPad but I did the same to my computer and was able to produce the same results unfortunately. 🙁 If you know of way that I could get this to work properly, please let me know! I’d much rather have it be somehow attached to the actual menu as kind of a call to action button to showcase that we are hiring or have job opportunities, but if I can’t have that, I’d rather just have the whole menu closer together but if it somehow overlaps and shoots under the other nav menu’s, I’d like for it to be white. Hopefully this makes sense, I’ve been trying to figure this out for the past 2 hours without stopping.
**Oh, and if you visit my, site which is at ccs.tech2call.net, is there a way that I can make it so the first slide is already there and doesn’t have to transition and slide from right to left?
Hopefully you all can help me!
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Adjust Home Page for mobile
I am using a child theme and have added some css to remove my footer from devices below 780 px width.
The display of my home page
temp.avmi.net
looks good on an iPhone in portrait mode but in landscape mode, the second row of images (configured using the page builder plugin) align to the left and do not fill the screen.
Can you suggest some css to enlarge the second row of images to fill, or at least align center on the screen, in displays less than the iPad landscape and greater than the iPhone portrait?
Thanks

July 29, 2014 at 10:34 am #13999Hey so actually with the responsive nature of the theme and page-builder the columns change to rows when you get on smaller screens. So to do what you want will just require a little css. To target ipads but not iphones here is the css:
@media (min-width: 760px) { .homecontent .pg-8-0 .panel-grid-cell { width:33.33%; } }Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Home page image columns
Hi everyone 🙂
I have this website here : *Login to see link
When viewing it on the ipad on landscape mode it displays
just fine with three columns below the main slider. In portrait
Mode however, the three images are displayed as three rows
in one column. How do i make it auto-resize so it stays in three column mode?
In page-builder it is set to three columns at the top each 33% wide.
I thought it was supposed to do that automatically.I appreciate your help 🙂

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Ipad Logo
Hi i am having trouble getting my logo image to show up on i-pad. It shows up as a question mark on my ipad and all other i-pads I’ve tried. It works great on all other platforms except ipads for some reason, i have tried multiple I-pads and the same error keeps showing up.

Hi,
I have my mobile menu and slider setup in settings. Is there any way for me to have the menu on an ipad look like the normal computer menu version? I ask because the dropdown navigation menu on the non-mobile site looks much cooler and the Ipad doesn’t need the smaller width of the mobile menu.
Thanks.
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Mobile setting
Hi,
I read past posts about the mobile menu setting and I still can’t get it to work on my ipad/iphone. My mobile menu setting is to “on”. I also tried going to the “appearance” menu and selected my mobile menu there. So right now the menu isn’t showing on mobile devices.

June 19, 2014 at 9:36 am #11114Hmm I don’t have my ipad handy at the moment to test. I can’t see anything that would cause it not to work. You can try adding this css, it might help.
.kad_img_upload_widget a { display:block; }Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Links not working on Ipad
Hi,
I have created some image links on my home page and they work on the desktop and mobile but not the Ipad.
Have you had this enquiry before or know how to correct it.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Post preview with image & a few questions
Ben, you rock! Thanks so much. I disabled photon and everything is now smooth as butter on my iPad. I also implemented your other recommendations, and everything works great.
About the images, I had just dropped in links to Flickr images so I’m not seeing the same options that I would had I selected something from my library. Is there a way around this aside from uploading all of my pics? It’s not a big deal if not.
Yes, padding on all of the blog posts page was what I was thinking, but now I’m reconsidering. Here’s my issue: I’m finding that the text extends pretty far to the right of the pictures. It’s not a huge deal by any means, but if I could tighten up the text a bit so that the text width and the picture widths line up, I thought that it might look a little cleaner. Having said that, everything lines up great on my iPad except for the odd picture that’s a little more narrow than the others. Is there a more elegant solution to even this out when viewing the site using my desktop resolution?

May 28, 2014 at 1:05 pm #9706Jetpacks photon is the issue on your site. It will drastically slow down your site. Turn if off and I bet the ipad works great.
“I’d prefer a text-only option for similar posts anyway” – You can hide the image with css by adding this to your custom css box in the theme options > advanced settings:
.blog-carouselcase .blog_item .imghoverclass {display:none;}“I also haven’t figured out yet what determines whether a post is “similar.” Tags?” – no categories.
“is there an easy way to center images within a post?” – when you add the image by clicking the add media button. In the popup window look in the bottom right corner there is an alignment select box. Just select center.
“what is the best way to go about having some padding around a post?” – Not sure I understand? Do you want padding on the blog posts page with all the posts or on an individual blog post.

Hi Ben,
Thanks for the fast reply! The link is http://www.christys-cookies.com/.
Your page looked great on my iPad. I also checked Safari, but it’s behaving similarly to Chrome when I load my site. I can see the image from the first post, then only the 2nd post shows (despite my having 4 posts viewable on the home page) and the image for that 2nd post is replaced with a “?”
Thanks for the info about the select box for the carousel. That would be why I couldn’t find it–I was looking in the theme settings.
Edited to add:
Perfect about the date font, thank you!
I removed the carousel which made the posts load quickly on my iPad and it eliminated the freezing and stuttering. Wonder what the issue is. I’d prefer a text-only option for similar posts anyway–is there a way to do that? I also haven’t figured out yet what determines whether a post is “similar.” Tags?
And for my last questions–is there an easy way to center images within a post? I Googled this, but it seems that it requires a CSS edit? Finally, what is the best way to go about having some padding around a post? Making each post within a table?

May 28, 2014 at 12:22 pm #9701Hey,
For starters can you post a link? And it sounds like your ipad is having issues. Try on the demo page here because there shouldn’t be any issues with showing images or carousels on an ipad: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/As for the similar posts you can turn it on and off individually on each post using the post options. There is a select box for he post carousel.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
I noticed that when I set my home page blog preview from text to image that I’m having problems with the site stuttering and freezing on my iPad. Additionally, it only shows the image from the first post, but the other three posts on the page show broken pictures. It looks beautiful on my Samsung Galaxy and on my desktop, though. All three are running Chrome. Due to this, I was wondering if it would be possible to change the mobile site to only show the text preview, while maintaining the image preview on the desktop site? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Next question–I somehow enabled a “Similar Posts” carousel on my blog post pages, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to turn that option off. Could you please let me know where that is? Again, the iPad is the problem. While it looks fantastic on desktop, the carousel freezes iPad.
Last question–is there a way to give the post date box its own font? It’s sharing with another font, though I forgot which heading it was, but I’d like to use something else just for that date box if its possible.
Thanks so much! 🙂
