Sorry, I made a change in CSS that caused this error:

.kb-header-placeholder-wrapper {
height: auto!important;
}

But I put this style because when you scroll down and up to top of the page its height changes dynamically. But never has the same value when you go to top! Sometimes is 104px, 108px, 98px, etc. And it makes divs change position.

Hi, I use Kadence theme pro and Kadence blocks Pro. I usually customize header with Theme settings, but I need a mega menu so I tried Kadence blocks.

With header created I select Sticky header for main row and shrink. When I load a page and scroll down the header changes position to fixed, so div inner-wrap moves up to the top. The theme doesn’t do it like this, it uses sticky, so there is no move.

Using position fixed is an old way of layout. Do you have a solution for this?

We’d like to provide you guidance on this.

How about using the Block Defaults feature?

Kadence blocks has a built-in Block Defaults setting. Basically, you can make all the changes on the block then save it as default. What happens is the next time you use this block (on any page/post), then the block will already have saved settings on them.

Please note that the Block Defaults setting doesn’t get applied to all block of the same type (e.g. Info Box) that are already added as content. It will only get applied to new blocks (e.g. Icon List) that are added.

I’m here to help!

It seems you already have the “portfolio” slug in use and can no longer be used on a normal page.

Do you have a custom post type or another page that’s using “portfolio” slug/URL? If you do, you can change the portfolio page’s slug or URL by clicking the “quick edit” option in WP dashboard > Pages or by editing the page.

If the problem persists, I’d be happy to check the pages, just share the link here.

Having tried this with several table-type blocks–both from Kadence Blocks (Row Layout) and WP Core (Table, Columns, Row)–I need your help to control the appearance of multiple tables’ contents on page *Login to see link 2nd tab (Definite Articles):

Specifically, the issues are:
1. Table structures shouldn’t go off the page at right.
2. Tables shouldn’t have scroll bars. (Currently they don’t, but some of my experiments resulted in unnecessary scroll bars.)
3. Line spacing of should be far tighter.
4. In the right-most column of the page’s 3rd table (the one with the headings *Rule* and *Example*), punctuation is transposed and appears at the extreme right instead of the extreme left. Note, that column contains Hebrew text and the period was typed at the end of the sentence — but it appears at right. What’s interesting is that the table above this one displays the periods at the correct locations.
5. I had difficulty controlling column widths.
6. This last one’s optional: Is it easily possible to specify borders at the cellular level? Specifically, on the first table, I would like to eliminate the top and left borders of cell A1, as indicated in the attached image? [I did not receive confirmation that the image upload was successful; hopefully the question’s language is clear enough.]

After reading your post, I checked my site and I too was having problems with the ‘edit’ page today. It would only load once out of every 4 or 5 page refreshes. Most times the ‘loading’ icon would just stop spinning and leave me with a blank, white page.

This time instead of looking at it from the backend server settings, I decided to tinker with the browser settings and gave my site every permission imaginable. Still had issues.

Last ditch effort was putting my wp-admin and edit page in the ‘trusted sites’ list in my anti-virus program’s firewall. And voilà, it works! Loads every time and also the page itself loads much more quickly than it ever did before! I should have thought of that from the beginning.

Again, no idea if it will help you in your case but it might be worth a try?

I’m hoping this is possible. I have a page that I want to call “Portfolio” and have galleries of my work displayed.

I made a page called “Portfolio”, added some text, some gallery blocks and populated those blocks with my content. Also, I have a couple of items of my work created as “Projects”. The goal is to have the page named “Portfolio” display the intended text and galleries view, but when it’s published instead it shows the couple of projects that I created.

If I rename the page to something other than “Portfolio” (like “Collections”), the page displays as I wanted it to. The problem is that the word portfolio is so ingrained in the lexicon as the place to look at someone’s work that I’m hesitant to send a potential client or employer to my “Collections” page. I’d rather they go to my “Portfolio” page.

How can I have the page called “Portfolio” show the intended text/galleries and not the projects?

Thanks, but the fix isn’t a simple cut and paste as you describe, which should work but doesn’t.

After more testing figured out the problem and found a workaround.

When on a page in edit mode, after making a copy of a section or whatever, the cursor must be on a basic paragraph marker in the list view, (directly selected, not just hover), to make the “Paste” work. If the cursor is on a “Text (Adv)” marker, then the paste will NOT work.

In this particular site, whenever the action “add before/after” is used, the “Text (Adv)” marker is added. Therefore I have to change it to the basic paragraph marker. On other sites, the add action results in just the basic paragraph marker.

Have not experimented much further now that there is a working solution.

Kadence Blocks plugin version 3.5.0 just came out today and that solved both my ‘Customize’ and ‘Edit’ long load time issue while running PHP 8.3. Not sure if this will break your edit page again, but might be worth a test so you can stay up-to-date when new versions come out?

You can use this custom CSS to disable the sticky header on the homepage:

I have had this problem on GoDaddy, Bluehost and Gator, so its not the hosting. I have used php versions 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3. Same problem. So I dont think its the php version. I have everything set to the recommended specs. If I deactivate all plugins (and they are almost all Kadnece) and switch to a default theme everything is fine. I can switch back to the Kadence theme and its all fine. I can add other plugins and everything is fine. As soon as I install Kadence Blocks – the editing/customize function is gone (and just a blank screen when I try to add a new page).

UPDATE – FIXED!
I rolled back Kadence Blocks to 3.4.10 and the editing function is back again. The problem seems to be in Kadence Blocks version 3.4.11. I will just ignore that prompt to update until the folks at Kadence find and fix the problem. It was not anything to do with GoDaddy or the settings (at least not for me).

Update: This is happening on sites I have at Bluehost, Gator, and GoDaddy. I have deactivated all plugins and switched to a default theme, and it works fine. Switched to Kadence theme, all works fine. Installed and activated Kadence blocks…no more editing. I have tried all this on php versions 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3. As soon as I activate Kadence blocks I am unable to edit/customize any page. If I create a new page I just get a blank screen.

I would like to create a coming soon page but I don’t have the pro version. I bought a Kadence theme on HeartenMade and it’s only the free version of Kadence. I might be able to use a free plugin to activate the mode but I’m not sure if it’s compatible with Kadence.

All I really need is to have a repeating header background on the home page only and the rest of the pages would have a transparent or white background.
