Hey,
Happy Friday!

1. How are you adding the icon list widget? Are you using a plugin that is outputting that?

2. What size image are you uploading? Be sure that you are uploading an image that is larger than the container. Then you can use the following css to stretch the container width:

.site-header-item.site-header-focus-item {
    width: 100%;
}

3. After setting the sidebar layout from your edit page have you cleared your cache?

4. You can choose the default sidebar for your pages, but then to adjust/remove this you need to do so page by page. Does that make sense?

5. This css will hide your home page title:

.home section.entry-hero.page-hero-section.entry-hero-layout-contained {
    display: none;
}

6. For the dropdown width, try adding this to your css:

@media (max-width: 1200px) {
.header-navigation .header-menu-container ul ul li a, .header-navigation .header-menu-container ul ul {
    width: 200px;
}
.header-navigation ul ul ul {
    right: 100% !important;
    left: auto;
}
}

7. You can customize this from Customize > Blog Posts > Archive Layout.

I still have some of the issues that were not addressed in my previous message.

I am working on a staging copy of the website that I can publish once its ready and all problems are fixed, that’s why my current website looks the same.
I will send a link to staging copy where you can see all the listed problems.

I wasn’t able to fix the issue with icons in the footer, they don’t show up. I use icon list widget block. I will attach the screenshots.

The image that is now in the upper right hand corner of the header is very small (marked as a small red rectangle on the photo). I want to stretch it to the entire area from the logo to the right border (marked as a large red rectangle on a photo).

Sidebar:
I set the default option in customizing area with no sidebar, because I am planning to use no sidebar on some pages.
When I add a sidebar to some pages where I want to have it, it doesn’t show up. It shows up on blog posts, but not on the pages.

I tried to assign sidebar in the main settings, but then there is no option to not show it on some of the pages, you always have to choose some sidebar.

I still cannot find the option to remove Home Title on the home page. If I remove it in the page editor it removes the entire page title (H1 heading). Is there any css to remove the Home title from showing up on the home page (without removing H1 title from the page)?

Drop down menu goes beyond the screen on smaller monitors. Can I change it in some way other than making the menu thinner?

Is there a way to customize how the page with all blog posts appears? For example, not to show posts preview in columns and make larger images and abstracts.

Hi Hannah,
thanks for your answer.
I’ve just disabled the password protected URL, so now you should be able to login wordpress test site with user and password privided.
About Slider Revolution version, it’s 5.2.6.

By the way, have you read my last post about the sticky header?:

I’ve been able to do some more tests and I’ve found the issue is caused by the sticky header. When I disable it then everything works fine.
Can you please take a look at this issue?

I’ve noticed that everything works fine when sticky header is disabled and issue appears again when enabled. Based on a test I made, I think that the first widget that appears at the very beggining of the page never shows correctly with sticky bar enabled, because issue happens whether it is hero header or a slider revolution (both fullwidth).

Hi Ash,

Unfortunately, that is not possible currently. Pagination adds page links below and would load a different page upon clicking the page numbers while the filter uses javascript calls to show different posts based on the filter selected so combining the two on the block is quite complicated.

On the other hand, you could log this as a feature request on this page. Please note that requests can be added by the development team once it has enough votes and there is no ETA of when they’ll be available.

I see that you were in contact with my colleague Bonn via email and you confirmed you can edit pages on incognito browser windows. Have you tried purging website/server cache and clearing your browser cache to see if the issue will be gone on normal browser windows?

Hey,
Your issue is caused by your plugin Table of Contents Plus.

It’s not something we can “fix” on our end, nothing is broken on our end that plugin is just forcing a “smooth” scroll to anchor on every link in your pages

In the plugin’s settings, there is an option to disable this. “Enable smooth scroll effect” I’ve disabled so you can see things working.

Just paste that into your static homepage or into a text widget within the home widget area.

Hi!

​I have updated my site from WordPress 5.5.3 to 5.6.2 and found some problems with some parts of the pages that are not showing fullwidth as before. Specifically, hero headers and Slider Revolution. These problems only happen on Chrome and Edge, Firefox is ok.

I have set up a test site for you to see the problems and you can login if you need it in order to investigate the issue. I left production site without updating, I mean, it still runs WordPress 5.5.3. Test site is updated to WordPress 5.6.2. Also seen some errors in browser console for the test site that are not there for production site.

Have tested these widgets (hero headers and Slider Revolution) with same configuration on another theme (your Pinnacle free theme) and work fine so I thought it could be some kind of bug with Virtue Premium theme, and that’s why I’m contacting you.

I also deduced the problems show up in the moment wordpress version is updated. I’ve updated theme and plugins before updating wordpress version and everything was fine. Only when I updated wordpress version, problems appeared.

I attach some screenshots where you can see same pages on test and production sites, so you can see the behaviour differences between WordPress versions.

I’ll post a private message with link, user and password for you test the issue.

when you take a look at one of the pages I would like to know how do you create the navigational system *Login to see link and page in Kadence and Gutenberg.

I would like to create something similar to credit.com please point me in the right direction I looked at the websites the template sites and I see what’s there. but I am looking for something a little bit more along these lines.

nothing extravagant just something basic that you can create millions of different variations from.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Upon checking your web page, I saw that you assigned a top padding of 387px that is why on mobile views, the subtitle goes outside the page header section and cannot be seen as there is also a style that sets a max-height of 210px for the page header. There is no built-in option to adjust the top padding on mobile views but you can add this custom CSS in Theme Options > Additional CSS to fix this:

@media screen and (max-width: 992px) {
    .page-header {
       padding-top: 30px!important;
    }
}

Ah ok, thanks for the clarification.

But actually that is exactly what I want: I would like this Post Grid as a list of blog posts on my homepage WITH pagination WITH Display Filter.

Why is there a restriction that only grid without pagination can have the Display Filter? Is there a way to achieve what I want as above (grid with pagination with display filter)?

Hello Milosz,

The Kadence theme recently released a new update that includes a fix of some styles not being applied on the page if the header is disabled. It is possible that this fix will also be effective on the issue you’re currently having as I cannot replicate it on my test website currently.

Kindly update to the latest Kadence theme version(1.0.15) and purge any website/server caching afterward to see if the issue will be fixed.
