Hi Hannah,

There was a recent update to Kadence Blocks. I updated this plugin then checked Home Page. The issue is gone now – not sure if the update fixed this but we haven’t done anything else so maybe so…

will mark as resolved.

From your edit page if you open the Settings tab in Elementor you should see a Page Layout dropdown and there you can select a fullwidth layout. Does this work for you?

Hey,
Thanks for the helpful information, that allowed me to recreate what you were seeing.

So for clarification, the image overlay block doesn’t use Javascript. I know for other reasons that the cause isn’t related to that but I thought I would clarify 🙂

This is a bug with WordPress Core and usually, I can hack a fix in, but in this case, I believe they will have to fix it. I’m still looking for options because WordPress is not fast on fixes.

However, I can tell you that Kadence isn’t the only block plugin this particular bug will happen with. I can recreate the same behavior using coblocks.

First let me clarify that this is a “nuisance bug” not a bug that will break your site or prevent you from developing, it simply requires one extra step when you want to add a reusable block and “convert it to regular blocks”. That extra step is simply to save the page after you add the bock and reload that edit screen, or (even simpler) edit the reusable block and save without making any changes.

With regard to what is happening. When Gutenberg adds a reusable block into the page it will reference that block from the initial page load (reusable blocks are all rendered on the backend on page load in gutenberg). In order to perform better, it may not build out the HTML in the dom but instead just use the reference for the reuable block, when you click “convert it to a regular blocks” that button expects HTML in the dom to reference and since it’s not there it fails to convert to blocks. By reloading or resaving the block it loads in the dom differently in a way that you can convert.

However there is still one thing that I can’t recreate, you wrote:

Some of my saved blocks are completely broken, i have a couple of saved carousels but if i try placing one all the images look like they keep getting bigger and bigger until the page crashes or i close the editor.

Can you clarify how I can recreate this?

Yes, this is within the Gutenberg editor. In the classic editor you should still see your page settings in the right side panel.

Hi, I am currently running WordPress 5.3.6. I have been using Kadence blocks for at least a year now. The other day, I did an update on Kadence Blocks plugin, to version 1.9.9. Now, when I edit any page that include Kadence blocks, I get an insert of message next to the block:

Your site doesn’t include support for the “kadence/advancedheading” block. You can leave tis block intact, convert its content to a Custom HTML block, or remove it entirely.

Of course, the name of the block changes according to what the block is. I also attached a screenshot.

How should I fix this problem? I tried to search the help center but didn’t find anything helpful for this issue.

I am using Virtue Premium theme, Version: 4.9.31, via a child theme.

I realize that the current version of WordPress is 5.6, but because some of the plugins I am using may not be compatible with it, I am holding back on upgrading WordPress.

Hey,
You have turned on the setting in virtue for “Load Google Fonts Locally” This is found in theme options > misc settings. You then selected that font in Kadence Blocks and you have it set to “load font” that is why you have two loading and the second is faster because the browser doesn’t need it. Not to mention it’s loading directly from google which can be faster.

I suggest you turn off Load Google Fonts Locally.

If you really want that though then you just need to edit your page and where you’ve specially assigned google fonts in blocks turn the “load font” option off.

That should prevent the second load.

You can adjust these settings for each page from the individual edit pages. Option the Page Settings tab in the right side panel and you’ll see these settings.

you have the neet filtering function at the top of the page.

I would like that same function on a set of Services pages, the main one being here:

There are around 25 pages within the SERVICES section divided into 3 headings, Architecture/building surveying/project management.

It is possible that you haven’t checked the Visible on the product page option for the product attributes “shipping dimensions” and “product dimensions”, that’s why they’re not showing on the Additional information product tab. You can refer to this page for more information regarding the WooCommerce product attributes – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/#section-8.

To rename product attributes, go to Products > Attributes and click the Edit link on the attribute you want to rename. Then, change the text on the Name field.

There is no built-in option to do that. On the other hand, you can make use of custom CSS code and add it to Theme Options > Custom CSS.
For the portfolio pages, you can add this:
