You can use the custom carousel which gives you the option for an image title text and a link. You can make the link the category page for the posts you want to show.

How would I get the header to be transparent white all the time…not just after I scroll down. I would like to move the Rev Slider to the top of the page and have the sticky header overlay it. I want the sticky header to be transparent white (just like when you scroll)…not completely transparent. My website is http://www.inpursuitofpar.com

Got it to work now. It would not work with my previous pages so I deleted them and created a new page and it let me set it to a static page in reading settings.

The tutorial shows a way to select a static page in Reading settings. This selection does not exist in my Premium and basic themes. I selected static page in theme customize and set it to static page but nothing changed on my Home page below

Hi,

I dont know if im supposed to start a new post or not.
Its got to do with the solution you gave me before about creating carousel of blog posts
by using the virtue: carousel widget in home widget area. Very great bit of support that one,
helped me heaps. What I would like to know now though..
Is there any way of selecting specific posts for the virtue carousel widget ?
I know I can add a categorie type of Post’s but Im trying to load a post from the 5 different categories of surfing lessons
(Groms,ladies,Kids,Randoms).
so when people view the home page they see several posts in the carousel but each will take them to a post
which is set for showing all of that categorie type.

Hi Ben,

Well thanks heaps mate, the site does operate a bit quicker now.

I might have to do more testing because if you do try to stretch the image when your in Lightbox
it still crashes, sometimes . I think its like you said a loading thing and I am on a shared host too, just a bigger plan for all my photos :).
I dont think people will be patient enough for the entire site to load once they in Lightbox.
The slideshow on the post pages is good anyway.
Can you please tell me how to turn the Lightbox Off for mobile browsers ?

Yes, but issue. You have the slider above the header. That is a full page slider and works differently. It doesn’t get replaced by the mobile slider. And I know understand your issue. You can’t do what your trying to do. The slider above the header gets put into the layout in a different way and doesn’t get replaced with a mobile slider. Not to mention that the slider settings for a full screen (full width, full height) Are mobile ready.

Hi Vera, you can do this on each post page. Click the Screen Options tab at the top and select Discussion then scroll down and select “Allow Comments.”

not looking at it right:

.flex-control-nav, .flex-direction-nav {
display:none;
}

fyi this will effect all your flexsliders. If you want to target a specific page, like a gallery page then you would have to use the page css class.

Hi!

Today I noticed that the home page-slider contains a similar error as the one with the portfolio carousel I posted last week.
When I turn my iPad from landscape to portrait and vice versa, the slider doesn’t always resizes correctly.
The problem only arises when turning the iPad, just before the sliding animation starts.
The homepage-slider than only looks correct by reloading the page.
I can reconstruct it also in Google Chrome on my laptop, by changing the window-size when the sliding animation starts.

Is this (incidental) error solvable? Or is this stuck with the fact that the browser cannot handle the animation and the changing window-size at the same time?

As a workaround I have decided to move the contact information to the topbar and I have changed the homepage settings to central logo, no widget. I am much happier with the results on both tablet and desktop.

You can add a slider like the Kadence slider or rev slider or cyclone slider, just have one image and those will be full width. Else you would have to edit the page template and remove a container div.

In the menus page, top right corner click “screen options” and make sure description has a check. Then add a description to each menu item.

I want to move the product description & the other tabs from the bottom of the page to be on the right, where the short description usually is (ideally formatted as an accordion rather than tabs). It would be great to be able to do it in the theme rather than with a plugin, but I spent a while looking around the php files and I’m afraid I couldn’t figure it out!
