Had to re-install Revolution Slider.

How do I remove all the demo content to restart or would that not be wise? Also is there a reason the ‘PageBuilder’ tab is no longer visible?

Thanks for the quick reply, for the first part, I cannot do this (use the homepage slider function) or else the wording will be unilingual. This is the reason I had to setup a Kadence slider in the visual editor and put it on the home page.

this is my code in my static homepage:

Hey,
There are several ways of doing this. One is to go to theme options > slider settings and select video beside “choose a home image slider.” From there just paste the embedded code in the box at the bottom.
If you want to keep your normal slider and have a video you can go into your actual home page and insert a Youtube shortcode to the visual editor. This is assuming you have your homepage set as a static page.

What I would like to do is add a video in the header image. For this header image, since I use bilingual setup, I have 2 home page, 1 in french the other in english. Due to the fact that the home page them options are not multilingual, I had to do the header in a Kadence slider. This is where (in the kadence slider) that I would like to add the video on the right hand side.

For an example, see this website: http://www.vueduciel.ca, you can see that they have a vimeo video in the header. I would like to do the same.

The Header Widget does not display after enabling the Child Theme. Switching back to Virtue Premium causes it to display again.

Child theme contains only the styles.css, functions.php with code to add icon fonts and the front_page.php with a minor change to use the Layer Slider.

What is required in a child them?

Sorry Markus,
It’s not part of the theme options. The portfolio post are designed to be fullwidth. If you wish to override you need to use a child theme, add a custom function in your child theme functions.php file like this:

function kad_sidebar_on_portfolio_page($sidebar) {
  if (is_singular('portfolio')) {
    return true;
  }
  return $sidebar;
}
add_filter('kadence_display_sidebar', 'kad_sidebar_on_portfolio_page');

I am using WooCommerce German Market which adds legally necessary wordings to the shop pages (Actually any german webshop without an own legal department needs it – Otherwise, one can easily get sued by any German lawyer, you can read more about this on *Login to see link

At my shop page at *Login to see link (you should still have the htaccess credentials) I have a product that comes with two variations (250g and 500g). When selecting one of the two variations, then there is an ajax call to admin-ajax.php with the parameters
action update_variation
variation_id 894

The response for this ajax call needs to be inserted and shown (german law is strict about this). The response is:

I searched through the source code and saw that the Virtue theme does add wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/assets/js/add-to-cart-variation-radio.js and wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/assets/js/add-to-cart-variation.js – and thereby possibly overwriting the standard wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/assets/js/frontend/add-to-cart-variation.js? That is something the other working themes don’t do. Maybe this is why the legal wording from the Ajax response does not get included.

We want to go live with our shop by next week, and this is really a show stopper currently…

I’m very happy to use this new theme, it has a plenty of individual settings.
I had the needs to have the same Header Background all along the site including the home page and after some suggestions from Ben and my trials I found out that you can use this settings to get the same header background also on home page

Home Page Slider Options
Choose a Home Image Slider > Page Title
Home Page Title Padding Top > 40
Home Page Title Padding Bottom > 40

I wish it can be useful to someone.

hi Ben,

Thanks much for providing the fixes. Please see my responses in line.

1. I’ll play around with the percentages and let you know if there is anyway> I’m fine even if the search box width is lesser.
2. The text color in the search box in the TopBar still remains white in color giving an impression nothing is being typed.
3. Your solution worked, but now “Select a Category” is showing as one of the categories.
4. Your solution works fine.
5. I’ll play around with the menu options. But even if I hover mouse over menu items not covered by topbar’s Blue background, I cannot see the blue hover. Same issue with TopBar menu items listed under the main menu item which gets highlighted just fine.
6. Across the page, but if we had options to adjust the width, that would be awesome.
7. Duh! Didn’t realize. My bad.
8. Yep, the carousal vertical rectangle and the arrow, I wished to let people know about the scroll option by making both the vertical rectangle and arrow persistent at all times, not just when a user hovers.
9. Blue is back 🙂

I entered to see the phpmyadmin the size is 1.9 MB
Started to had troubles when I did page builder and once finished , updated and refreshing the site. Once done it started to had problems with that message error there .

So have I uninistall the theme and reinstall and no reinstall revolution slider? anything else? I can’t delete theme into admin becauase i can’t access it due error message

Wp SuperCache showed “0” cached pages. Theme, WP, and plugins were up to date. Deactivated all plugins and was met with:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function putRevSlider() in /home/nbitat5/public_html/TheRUNiversity.com/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/lib/custom.php on line 15

Ideas? Was considering removing custom css and redoing.

@Ben After updating woocommerce 2.2.2 the theme templates are showing out of date. Also Product shop Pages and product category pages were blank.
I have restored the back up of the site and it is working perfectly.

You should install w3 total cache, and enable page caching.
I think that would make a big difference for you.
