    Hi Ben,

I created a simple page on my site with an image inserted into text.

How do i make sure that my bulleted text is indented from the image

    (right now its too close)

The other question is about the blog grid page

    – How do i customize the look and feel of the blog post preview boxes (width, height, text colour, image inserting)

    #8646

    Hey,
    1. You can add css to make all the page titles disappear if you want, just put this in the theme options > advanced settings custom css box.

    .page-header {
    display:none;
    }

    2. Your caching issue is caused because you are running WP-Super-Cache
turn it off while you are working or you will have to clear it every time you save something.

Thanks very much, Ben, that did the trick. How would I remove the “title” from additional pages I create?

And one more thing: I am noticing when I make changes to the site, and click save, yet neither Chrome, Firefox or IE 8 register the changes, even after I click refresh. I’m trying to clear my browser cache each time but it sure is time consuming. I experienced this at home and also at work. I have never had this problem with other themes I’ve used, I don’t know that this is a theme issue, I’ve just never experienced it. Any suggestions?

    Thanks again

Hi, new guy here and I am SO excited to use this theme. Ok so I bought the premium version, I created a static Home page. If you look at my site you’ll see the word Home is displayed with a line on above and below the word. How do I remove those from this page? I’m not sure if I caused it or it happened by default.

Did I mention I am excited to be using this theme? I have other wordpress sites but I had yet to find the right theme for my photography blog and saw the most simple example and fell in love at first site (ha ha). Anyhow, cheers!

    Hey,
So if you set your latest post page (in wordpress settings > reading) it overrides the theme. You just need to set your latest posts page to select. Leave it blank.

ok i know how to change that size now my next question is how do i get my pages to run along the bottom of my header. If you look back on the link my about me page link is floating up in the middle of nowhere ?

    #8611

I have inserted all three codes and the widget completely disappeared from the page http://www.shop-my-closet.ca/product/wine-chocolate-satin-evening-gown-by-js-boutique/

I use the following plugins in addition to woo commerce:

    – product enquiry for woocommerce (right now its not showing, i need to update the license, but its supposed to be under the product short description, not not in the sidebar
    – woo commerce FAQ (its in the tabs)
    – Facebook share (its under product short description)

The only two items i have in the sidebar are Recently Viewed Products and “Schedule Item Pickup” button which i created myself using the Text widget

Ok So here is the link to laboratory-instruments: http://www.atscience.co.th/product-category/laboratory-instruments/
I see that the categories show but you don’t have any products showing since you are showing only sub categories. The filter only works on products. So How are you wanting that page to look? If you want it to show products so they can be filtered then you have to turn theme on, either in the product category settings or the woocommerce settings.

    Hi Ben,

    1. Yes, it doesn’t make sense. So I change to fullwidth template instead.
    2. here is the link: http://www.atscience.co.th/
    “laboratory-instruments” has sub-categories. But filter doesn’t work.

and Yes, I did turn on the filter for category pages (Show Category Filter on Category Pages=> ON)

    Many thanks

    1. Why are you using the portfolio grid template… with products? That doesn’t make sense.
    2. Any chance for a link? Would make it easier if I could see it.

In the theme options > shop settings. did you turn the filter on for category pages?

    Hi,

I have a simple question about filter feature for sub-categories page. I have category in 3 levels (main cate>sub cate1>sub cate2>products).
Basically, I want to have the product cateogries (
Then when I click on a category, it goes to sub-categories that display in grid system as well.
And then when I click on a sub-category, it goes to products in grid system.

    What I done so far.
    1. create a new page (calls Categories) and set template as Portfolio Grid.
Then I add the shortcode from Woocommerce to the page ([product_categories number=”12″ parent=”0″]).
This setting makes my page looks like this ->
    2. go to WooCommerce menu>Settings>Products>Default Category Display = Show subcategories
This setting makes me can click on a Main Catogory then it shows all Sub Categories in Grid system.
Then when I click a Sub Category, the products page is shown.

So the problem is the filter doesn’t work in the sub categoroies page. Could you guide how to fix it?

    I use theme premium 2.3.6

    Thanks
    Apple

    Can you post a link?
I haven’t used it before but if I can see the page I’ll be able to get an idea of what might be happening. Most likely there is a javascript conflict.

    Hey Ben,
I am trying to use the iGallery plugin with shortcode [igallery id=”905″] and it appears blank in my page. Do you know if there is something in the theme that would prevent it?

Are you using jetpack stats? It does this, adds a little smily at the end of your page. you can turn if off in the stats settings.

Is there a good solution for managing inventory in one place for the purchases made online and those made in physical stores?

I’ve set up a store on ChiaTaiwan.com and enabled inventory management via Woocommerce, however, I would like to know if there is a simple way for our physical store resellers to update the inventory we have listed on the website? I don’t mind creating a management page for admins to log sales but am not sure how easy this is to do or if there is an existing plugin.

Can you point me in the right direction?

I searched the general WP forums but could not find a solution.

    Cheers,
    T

    Hey,
    1. The image menu, you can see it here just below the slider: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-3/
You can set it up by adding images to the image menu options right below the home page layout.

    2. Sliders. The Revolution slider and Cyclone Slider refer to the two plugins included with premium. Those sliders are set up in the specific plugins page.
The flex slider is a single ratio slider. Meaning all the iamges will be the same size.
The carousel slider is a slider that allows for different ratios. It doesn’t crop your images to the same size.
The Image carousel is best described with an example: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/image-carousel-post/
The thumb slider is the flex slider with thumbnails
And the latest post slider is the flex slider but it pulls from your latest posts featured images.

    3. I certainly prefer sliders that have the same size images but there are times for sliders like the carousel slider where the ratio changes from slide to slide. Yes there is options and yes you can switch throughout the site.

    Hope that helps,
    Ben
