That page is using a portfolio grid template. Which is causing your issues. Just switch the template to fullwidth.

Well if you set your home page as a static page in the wordpress settings > reading. Then the link to the page “home” would be the home page. else if you want to leave the wordpress settings then add a custom link with the url to your site and title it “home”. Then remove the one that is in your menu.

You should have only gotten two blog pages but in the menu it would look like three because one was a parent link.

The blog full shows all of the post, where the blog summary only shows a excerpt. To have an image with that excerpt you have to set the posts summary options either the default in the theme options or for the individual post in the post option:

Each post would need a feature image.

Firstly, I’m getting on pretty well with this theme and just wanted to say a big thank you! This has opened up wordpress for me having spent over a year avoiding it because I just couldn’t find a theme that didn’t require me to do lots of coding edits.

My issues now are :-
1. my blog landing page (where posts are listed) won’t show full width but has a gap down right hand side
2. this page also won’t show other page builder widgets
3. I can’t find how to turn off the ‘leave a comment’ option under blog posts
4. the copyright notice is way beneath the last item on the page despite adjusting the settings -> page builder

thought I may as well give you the full list!

Yes you can do this, you just need to create two main types. Like photography and art then have child types inside those two.

In the portfolio gird page settings make sure to select one of the two types in the “portfolio work types” metabox.

The image size depends on where you are going to show, and how high and wide you want it to show. For a slider that covers the width of the page 1170px is great. For one that covers the width of the screen 1800px is great.

72dpi is correct.

Can you take a look at the following page. *Login to see link , I have two items showing up at the bottom of the page that I can’t seem to how to remove. if you you look at the bottom right of page you will see the word “all”, and if you hover over the space below the bottom left photo you will see a link that says cerakote projects. These showed up after I installed the Child theme. Can’t find how to remove them. Also, can you give your email. I need to send you something kind of important.

Ok so basically you want it on the left just for the shop page… the terms page you can turn off by using the fullwidth page template.

so add this:

@media (min-width: 992px) {
body.post-type-archive-product .main {float:right;}

Hey,
The icons are not images but a icon font, this allows for them to be any size and color and they maintain a vector format so they look good all retina screens. They are called into the page with a css class so if you wanted to add icons you could if you added an icon font, the stylesheet to power it and then the specific font class.

If create an icon font you want to make sure your classes start with a prefix like “my-icon-home” for example.

If you want to use images then you would need to code out the box and use a <img> tag.

Ok if you are using the isotope filter then this is normal. The filter doesn’t re-query the site and ask for all products in a certain category. It only reveals and hides what is already on the page. So if your shop has say 50 products and requires two pages then the filter isn’t a good thing to use. It’s only designed to sort that page.

For ajax filtering which would re-query the site you have to use a plugin:

When I click on my logo it leads to the correct home page (the real one one I do want) But when I click on the Home link which is in the Primary menu, it leads to a totally different home page (which was probably leftover from the demo content I imported)
.. How do I get them both to link to the real homepage and delete the demo one?
I can’t work out how to get the logo-link homepage into the Appearance-Menus- Primary Menu bar system.

Sorry me again –

It’s just that when I used the demo page as my template, the 2nd portfolio page automatically comes up with the same images as the first, so even if I was able to define which Portfolio Types are to be included on this page, there is always the “All” filter which will show the art AND the photography portfolios when I only want to show one or the other…

I can’t find any guidance for a novice like me on comparing the different sliders? Revoutions, cyclones, cadences, What does all this mean, what is the difference?

I have tried to understand using the demo site but it’s too time-consuming and the demos don’t always tell us what something us and how it’s constructed. (Here is an idea for you – although your instructions are far better than any other themes I’ve abandoned, no theme designer does the obvious thing and builds the demo theme with an inbuilt description on each page of what elements the page is constructed with!!)

Also, how do I know what size images to upload for site? What resolution (72dpi I presume?) but what number of pixels for the best fit to the images you have on your demo site?

I have a problem with 7 products of a same sub category. 2 are shown on a first page and to see the 5 others, i have to click on the bottom arrow. I want them to be shown in one page because I set the number of shown product to 40. I also have this problem with others products but for some of them it works. Can You help me please ? Thanks

Hello,

I searched the forum and Google but could not find a specific solution to my issue. I am probably missing something simple as I am still new with CSS and HTML. Here is my homepage: *Login to see link

I am having an issue with coloring the Call to Action Widget Button or a custom button as desired. Either approach seems to be inheriting some styling that is taking over and giving me Blue coloring which I don’t want. For example on the button I want white text, On the Call to Action I would want an Orange Button and white text, with a gray hover.

After digging around in Firefox element inspection on the call to action example I can see that the button background color at least possibly stems from this piece: “#place_order, .checkout-button, input.button[type=”submit”], .order-actions .button, .productnav a:hover { background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% #2D5C88;”

Do I need to use custom CSS to override whatever default is coming through and giving me the blue coloring? (and if so can you suggest where to start or what pieces to start) or can any of this be fixed from the Theme Options Menu?

How to give image/text only on the side bar or behind the content(including sidebar)?
I can change the color using advanced styling, but I want to give some images(texture), not just color change.

When uploading an image on body background, it shows up on both header and below the footer as well(why does footer goes up, not stick with the bottom? I haven’t added anything in the page yet. Is that why?).
