In reply to: Align Slider with Sidebar?
Thanks. Hm. I think I’ll just go with the Revolution Slider and use a widget. Seems like it will give me a bit more flexibility and I’ll just train the blogger on it.
Now, hopefully one last question: I have my page width set to max 940 px. Is there a quick shortcode or custom CSS to make the sidebar take up a smaller percentage of the page? I’d love for it to be about 790/150 or so.
Thanks!
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Align Slider with Sidebar?
Hi, Ben. Me again. I’d love to top align the sidebar with the Flex Slider. I realize this isn’t a built-in option. But, if I use Page Builder, I don’t seen an option for adding the Flex Slider into a widget. Here’s what I’m trying to accomplish: *Login to see link

It would be great if I could use a short code. Or do you have any suggestions for making this work with the flex slider and page builder? I’m setting it up for someone who needs to be able to update the slider easily, and I fear that Revolution Slider will be a bit too complicated.
Thanks!

September 2, 2014 at 11:25 am #16392It’s the full version, you can see updating instructions here: https://www.kadencewp.com/updating-revolution-slider-for-virtue-premium/
and you can download exports to import into the revolution slider here: http://themepunch.com/revolution/example-downloads
Docs are here: http://themepunch.com/codecanyon/revolution_wp/documentation/
To be clear, the theme comes with the revolution slider but only one site license, you can purchase more directly from the developer. See the terms page: https://www.kadencewp.com/terms-and-license/

In forum: Virtue ThemeSeptember 2, 2014 at 11:10 am #16388Hey,
No to both unfortunately, pagebuilder isn’t designed to work with woocommerce, can’t just be placed anywhere there are a lot of hooks that have to run for it to work. Those don’t run in a custom tab or in the woocommerce tab it’s not designed for it. This has been ask as a feature request from the developers but it’s not something they are doing at the moment. Your best option is to use the column shortcodes if you want a 2 or 3 column layout with whatever. Just click “virtue shortcodes”.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello.
I’m using the Virtue Theme with woocommerce.
I have 2 questions:
1.
Isn’t it possible to use the page-builder plugin on the Virtue custom tabs?2. At the product description, I was able to use the page-builder plugin. However, my text wont show up on the website, in the description tap.
You can see it here:

If you are redirected to the english language, pleace change language to “Dansk”. Then scroll down to the tabs and click the one called description. It should be empty except for a headline saying: Produktbeskrivelse.
But it isn’t empty! If I check the DOM I can see that my content gets an element style of display none, but I have no idea why?
Why isn’t my text displayed?
Is page-builder and thwwse tabs simplt just not compatible?September 2, 2014 at 2:23 am #16365Hello,
I have a few questions regarding the design of my site.
First off, is it possible to have everything on wide layout, but have posts in the boxed layout (doesn’t matter if the blog page, where posts show up, is boxed or narrow).
Second, how do I create a divider between the sidebar and blog posts (we have the sidebar activated only there). With the divider I mean just a vertical line between those two. I once colored the sidebar by adding some custom css, but the icons of recent posts and comments where half on the colored sidebar and half on the white content background, thus making it look bad. But i couldn’t figure out how to add a simple vertical line
And my last question is, how can i achieve in the primary menu, dividers like in the citrus.css and better hover options similar to sky.css, when compared to the default stylesheet. Now i have these 3 stylesheets on my computer, but it’s quite a lot of text to go through for the untrained. Maybe you can suggest something how to adjust the primary menu to my liking.
This is our site, which is still WIP: *Login to see link
The site is in polish (but we’re not completetly done with the theme translation (the default polish one is quite bad^^)), so if you want me to change it back to english, just let me know. Thanks for your help
MargaretIn forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: product alignment
Hi..
I have been slowly getting my site up and running with pro version but have come across one theme related problem I can’t work out how to fix. Or probably more likely what I did to mess it up in the first place 🙂
my site punctilio.co.uk
all the products / posts are out of alignment any ideas how to fix? it is most noticeable on the archive pages like the sold products page from ‘shop’ drop down menu for instance. but also like that on homepage when a few products are on there.
thanks for you help 😉

September 1, 2014 at 5:34 pm #16352ok I got on,
So the issue is your site isn’t loading the footer and all the footer scripts, which means all the javascript.
That is strange, anychance you edited a file? or are using a plugin that would trigger at the end of a page. Because from the page source it looks like the footer template was just deleted.
The reason for the hidden products is javascript runs to reveal the products when you have “animate in” turned on in the theme options > misc settings.
BenIn forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: "Lost Your Password" link
Hi,
I’m not sure if this is a Kadence or a Woo commerce issue but I created an account page for shoppers and I was just notified that the “lost your password” link doesn’t do anything, but refreshes the page. Is there something I’ve missed in setting up of this page?

September 1, 2014 at 1:35 pm #16343Ok I see your using the home page as your latest post page, I thought you were using the latest posts module in the theme options > home layout.
Just use this:
.entry-content a { color: #555555; }Ben

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Custom Post Fields
Good Day,
I am planning on duplicating a page on our previous website that contained abstracts for numerous (>500) scientific articles with links to the PubMed citations for those articles. I thought that a simple way to do this was to create a blog page that displays posts of a specific category. My only hurdle is that I need the article abstracts to display in date order BUT I may need to enter them in a more random order. I thought I could create a custom post field maybe called “article date” and then enter that data using a consistent format like yyyy/mm. Is there a way to make the blog page sort the posts using my custom field? Here is a quick link to what I am trying to do, but the oder of these articles is the order I entered them rather that the order that I want.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: mistake in translation
Hi Ben,
I use your template in German.
In German the word “Author” is without “h” (Autor). On the page “Autoren Archiv” there is this mistake (look at this screenshot *Login to see link Can I change this word?Thank you!
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi first of all I am new to word press. I would like to change the font colour for “read more” on the front page post of a site I am doing – I chose the excerpt tag because I want a teaser – currently it is white and is unreadable. How do I accomplish this?
And is there any tutorials I can look at for customizing the virtue premium theme in general?
Thanks!
