Hi there,
I’m getting a Connection Not Secure message for my home page only. I’ve just redesigned and relaunched from a subdomain and did my usual post-launch cleanup of mixed content by using Better Search & Replace’s plugin first, then manual cleanup I usually encounter with some images. There’s one last http:// snippet from the home page but I have no idea how to access and fix it. Can you help? The page is avalonimg.com.
I’ve also included a screenshot of the source code where this is located.
Thanks!

Hi – I am trying to find a list of shortcodes to display portfolio posts in Ascend – is there one?
I’d like to display a selection of portfolio posts by portfolio-tag, if possible, on an Events Calendar page *Login to see linkIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: disable link on portfolio grid
Hi Ellen,
There isn’t a built-in way to do this, but you can do so with some simple css like this:.page-id-11 article.kt-blocks-post-grid-item { pointer-events: none; }Just paste that into your custom css box in Theme Options > Custom CSS.
Hope it helps!Hannah

In forum: Ascend ThemeAugust 26, 2020 at 4:59 pm #255843Hello
Just wondering how I can force the carousel at the bottom of this page to show 2 more products: *Login to see link
I have used the Product carousel Block and have selected 8 products individually but it is only showing the first 6. there is no setting in this carousel to say how many products to display so I thought it would display them all.
Any suggestion what to do here?
Thanks very much as always.

August 26, 2020 at 4:01 pm #255837Hey,
Kadence doesn’t do anything that would override the page output. The theme doesn’t override the template or do special hooking in, it’s just normal. I would check with toolset, should be a setting in that if you are going to be able to override the content of a learn dash course. From the output it doesn’t look like toolset is hooking in to override the entire course template, its only hooking in at the normal content area and learndash is outputting the status area.

In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Problem with the modal popup and mobile login
August 26, 2020 at 3:52 pm #255834Hey,
I want to make sure we get on the same page. 🙂 I’m concerned with the premise of this topic.First, you believe that google indexing urls and separating based on parameters is an issue. (I think that is debatable, from my research google is smarter then that, and also if the login is nonindexed I think you are fine).
Second, you say “I had a developer log into this and his conclusion is that your login modal is creating this.” I don’t see this as the logical conclusion of what the developer wrote.
So lets for a second take away the popup modal with login form.
In your mobile menu you are adding a login button, that button isn’t from the theme, it appears to be an added menu item from another plugin. That contains a link to the login page with a query string to redirect back after login.
That isn’t related to the theme, it’s just a normal link to the login page with a redirect parameter, something many sites have and you have it in your menu. Based on what you are saying and what your hired developer is saying is that link is causing a problem (I don’t believe this is a true “problem” but let’s go with it). And from what you are writing the only possible solution is to remove the redirect parameter. And from your own developer, the query comes from your social login, not from the themes modal.
So I’m curious how you get to this statement:
I had a developer log into this and his conclusion is that your login modal is creating this.
When I read the comments from the developer he clearly points out the social login which isn’t from the theme and the redirect to the page (also not from the theme).
Now I understand that you can say his conclusion is that you are adding login links to every page on your site and that is why they show up when you slurp your site for links. However, that isn’t a theme-specific output. In this situation, it wouldn’t matter what theme you used because his solution for you is simply to remove the login links or the link parameters for redirecting back which doesn’t seem like a solution that at all involves the theme. The themes modal with login uses a form for login and there are not links since you don’t leave the page to login and come back. It’s only the social plugin that adds the extra.
So since I doubt you want to remove the login and I doubt you want to remove the redirect parameter I thin your best option (assuming you want to do something about this at all) is to Block crawling of parameterized duplicate content https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6080548?hl=en
I hope that helps and clarifies!

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Full-width image possible in Virtue Premium?
Hello,
You can set the slider to be full width. First, you have to set your page to full width in Theme Options under “Main Settings”. From there, you would go to “Home Slider” in the Theme Options and then select “Shortcode” for the slider type. There you will see an input box show up on the page asking for the shortcode to the slider you created. If you created the slider to be full width, you should be good and the slider will stretch the width of the page while the content stays contained.
Let me know if you need more details or if that wasn’t what you were looking for.
Thanks!
In forum: Membership ForumsAugust 26, 2020 at 2:41 pm #255824I did some testing the issue seemed to come from the gallery and settings associated with the gallery conflicting with your CDN.
The image width setting was at 465 which the plugin would try to create for you, however perhaps because of the CDN or something else the function in WordPress to create a cropped size isn’t working on your site. I would need to have more access to the files to determine why this core function isn’t working for you.
The gallery is designed for one slow load as it creates the image sizes needed, once created those image sizes are there and don’t need to be created so the plugin never has that slow load again.
On your site, it keeps trying to resize the images to the requested size and so you are starting up the image editor engine. This is slowing down the site because it can’t resolve the task of creating a smaller image so it doesn’t have to run again.
By turning off just the gallery extension the pages seem to load fine.
I’m happy to add support for your CDN if I understand more of why it’s breaking the core function. Would you be able to send me a ftp access so I can see this?

In forum: Kadence ThemeAugust 26, 2020 at 2:28 pm #255820Hello!
How can I disable template in Kadence for Learndash course as I create from scratch in Toolset.
Right now it is not ok at all as I somehow have some aprt of content ABOVE the start of template making in Toolset *Login to see link (here the row with image and title should be the first and the content of course shoudn’t be visible as I put in Toolset template the first row for image and title and that is it. If I put content of course in toolset it will be doubled on the page ..
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi all
I need to make the image on the home page span the whole screen, with text and links overlaid. Here is a test page:
*Login to see linkI’m currently using Kadence Slider to create that text overlay on the photo (it’s a static slider of 1 slide.) I need to override the left and right margins applied to every page in this theme so that the photo can be full-width, with the text and links overlaid on the photo as in the test page above.
What is the best way to do this? Via CSS? A different plugin? It’s been very hard to get it so the text is legible on different devices, unfortunately the bridge has a lot of detail and I have to limit the text to the sky and water sections
Thanks!

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Sticky Header Transparency Issues
Hello,
This looks to be apart of the design that you have to choose which pages are going to have transparent headers. On the pages with transparent headers, a non-trans-header class gets added to the page. When the page is set to have a transparent header, the body tag gets a trans-header class added to the page. This is what determines how the page handles things. The theme settings just determine how the transparent header would work if enabled.
Sorry for the confusion, but let us know if you need anything else.
Thanks!
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: PHP Upgrade causing error?
In forum: Kadence ThemeBoth Google Search Console and Ahrefs SEO audits are showing thousands of wp-login crawled URLs. I had a developer log into this and his conclusion is that your login modal is creating this.
I’ve attached 2 screenshots from the developer from the Chrome Dev with the trouble code.
Report with all the trouble redirect links *Login to see link – they all have the same format
While blocking from robots works for indexing it doesn’t fully solve the problem. It’s a neverending SEO debate but each link on a page is leaking page rank even if it’s nofollow or blocked by robots. Also, there not just a few links but it appears to generate a lot more links with parameters than the number of site pages.
Please let me know if this is something that can be fixed.
His full comments below:
The cause of the problem:
I checked the results appearing in the file what you attached, and I assume the problem is caused by that you are displaying the login form and the social buttons in a popup form. The duplicated /wp-login.php and /oauth-redirect-uri pages are looking like this:
*Login to see linkand if you inspect the Source URLs in these 2 cases they are:
*Login to see linkNextend Social Login redirects the users back to the same page where the social button was pressed. This is handled over the “redirect” parameter, that as you can see contains the URL encoded url of the current page, where you are currently located at – see attachment: nsl-redirect-link.JPG.
So if you are on different pages, the Target URL will be different as well, as the redirect parameter will contain the URL of the current page, this is why Google may also think that it is completely new Target URL.
However without passing the url with the redirect url of the social buttons, we wouldn’t be able to redirect the users back to the same page where the person pressed the social button.
The same thing happens with your mobile menu, too where you have a “Log In” menu point. If you inspect the URL of the link, it contains the URL of the current page in the redirect_to parameter, that WordPress use to handle redirects by default.
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: multiple links on a single image
Hi Chris,
After doing some additional research, I am coming to the conclusion that I need to use an image map. So what I am looking for is if Pinnacle has an image map editor or, alternatively, how to use image maps HTML code in a Pinnacle widget.
This is a page I found that explains how to create image maps and will give you a good idea of what I am after https://onextrapixel.com/how-to-create-multiple-links-on-a-single-image-with-image-map/thank you,

In forum: Ascend ThemeAugust 26, 2020 at 11:32 am #255806Hello, I’m looking to disable the links on a portfolio grid. This is because I like the way the grid on the page looks, but the club is not ready to publish any further information about each of the portfolio items at this time. I feel like the option to do this is staring me in the face; I just can’t find the option, if any.

See “What We Do” page.Thank you!
