In forum: Virtue Theme
Hi there,
I’m trying to use this *Login to see link along with Visual Composer Page builder in order to reformat the single product page. It works fine with the default wordpress themes but with Virtue all of the existing theme formatting and styles seem to disappear from the page, so it just appears like this:
Any ideas why this might be happening?
Thanks,
Lewis

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Portfolio Full home page cropping
August 13, 2014 at 10:47 am #15111Well to explain the home page doesn’t use the page template of your static page. It doesn’t work like that, it’s built on modules from the home layout options in the theme options. And it will use the content added in the home page if you set the “page content” as enabled.
Currently the home layout settings have a “portfolio full” section but it’s not built with the masonry option. You would have to edit virtue_premium/templates/home/portfolio-full.php
add this to line 22:
<?php $slideheight = null;?>I’ll look into add this as an option in the next update.

In forum: Virtue ThemeI’ve just installed this theme. Whilst I must say, it looks very impressive, my website is now so slow it’s unusable 🙁
Here’s the data link
21 seconds to first byte!?
I contacted my host. (I have 3 other websites on the same host (not on Virtue) and they load within 2.5 seconds)
They say it’s an XML problem.
I’ve deactivated all my plugins and that doesn’t help at all.
Any thoughts? In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Portfolio is not showing images
Ok, so i figured it out. The picture on the Portfolio Item page must be in “Featured Image” and NOT in the content area. The description and anything else you want to add will be in the content area. The “Featured Image” is the image the Portfolio Page pulls and adds to the grid with all the other FEATURED Images. Sweet.
Also, if you keep adding and changing pages, make sure to change your page ID number link, as that sometimes gets fuzzled up.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Staff page
August 13, 2014 at 10:13 am #15104You can add a dropdown and create different staff pages with different categories. Each staff page has the option to limit what’s displayed by category. I’m not sure what your asking?

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Moving Revolution Slider
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi:
shop page How to set the number of products per page appears
Such as
ex:12
4X3 = 12
4X4 = 16please help, thank yuo:)
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Moving Revolution Slider
I have the revolution slider directly under my menu, which is where it populates based on using the slider settings under theme options. Is it possible to add a line of copy between the main menu and the slider here: *Login to see link
I can place the copy there when I remove the slider option under theme options and just manually add to page builder, but then I can’t get the slider to go full-width.
So I guess I’m asking if there’s a way to move the slider down through theme options, or a way to get the page builder widget to go full-width.
Thanks!
JeffIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi, I am trying to create a home page with a full portfolio of all of my work. My problem is that I want all of the images to NOT BE CROPPED to equal height.
I have “crop images to equal height” checked off as “NO” in my home page settings. All of my other portfolios are working correctly (print work, presentations, web), meaning they are not cropping my images to equal height. It seems to be only when I set the portfolio page to be a static home page that it starts cropping my images.
My temporary url:
http://69.195.124.240/~langecsc/Also, is there a way to change the way the thumbnails are cropped if I can’t make the home page gallery stop cropping my images.
I really LOVE this theme and am using the premium version.
Please let me know if you can help me with this issue.
Thank You!
JenIn forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
I am setting up my website and wish to have different portfolios. I used your tutorial on how to accomplish this. I created Portfolio items, then created a Portfolio page using the “Portfolio Grid” template.
The problem is, when I update all of this, I can see the page, but there aren’t any portfolio pictures on it.
What could I be missing, I think I have tried every option there….
Thanks,
L
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Bulleted list within an info box widget
Hey, so as far as I know the only way to do this would be go into the widget folder and add this in. You can however use a text widget. For a bulleted list item you would want something like this:
<ul> <li>Coffee</li> <li>Milk</li> </ul><br>is for page breaks. Also, if you’re still wanting the icon like the info box has you can add it through a shortcode. It will look something like this:
[icon icon=icon-home size=50px color=#fff]
Here’s a list of the free versions icons: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue/icons/
Hope this helps!
HannahIn forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Staff page
Hi Ben,
I have added cateogries to our staf, but these are not displayed in the staff page.
I think I should be able to add links in the header of the page to sort the staf categories.
please advise.

August 12, 2014 at 11:34 pm #15061You don’t need to re-upload images if they are in your media library.
Having all different categories make sense to me I always promote that you want people to find the information they are looking for in the least amount of clicks.
You can set up a drop down and have the three main categories as options then on the page only show the portfolio posts in that category.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Portfolio Not Playing Nice
Hey there! I have been trying to figure out why my photos aren’t being added to my site at ccs.tech2call.net/our-work. I have made sure to completely start over and add NEW and not use any previously uploaded photos, my question to that is “Does that mean I have to reupload the same picture(s) to the server or can I use the ones from the Media Library?”
Anyways, I am trying to setup at least 3 categories on here. Commercial & Residential Installation, Construction: Aerial & Underground, MDU Construction & Installation. I then want to have it to where after you click on one that it would then have the pictures that correlate with that category. Heck, it’d be even sweeter if there was somehow I could be able to sort them again, for instance…clicking on Commercial & Residential Installation would take you to that webpage but you would be able to sort by either Residential or Commercial, or having Construction: be able to sort by Aerial or Underground and lastly MDU sorted by Construction & Installation pictures. I am not sure how I could go about doing this, but I just thought that’d be a much nicer way for those who navigate to this webpage to be able to look at exactly what they want without having to sift through pictures. Now that I think about it, I guess I COULD have these all split up into different categories, though it might look a bit cumbersome by doing that. What do YOU think person who is assisting in something that they are more knowledgeable than I?! 🙂
Thanks again,

August 12, 2014 at 3:55 pm #15040The icon menu has to be translated in the “string” translation settings of the polylang plugin. Else you can use the icon shortcodes in the page content and not use the theme options. That way your page content can be translated.
What widgets are you trying to translate. You can translate titles in the polyland strings also.
