Hi Ben – hope you’re doing great today.
Ben, I don’t want to show the product tabs (e.g. description, reviews etc) so I have switched them off.
The issue I face is that I still have to scroll down in the product page and add the main product text into the “product short description” meta box.
I think this is the wrong way around (the custom post text should be the primary description text that displays) – but with the product tabs switched off – nothing shows from the main “post” text box.
I appreciate this may be a woocommerce issue – but your thoughts are appreciated.
Thank you

May 4, 2014 at 9:02 am #8416Umm, thats not how an update works, The theme update import is for version 1.7.3 or lower. Should say that on the page.
If you have version 2.2.0 or higher then You just update like you would any other theme. Click on the themes page, then click on the theme, then click update.
If you have a version lower you have to follow these steps: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#premium_updateIs that more clear? Sorry.

May 4, 2014 at 8:59 am #8415Hmm when I view the page the code doesn’t show that an icon is saved into the css class of the menu. Can you try a different Icon and see if it works?
you can change the size and color with this css:
.sf-menu li a i { font-size: 28px; color:#fff; }Ben

May 3, 2014 at 10:40 pm #8397Hey Michael,
Sorry to hear you having trouble. You can set up the home page like style one in the theme options > home layout.Just have to move featured products, icon menu and latest blog posts into the enabled section. You can also use the theme options to set your home page slider.
If you want to just get some mock content (posts, products and pages) to get you started you can use the theme demo content found here:
https://www.kadencewp.com/install-virtue-premium-with-demo-content/Virtue gives you a lot of options so you can even use the page builder to create layouts here is tutorial about that: https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder-virtue-premium/
If your wondering about how the home page works specifically you can view info here: https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue/
If you have further questions, or just can’t seem to get started please let me know I would be happy to login to your site and add some mock content.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Spacing in Shop Page
May 3, 2014 at 10:14 pm #8394Sorry wasn’t very clear, I was only saying that products will appear as high as they can on the page, they don’t start new rows.
For example, if you have 5 products and you want 4 columns in the first, second and third row your products are 300px high and on the fourth row your product is 200px high the 5th product will show below the four others but it will show in the fourth column spot not the first. Because it’s higher on the page.

May 3, 2014 at 10:10 pm #83931. Can’t move the tabs without a child theme and some editing. If you are wanting to go that route let me know and let me know what you know for code. As for a easy way to show content next to the Image thats all done with the short description.
2. You can change the tab title in the theme options > language settings.
3. You can change the font by adjusting the h1 tag in the theme options > typography setting. This will effect all your page titles though so if you just want to effect the product title use this css:
div.product .product_title { font-size: 20px; }Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Site Style One
I have spent a couple of hours today, and a couple of hours on a separate dau truing to find and then use “site style one” for my home page. Where is it so that I can use that format for my home page?
And, why would it not be a choice under “customize.” “theme options” and/or “theme options” “main setting” or home layout…or a choice in the page building section page attributes? I was hoping I had found a theme that made sense…I doubt that know.
I wish to use or start with and edit the sample pages you advertise…is this going to be a problem?
Thank you.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben,
how do i do the following:
1) Customize the background and font colour for the price only (inside each product box)
2) Include at least three product attributes into the product box (and each to be different font colour/font size)Is it possible to use icons for that? If i use icons do they have an ALT text option (if people don’t know the meaning of an icon they would place a mouse furor on it and it would show the meaning of an icon)
See this page *Login to see link when you put a mouse over i icon a text with explanation pops up
Thank you

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Blog Page Template No Sidebar
Ben, your tip fixed the issue. I was unaware that WP settings would override that of this theme.
As to styling my page to look like premium-3, there are just a couple things:
1) I would like to have the settings for the revolution slider used (i like the transitions and styling used)
2) I would like my top menu to look similar (having the separators between buttons)also, I don’t see the font size adjustment for the hover drop downs of the menu, where is that setting?
Thank you for the fast service and responses! 🙂

I did upgrade, testing it at the moment – found the three additional slots, thanks
1) Can I have a full page wide map with the widget as with the contact page map=yes option? As in here http://otzshoes.fi/yhteystiedot/
2) There is a small typo in the widget example text – see screenshot https://www.evernote.com/shard/s45/sh/a8371101-c5b7-47b9-b2a3-67dc5e42e1b9/b595fcc9ec17d195560db194859092bcSuperb addition, thanks!

May 3, 2014 at 7:21 am #8368My guess is your blog page is your “latest posts” page in the wordpress settings > reading. Just go in and unset the latest posts page. Leave it on select. If you pick a page for it then the page template is overridden.
As for cloning the content of style three, it’s got photos that I can’t distribute. I do have demo content with photos that are gpl here:
https://www.kadencewp.com/install-virtue-premium-with-demo-content/What are you wanting specifically maybe I can help you with the settings.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHow do i make sure that product info containers on my shop pages are all the same height regardless of the product title length?
*Login to see linkIn forum: Virtue ThemeI’m trying to configure my blog page to not have a sidebar but it’s not working for some reason.
I have selected the “blog” page template, and selected to not show sidebar in the page template setting. I also turned off show sidebar in the “blog page options” section. The sidebar still shows.
Could anyone provide any insight?
*Login to see linkLastly, is there a way to clone the virtual-premium-3 content?

May 2, 2014 at 1:24 pm #8346Hey, can you check which version of the theme you have? If you are higher then 2.2.0 you can update in wordpress but before that you have to manually update:
http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#theme_updateelse if you have the latest version (2.3.6) go to the theme options page and right click in the popup box click inspect and see if there are any red errors showing, it could be a plugin conflict.
