    Website is:

This evening I noticed the Kadence Slider images are not displaying at the top of the webpage. It is showing grey box where the images should be.

I have not changed the page or any content in months. What has changed: I was upgraded to WordPress 5.5 yesterday, and today I enabled auto updates on all plug-ins. I did check after the WordPress upgrade, and the images were showing.

I checked the knowledgebase, and someone mentioned about lazy loading could be a cause. I have SG Optimizer, but I do not have lazy loading turned on, and I have not made updates to the switches in that plug-in recently.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hello,

I’m creating an online comic and am trying to add a GIF to a page using an image block. I’ve uploaded and set it at full size but it isn’t animating, would you know why this might be? It shows as animating while it’s loading!

I’ve got the Imagify plugin that compresses images so maybe that could be interfering. I’ve tried uploading and removing the plugins optimisation function for the GIF but it still isn’t animating.

    Many thanks 🙂

EDIT – I’ve fixed it by uploading a smaller sized GIF file. But my problem now is that the image quality/ resolution isn’t very good, but that’s not really a Kadence question, more of a design question. Still, if anyone has any advice I would be most grateful!

All the pages on that site are loading for me without issue.

It’s really important after an update that you clear the browser cache. Is it possible you just need to clear it so the correct js loads and your page works?

Hey Mike, your issue is caused by SEO Ultimate. You can deactivate it to test and see everything working. They are adding some javascript that is breaking the page.

    Hey,
How are you creating your blog post page?

Pagination would automatically be added for blog posts archive page.

Oh sorry, I didn’t realize you we clicking to new pages and that was happening. Yes, turning off the page transitions will fix that:)
Can you explain in more what you’re wanting help with in regard to the page titles?
    Thanks!

    Hi there,

My apologies for butting in if this isn’t appropriate, but I’m encountering the same issue with the button shortcode except I’m simply using the WordPress visual editor. I ran into this last night with a different site I’m working on but within the SiteOrigin page builder. The attached example is a different site without using any page builder.

My workaround for last night was to copy the shortcode snippet from a previously existing instance, paste and update the details.

Again, sorry if this isn’t the right space; let me know if you’d prefer I open a new ticket.

    Thanks!

OK I did that and now the ordering is OK but they are again on the right side of the page!
Please take a look at the image I’ve uploaded in the first message. That is what I am looking for.

    Thank you.

    Hey,
Thanks for the page and all the info. I just pushed live an update that should resolve this for you. 🙂

    Hi Team,

When you search the KB for child theme you get this page, but it doesn’t have a link for Kadence.

I found another page that also has child themes and includes Kadence:

Maybe add Kadence to the first one and link to the second one at the bottom of the themes page? Someone made and shared a child theme because they thought there wasn’t one available.

    Best,

    David

    Hi there.

    I’ve got a testimonial carousel that shows up with opacity set to 0, likely because of this css: .kad_testimonial_fade_in {opacity:0;}
When I set that to 1.0 via css (for my home page only), it displays but doesn’t fade in.

Additionally, all of the testimonial items are displayed in block during load, which I don’t recall seeing before.
I see that someone else has this same issue and the fix was to set opacity to 1. That’s fine but is there any css to hide the items on load?

I’ve created a sample page at

    Thanks!

I did some tests it appears to be related to the server capacity in connection with your caching plugin. If I change the posts per page (settings > reading) to 6 (previously 10) then everything seems to work.

I suggest leaving it on that for the time being and then contacting your host to ask if they can increase your PHP max memory setting.

    Hey There!

I’m working on a site that will have data-driven ozone alerts and a weather widget in the top bar of all pages. My first thought was to create widgets – or probably shortcodes – to do this. But when I look at the customizer for header sections, I don’t see an option to add either to the top bar. I tried dropping {year} into an HTML block as a test, but no luck.

What is the best way for me to add custom coded objects to the site header? Can I add a function to allow shortcodes in the header? Or maybe hook in? Worst case scenario, I suppose I could add the header template into my child theme and customize, but I’d like to avoid this if possible.

    Thanks!

    Hey,
There wasn’t any changes to that in the latest update, perhaps you have a broken link on your page. A link would be helpful.

    Hello Hannah,

I’ve employed the Virtue:Gallery widget on this page: with three columns and mosaic options.

For some reason, the photos are displaying all out of proportion. Could you indicate how to fix this?

    Thanks, John

    Hey Hannah,

I use Google Chrome. I have cleared all cache and unstalled/installed Chrome.

Also, I have been trough the plugins, and it turns out to be the Kadence Page Transitions, and it is deactivated.

Could you help me with the pages titles?

    Best, Susanne

Hi! The slider for my header on my homepage looks fine:
For my other pages with other sliders with the exact same settings I get this white gap: Can you please help? I searched the forums and I saw some css code but I don’t know where to put it. Thanks!
