I feel your pain with GoDaddy…and with Kadence not replying to your issue. It’s not like GoDaddy is a small, local webhost. And yeah, when a client is freaking out, you freak out.
Again, this won’t help you but it might help someone else. I found this thread because I searched “Kadence customize page long load time”. Anyway, so the PHP upgrade/downgrade ‘kind of’ worked for the Customize page load time. But then I hit “Edit” and opened a new can of worms. I was getting 80-90 second load times with any version of PHP. I was doing a tutorial on Starter Templates with ‘CliftonWP’ on YT (that guy is amazing BTW) and so I clicked ‘edit’ on the ‘Cleaning Service’ Starter Template home page and waited and waited and waited. Each time was 80-90 seconds. And I did that with every version of PHP and with editing the WPconfig file to make the memory limit 512M, then 1536M, then 2048M. All with no plugins except Kadence Blocks. No change in load times.
So 2.5hrs has passed at this point…lot’s of waiting and counting. I did a full restore of just the “Hello World” page with no plugins…so a clean install. Customizer still took 17 seconds to load. I clicked on “edit” on the Hello World post and that loaded in 11 seconds. 70 seconds faster than before. I then installed the ‘Cleaning Service’ Starter Template again. Clicking ‘edit’ on the Home Page once again took 80-90 seconds to load. The frame surrounding the page loaded in about 11 seconds so it wasn’t completely blank, but the WordPress ‘W’ in the upper left corner and the page itself took another 70 seconds to load, with the only activated plugin being Kadence Blocks.
So I can only assume it is the size of the page that impacts load times? I am trying to sort all of this out before I actually start my website when it would be too late to just go and use another editing tool. The load time is frustrating but I am still sold on Kadence…and also am 7hrs in on Clifton’s tutorial so I feel there is no going back. I previously used Astra and Elements 4-5 years ago but, not going back to that. And I can spot an Astra page from 10 miles away at this point.
Anyway, good luck with your client. I hope you find a solution.
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: global background on Kadence template
March 14, 2025 at 8:57 am #293307Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
Are you using a template from the hooked element to replace the page content? If so, the global settings should be respected unless you have applied a background in your template’s container block (e.g., Row Layout).
To have a better understanding of your current setup, can you please share here the link to the affected page(s)?
Thanks,
ChitoIn forum: Kadence BlocksMarch 14, 2025 at 7:01 am #293306About a month ago, when I first started using Kadence, I had this issue. On Hostinger I was getting long 45-50 second load times of the Customize page with PHP 8.2. Sometimes it would just be stuck on a white screen. I timed each load with different PHP versions. PHP 8.3 wouldn’t load at all, white screen. I changed the WP config limit to 1536M and maxed out all the server values under Hostinger’s PHP config page as well. Reverting to PHP 8.0 or PHP 7.4 got me down to 17-18 second load times. Still long, but something I could live with, and at least the page loaded.
Logged in today and got the 45-50 second load time again on PHP 8.0. So, I experimented and went back to PHP 7.4, same 45-50 second load time.
I just went to PHP 8.3 with all default values, and got back to 17-18 second load times. And now I am happy again.
Not sure if that helps with your GoDaddy situation but the PHP version was the key for me.
In forum: Kadence ThemeMarch 14, 2025 at 3:09 am #293303I can’t seem to change the background color on Kadence template pages, which looks to be white. I’ve set the global background color and can see the background color on new pages, but not on the template pages. Is there some setting in the template that I haven’t found that is overriding the global background setting?
In forum: Virtue ThemeI have a full width hero image (using a slider plugin) on my homepage and need it to go behind the header area. The only way I could figure it out was to add a 1px tall image sliced off the top of the hero image and use that as a repeating background for the header area. I can’t let you see it; it’s behind a coming soon plugin and can only be seen when logged into the admin. My question is, how can I have this image in the header of the homepage only and make all the other pages have just a white background? Is there a better way to accomplish this than the way I’m doing it?

March 13, 2025 at 1:30 pm #293299Hey there,
You can adjust the Primary Navigation in your Header by using the Customizer Settings.
-Go to the Customizer -> Header -> Primary Navigation Settings.
-Then click on the Design Tab to find the Navigation Colors.
Here is a GIF for reference. Additionally, we have a document related to customizing Navigation Colors in general that you can view here. You mentioned wanting to change the Author Name Color. Your last screenshot was of the Archive. Can you confirm if this is where you’d like to change the Author Name color?
-If so, you can change this from the Customizer -> Post/Pages Layout -> Archive Layout settings.
-You can go to the Design Tab and find the Post Meta Color settings.
These color settings control the Author Color. Here is a GIF of this process for reference. You can also click here to learn more about the Kadence Archive Layout Settings.I hope this helps. Please let us know if this works for you.

ArchitaIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Mobile Version Of Site?
March 13, 2025 at 3:47 am #293283Yes, you can serve a different home page for mobile using custom CSS, JavaScript, or a plugin like WP Mobile Detect. Alternatively, create a separate mobile-friendly page and use redirection plugins. For WooCommerce, you can use conditional shortcodes. for More details, checkout this site as it also has same functionality: https://ropeheromodi.com/

Thank you so much. That fixed my problem. However I have a different problem regarding the .single-post img, .post img, .entry-content img rule. There is now a white border around my logo in my header on my posts and around the logo in my hero on my pages. Can you help me create an exception to these two situations
March 12, 2025 at 11:21 am #293277I have long time used Virtue Pro without issues and now I trying Elementor Pro to redesign single product page templates.
I have faced frustrating issue with the add to cart quantity button. It works normally normally on Virtue Pro without Elementor Pro and it works normally with Elementor if I switch to default themes, so it seems like some conflict with Virtue and Elementor.
I have tried the basic Elementor add to cart widget and some alternative versions. The issue is similar on all widgets.
If there is more than one product in stock, the quantity box is missing the -symbol, only showing the +-symbol.
If the product is last in stock, it still shows broken box with +symbol, when expected behavious is that there is no quantity box for last in stock.
Any help around would be highly appreciated.
I have attached 4 screenshots. 2 screenshots from only Virtue and 2 with Elementor.

March 11, 2025 at 6:26 pm #293270I posted a similar message some time ago. My website constantly reports templates being obsolete, usually for WooCommerce. I’ve tried to convert to Kadence, but I can’t even figure out how to reconstruct my home page since the features aren’t included. I too would like to know what the longevity of this theme is.
In forum: Kadence BlocksMarch 11, 2025 at 10:08 am #293265Hey, is this possible to add the page title as a hidden field on a Kadence form?
In forum: Kadence BlocksIn reply to: Cards setup question
Hi there,
I understand you want to display posts from the “News” category on your homepage. Here’s how you can achieve that:
1. Assign your posts to the “News” category: Ensure the posts you would like to display on your homepage are categorized under “News.”
2. Add the Kadence Posts Block: Use the Kadence Posts Block on your homepage to display the posts. You can find detailed instructions here:
https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-blocks/posts-block/
3. Filter by the “News” category: In the Posts Block settings, filter the posts to only display those in the “News” category. Here is a demo screencast for your reference:

EzeIn forum: Kadence BlocksIn forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Sidebar not displaying for custom post archive
March 10, 2025 at 5:36 am #293253Great question! I’ve faced similar issues when working with custom post archives where the sidebar wouldn’t show properly. Sometimes, this happens if the template file for the archive doesn’t call get_sidebar() or if a specific sidebar isn’t registered for that post type. Also, checking theme settings and widget visibility conditions can help identify conflicts.
Interestingly, websites with custom layouts, like resort sites (e.g., http://www.arganalbidaaresort.com), often use tailored archive pages with specific sidebars for showcasing different types of content — so making sure the sidebar is linked correctly in the custom template is key.
Has anyone tried using hooks or conditional logic in Kadence to force sidebars on custom archives? Would love to hear other solutions!
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Page with accordion couldn’t be editable
March 10, 2025 at 3:52 am #293249If a page with an accordion couldn’t be edited, it’s probably due to restrictions in the website’s settings or a coding issue. This can be frustrating, especially when you need to make quick changes. It’s like checking “Texas Roadhouse Menu Prices” online and realizing the page won’t load – you just want the information, but something is blocking you. Fixing it might require tweaking permissions or adjusting the code for better accessibility! Source

In forum: Kadence BlocksTopic: Cards setup question
March 8, 2025 at 5:10 am #293236Hi guys, I hope I am posting this in the right place (if not, my apologies). I would like to add a ‘news’ section on my landing page (just some updates and such that are not blog post material). I initially tried to made a category ‘news’ (category like you would do for blog posts) but whenever I add a post loop section, it automatically displays my blog posts.
So anyway, I was looking around in the design library and I think that ‘cards’ (like ‘cards 55’) would work. However, I cannot find any tutorial on how it works and to set it up. I mean, things like where I add the stuff that I want displayed in the cards sections.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for this? Thank you!
Oh and if you have another way/block I can use to display news (it should hold an option to see an image, a small bit of text and then a ‘read more’ option), I am all for it.
In forum: Kadence BlocksHaving the same issue. Everything worked perfectly until I updated the theme today, now I get a blank screen when I try to edit a page. The url shows, but there is nothing to interact with on the page itself. Have cleared the cache and ensured that all php settings match the guidelines. did not help. Have also tried deactivating Pro and blocks, etc (systematically) – that didn’t do anything either.
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Can you have a hooked element on latest posts page?
That’s an interesting discussion on implementing a hooked element on the latest posts page! Ensuring dynamic engagement without affecting performance is key. Have you considered using conditional hooks to load specific elements only when needed? I explored a similar approach while optimizing content visibility on my platform: https://www.3pattiboss.online/. Would love to hear more insights on best practices!
