Hi,

I wanted to start translating Pinnacle in my own language (Dutch) but I noticed that two textdomains are used in the theme: ‘virtue’ and ‘pinnacle’.
As there are only 31 instances of the virtue textdomain, I’m assuming this is some copy/paste error?

No, you can’t need to create pages as categories when you create the category thats all you have to do.

I’m looking and it seems your trying to use polylang to have a muitiligual shop. I’ve not known anyone to use polylang and woocommerce. I know many that use WPML and woocommerce.

Regardless something isn’t working in terms of your permalinks. For example I can easily get the defualt to work by setting polylang to hide the language url for defualt but I can’t get the other language to work. That got me thinking. Polylang and pagebuilder don’t work well together (WPML does works fine).

So I deactivated pagebuilder and there you go. The site is fine. So if you need pagebulder then I would suggest looking for a differnet languange plugin like WPML.

Ben, Starting to work on translation, it started something strange with the top bar menu.
See the link here http://www.gaspard.be/www/index.php/language/fr/menu/ for printscreen.
Explainations: when I use an iPad to check mobile behavior, by clicking on anchor link from menu (EN – Our achievements – Our sunscreens), the Menu appears like on the printscreen.

It seems to be linked to the Script you gave me on previous topic: “Scroll issue and Mobile Menu does not collapse #70891”
When I remove the script which forces a collapse for Mobile menu, it is OK. But of course the standard menu does not collapse.

I’am using The cadence slider on my site with the vitue premium theme, wooCommerce and WPML.
Just using the Dutch and English language, translated the Kadence slider but it is’t be visible on my site.
The original “Dutch” slider has ID 604, the translation “English” ID 1275.
Any idea?

A touch device doesn’t have “hover” the same way that a device with a mouse does.

I can see your site. What are you not seeing? I see the red text on hover?

You will want to add this css:

#topbar #kad-mobile-nav {
    display: none;
}

Keep the topbar mobile totally hidden.

Ben, I’m very sorry, it seems I have difficulties to explain what I wanted to have between TopBar menu and Header menu, especially for Mobile device.
What I have done:
– one image with the current situation (On mobile Device)
– on image with my wishes (meaning same topbar menu for desktop and for mobile device).

Ok you can either use pagebuilder to make a row fullwidth stretched or use the cyclone/shortcode option in your theme options. Then in WPML or polylang you can use string translations to translate the shortcode for each language.

Ben,
Before to start implementing child theme, may be there is another simplest way for me.
I’m using Polylang for MLP.
Inside the TopBar I used EN-FR-DE-NL références to language as from language switcher.
Ergonomicaly (if this word exists in English), I would prefer on mobile device to not have the drop down menu – personally I think 2 drop down menus is not cool – but keep the desktop TopBar as for mobile too.
Is this possible?

I wanted to create a dedicated mobile menu (desktop Language Top Bar Menu + desktop standard Menu), then reading several posts here, I discovered that in Appearence – Menu – Menu settings, I’ve not any possibility to select Mobile Menu, but well Primary, top bar and footer.
Can you tell me which parameters I need to activate to have such parameter enabled?

I have created revolution slider for homepage, as landing page. All other things are hidden on home page, and it should be full screen slider. You can choose there language. It’s like intro page.

Problem is with about 5 px before and 5px after slider that is shown. How can i remove that, only on homepage?

The featured products have disappeared, all the rest elements have lost the normal order and look, and the text inside became hieroglyphs instead of Russian language. Other pages look normally. Could you please help me with that?

Hi, I want my woocommerce site in Finnish language. But when i change the language in dashboard setting and click on product , it says the page is not found. It works well if i add to the card but not on product click. The difference that i found is that url that it send when clicked in english has “product” word but that in Finnish is “tuote”. I dont know if i cleared my problem but expect some suggestions . Thanks.’

From what I can tell all three languages are taking around the same time to load. You can test your page speed here- http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/
Compressing images can make a huge difference in page speed. I would also suggest a caching site such as W3 Total Cache or WP Rocket.

Hi Ben,

I am building a site with WPML in 3 languages (English, Traditional Chinese & Simplified Chinese).

The site is frequently not loading…..

The server company feedback this site is overusing all the resources (CPU, RAM etc…), maybe due to the revolutionary slider

I have a single language site with the slider & it is running fine.

I do want to keep the slider.

What can I do to ensure all 3 languages can be loaded smoothly?

I recently purchased WPML Multilingual CMS and am in the process of converting my website in multiple languages. I seem to be able to get it working for most pages, posts, etc. except for the home page. My home lay-out includes only Content and “Latest Blog Posts” (but in Dutch) and I have used Home Blog Settings to set a custom text for Home Blog Title.

I seem unable to i) find where I can translate this title and ii) how to display it on the translated page.
