    Hello,
    I’m back with another question. In my other thread I told you that I’m pretty new to wordpress. I’m coming from Drupal7 and I changed the cms, because the modules are getting more and more worse. With my old cms I was able to do the following below.

    Is there a way to select in a new posting in which page the posting should go and not automatically to the default blog page?
    I need two pages, one called “new” for my default blog posting and one blog page as blog type for special postings.

    Could be there any conflict when I use two pages with blog type settings?

    Why I need this? Ok, I need the news for every thoughts and news around an issue to post (default). The other page should be for special things only, for example travel resorts. I tried it with category function, but the disadvantage is that it will appear in the category page and default blog page. An exclude function would be enough 😉

    Please call me noob if it’s so easy to change, hehe.

    Hey,
    If you want a fullwidth photo you can either use the revolution slider and paste the shortcode at the top of your page, or use page builder. Create a row and set layout to full width and upload a background image.

    Hello,
    I’m pretty new to wordpress and I’m using the virtue premium theme. At start I used the free theme with the wonderful virtue toolkit, an easy wysiwyg editor.

    So, just now I bought the premium theme and I miss the good looking editor for pages. The older one isn’t working anymore with premium and the new virtue shortcodes doesn’t look so nice and no icons like vimeo or youtube and so on is shown in the editor list. Is there a way to drag and drop some code icons from virtue shortcodes folder into the editor bar to get the pretty nice look back?

    The last question I have is that I can’t find the gallery plugin, for example maisonry picture gallery. That gallery is offered in the premium features on Kadence Themes website. Where do I get it? It there anywhere a folder for downloading plugins escpacially for virtue premium theme in my account?

    Don’t punch me, I tried the search function first 😉

    Hi, I started using Virtue Premium recently, it’s a great theme!
    I encounter a specific situation, searched around the forum but can’t find a solution.

    Here is the situation:

    (1)
    I set Home Portfolio Carousel in Theme Option > Home Layout > Home Portfolio Carousel Settings
    It has all the controls I need, see page at:

    (2)
    But I can’t find “carousel speed” and “scroll settings” on individual Portfolio post “Bottom Carousel Options” area, therefore unable to maintain the same look-and-feel.

    I did find the shortcode approach by adding [carousel type=portfolio orderby=date columns=5 items=8 speed=4000 scroll=all] in visual editor area, but the Carousel ends up tiny under the text content area. please see:
    On this page I also kept the “Bottom Carousel Options” generated one for comparison.

    Will you please advise what should I do to achieve the desired look.

    Hi, Well I have a problem, in my firts page I have a Revolution Slider and the images has no marges, like this .

    But, If I create a new page and I put an image, this image has a marge like this , and I want this image has no marge. How I can do this ?

    Hi guys,

    I have a small favor to ask! This is the page I need the change on:

    I’d like to have the Shower Purifier on the left side and the shower filter on the right side, I tried giving them order numbers and it did not work, how can I make it happen in Virtue?

    Hi Hannah,
    I am not sure I understood your question? What is confusing you?
    I have disabled box layout since I am not able to make it wider to fit the side bar ads inside the box. Did you see this page -> http://www.encryptoapps.com/?page_id=18

    You will see there is a side bar ads. If I enable boxed layout which I want then it overlaps with the border by 5/10 px. I want the ads within the box. So if I could make the box wider by 10 px or so, it would fit it inside the box. Does it make sense?
    When I tried your code snippet I enabled the box layout and check and it didn’t work. Any other solutions?

    I have featured images set for all my posts which appear fine in the blog roll like on the home page. On the category pages though, such as the posts are listed without the featured image.

    Is there any way to display featured images here?

    1. how do I add my custom made icons to this list to choose from?

    2. yeah I followed the instructions on this tut. I created the p. grid and for each category I uploaded a bunch of images. When you click on the category it displays those images but when ever you click on an image from this bunch it displays the image in lightbox… I want it to go to its attachment page so I can talk about each image. how would I do that?

    Hey, you didn’t actually include any links? Updating shouldn’t effect your settings. In your page builder options make sure the row layout is set to full width and the background image style is set to parallax.

    Hello, I just upgraded my virtue theme to the latest version, but something was modified in my frontpage.

    The upgradedsite with problems is: . (I want to solve this)
    The non-upgraded example site using the old virtue version is (this is what i want)

    before the upgrade, I had a wide parallax call to action with a parallax efect (you cann still see it in my old site here: ). But after the upgrade the parallax efect is gone and the box height is now shorter.

    I can see there are changes in the visual page builder, how can I set this call to action as it was before?

    Thanks again for the quick reply, Ben.

    I have implemented what you suggested, and that works very well. Thanks.

    But it still involves going into each individual post and making those changes and I’m hoping to default set new portfolio posts to soft crop tp save a lot of time.

    Regarding the CSS addition to the Advances Settinga in the Theme Options, I must admit I have just learnt what CSS is from this page: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_intro.asp

    Do you have some magic CSS code that will set portfolio posts to default display images as soft crop? If not, do you have any suggestions of a plugin which will do that.

    Either way, I appreciate your great timely help so far.

    Hey,
    1. So in the portfolio grid page like here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/portfolio/
    You can make the portfolio setting to not crop in the page settings: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#portfoliogridpage
    Just turn off crop to equal height.

    2. In the single portfolio posts your second option is the project options. There you can choose image list style 2. Then in the portfolio slider images just add one image into the slider image gallery there.
    That one image will keep it’s aspect ratio.

    3. By adding css I am referring to adding css in the theme options > advanced settings. Css doesn’t go into a functions file.
    If you follow one and two then you don’t need to use any extra css.

    Hi Ben,

    Thanks for the quick and helpful reply.

    1. On portfolio posts and on blog posts you can set the width and height in the post settings. If you want a certain aspect ratio then make sure the width and height match that aspect ratio.

    This is quite obvious now you mention it, and clearly works for the blog posts as they will be done individually. Thanks. But I have many many photos that I will be uploading and creating portfolio posts automatically using a plugin so it would be useful to have the default setting as soft crop, as it now is with the shop and product pages. I will therefore try and put into action your other suggestions, but I am a bit of a noob and don’t quite understand how to do that:

    You can then use css to force the images to stay within a certain size but you can’t use the theme image sizing as the css. That crops and it will hardcrop if you are using those settings.

    What is meant by ‘you can use CSS’? Does that mean I need to enter a specific code into the functions.php?

    But for example if you place the image in the portfolio images. Then make your project type list 2 then it won’t crop your image height.

    Sorry I don’t understand this. Is this an option withing the ”add new portfolio post’ editor?

    Thanks for your help and sorry for the barrage of questions. It will be a beautiful site when it’s done.
