I have two questions would appreciate help…
1: My Portfolio Grid doesn’t quite align. *Login to see link for screenshot. Can’t show you website as not live yet and have maintenance mode on.
2: If I wanted to display the Portfolio Grid as the home page would I be best to set the WordPress home page to the Portfolio page or make a Home Page of Portfolio Grid type?
Cheers

June 20, 2014 at 12:02 pm #11204For the Home page you have the “Home page Layout Builder”. I would like to have another one for the mobile theme. Why ? Because mobile access must be more useful with specific widget, specific slider,(like now), specific bottom and menu.
For example if you have a top menu with 4 or 5 items on the desktop version, maybe it is a good idea to have only one menu for the mobile version.
In this case, there is a really big difference beetween the free and the premium version.

Maybe for futur version, a réal différence beetween desktop landing and mobile landing page will be a good idea for the premium version. I’ll pay for that.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: 2 separate portfolios?
June 20, 2014 at 10:48 am #11198The theme only filters portfolio items so if you want to have a filter on the photo gallery page it would have to be a portfolio grid page where you added portfolio posts for each photo. This seems like a lot of work to allow filtering? If you have a lot of photos you could create portfolio posts that are galleries then when someone clicked on the photography and then selected nature it would show the nature gallery and no further filtration would be needed?

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Blog Post Image Size
Hi Ben,
I am good with the way the images are coming up on the Home page blog snippets, and on the blog summary page, but when they appear on the actual blog post page, they appear at full size or the size they should when clicked and viewed through the lightbox. Is there a way (through CSS or a setting I am missing) to reduce or control the size of the blog post photos?
Thanks!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: 2 separate portfolios?
dear Ben
Thankyou very much for your reply.
I have now created parent portfolio types (Photography ” and “Art”) Here is the first Art portfolio which groups many of my art portfolios together. http://www.studiobricolaged.co.uk/TestStudioB/portfolio/
but on the Photography page, I just want individual photos filterable. (rather than groups of photos or portfolios to be sortable, as in the Art page)
Do I then create portfolios for the photography page but each has only one photo in it? Or do I need to create groups of photos within portfolios, to make it work the same way as the Art one?
I hope thats clear.
THanks!!!In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Portfolio Type on same page
June 20, 2014 at 5:57 am #11187How can I limit Portfolio Post to a particular Portfolio type? I want only certain type of portfolio to appear on certain pages.
In forum: Virtue ThemeJune 20, 2014 at 12:27 am #11181Hey it looks like your using the theme version 2.1.6
The latest is 2.4.2 which you can download from the my-account page: https://www.kadencewp.com/my-account/Here are the steps to updating: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#premium_update
The reason I bring it up is the virtue image widget has been redone in the recent versions and now has options for a link.
also once you are using a version higher then 2.2.0 you are notified of all updates in the wordpress admin.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Woocommerce outdated files
Hello-
I’m hoping you can help. My status says “Your theme has bundled outdated copies of Woocommerce template files” it did not seem to cause a problem before but now I added a variable product and it is not getting loaded to cart and I may be missing some cart account pages?
It says I have everything updated but maybe I need to do another step??
Wordpress 3.9.1
Virtue Premium 2.0.2
Woocommerce 2.1.11I’m not a super programmer so basic terms help.
Thanks much
PatriciaIn forum: Virtue ThemeJune 19, 2014 at 12:13 pm #11155The page content is set to show at the top, I didn’t realized you wanted it at the bottom. For what your wanting you either need to create a custom page template. or use a child theme and edit the blog page template.

June 19, 2014 at 12:00 pm #11150In the wordpress settings > reading. Make sure you have not selected a “post page” because that would override the page template settings.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Custom Sidebars
Hi,
I’ve tried creating a custom sidebar in the “misc settings” of the premium theme. It works well on every page except for my “Blog” page. I’ve set the page template to blog, and set “display sidebar” to yes, and Selected my custom sidebar from the drop-down below that.
Every other page that I’ve set that sidebar to appear on works without a hitch but for some reason it refuses to appear on the blog page.
Any ideas?

In forum: Virtue ThemeJune 19, 2014 at 11:28 am #11143Ok so change the posts page to “select” meaning you don’t have a page selected to be your post page.
That will fix your issue.
Whats happening is that option is overriding the options in the page template blog. So with this theme if you want the blog page template settings to take effect you have to leave that off.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue Themethanks Ben, and sorry I can’t post a link as I don’t have hosting just yet. I don’t understand what you mean in point 1. I want my homepage to be a static page and my blog landing page to show my latest posts so I’m not sure what to select there. I’ll look into the other points now thanks
In forum: Virtue ThemeJune 19, 2014 at 10:47 am #11131Hey if possible always post a link.
1. In the wordpress settings > reading. make sure if you’ve selected a static page to be your home page that you leave the “latest post” as select and not your blog page.
2. Same issue as above.
3. You mean on the individual post pages? You can turn off comments in the post settings.. http://vickyteinaki.com/blog/how-to-turn-off-comments-in-wordpress/
4. Copyright notice settings shouldn’t have to do with page builder? Need a link.
