In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: 404 Page Customization – Pro feature request
July 16, 2020 at 8:01 pm #253104Hi – I’m preparing my 404 page in anticipation of a fast hook-up sometime in the future. At this time, I’m designing it to have no header/footer. In testing the page on Chrome for mobile I’m unable to “pull down to refresh the page”. Is this normal behaviour for when the header/footer are disabled? (Duck-Duck-Go and Safari apps both have a refresh in the address bar so they work just fine.) Using Chrome app on an iPhone 11 with iOS 13.6.
In forum: Membership ForumsTopic: Sizechart and elementor
Hi
Before i edited my single product page with elementor the size chart was working, now the size chart does not display,
How can i fix this?
Thanks

Your screenshot is showing a product category page. It’s likely that you’ve set your shop page to only show product categories. You can change this from Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog > Shop page display. To get the category filter to display navigate to Theme Options > Shop Archive Settings and set the Show Category Filter on Shop Page to On.
Hope that’s helpful!Best,
HannahIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi there,
I am not able to find a setting or reason, but none of the featured images of my blogs are showing on the blog grid page.
Can you please guide me in the right direction to rectify this. I am using Virtue Premium.

In forum: Virtue ThemeSo, what I think you are saying is, with Kadence blocks (which I have never used) I can do this:
(Slider)
Page Content
– Icon Menu
– Home Widget Area (for testimonials)
– Latest Blog Posts with sticky postAnd I would have more freedom to customize the items on the home page I gather?

In forum: Kadence ThemeJuly 15, 2020 at 7:58 pm #253066Is there a way to achieve this look in the kadence theme? I’m trying to add the Products widget (woo extras I believe) but it doesn’t let me select a product category the list just shows my pages or individual products. Plus, how can I get the filters in the screen shot?

July 15, 2020 at 5:29 pm #253058Are you adding this js?
window.addEventListener('load', function () { var donwload_links = document.querySelectorAll('a'); for (let j = 0; j < donwload_links.length; j++) { donwload_links[j].addEventListener('click', function(e) { var down = this.href.match(/.*\.(pdf/)(\?.*)?$/); if (down != null) { gtag('event', 'click', {'event_category': 'downloads','event_label' : this.href}); } }); } });It’s breaking the page a little bit.
I do see your video load, did you make sure to clear your cache?

July 15, 2020 at 5:17 pm #253056ok, viewed the console in 4 different browsers. Interesting any chrome based browser would result in the issue of losing the featured image after editing the page setting. Firefox and Edge both retained the featured image. Below is a link to a word doc with the screen shot of the console from each browser in the page editor. No hurry on this, enjoy your evening.
btw i really like the Kadence products, I’ve been back and forth between astra oceanwp with elementary. I never really learned a lot about any of them before i stumbled up on Kadence. I am attempting to do this with Kadence and Gutenberg without a supplemental page builder. This is the most comfortable I’ve felt putting my site together yet. I’m a developer by trait, but mostly backend applications, very little front in and i admit i have to work at this, but it’ll come eventually. thanks again.

July 15, 2020 at 5:11 pm #253054Can you send me a login so I can see your settings. It looks like you could be adding a script into your page through the footer scripts or a edited file.
What I see in your footer and what you see from the screenshot is printed out javascript that involves lazy loading youtube.
BenIn forum: Virtue ThemeJuly 15, 2020 at 5:08 pm #253053Hey,
If you want elementor to control the archive for your blog then you do that through the theme builder in elementor pro. (looks like you already set that up) you just need to assign that page as your “latest posts” page in the settings reading.
Otherwise if you don’t assign that page and it’s just a static page you can edit it in elementor and add a post grid widget but it won’t give you the same pagination controls.
I hope that helps!

July 15, 2020 at 3:31 pm #253032sorry, should have gone through that first. A couple of things
1.
I am using NextGen Gallery and NextGen Pro, seems they are the culprit for the featured image being removed when a page setting is updated.2.
On the page settings, I see the Featured image position setting, but not the image ratio whether the plugins are active are deactivated. Is the image ratio only available in the customizer settings?thanks for your help,
russell

July 15, 2020 at 3:10 pm #253025Hey, Welcome!
Also when adding a featured image and then changing any page settings the featured image is removed and has to be re-added each time a page setting is changed
That means you have an error in your admin breaking how things are saved and this would also explain why you are not getting the image to show on the front end.
Have you tried deactivating plugins?

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Mysterious “Opt-in” form
OMG can someone please help me? For no know reasons, I now have this appearing at the very bottom of every page on my website:
{{optin_title}}
{{{optin_message}}}
{{field.placeholder}}
{{field.placeholder}}
{{cta_button}}It does not appear on my homepage or on any of my posts, just the pages.
I’ve tried disabling the email opt-in plugin I have installed, and tried a million other things but nothing seems to work.
Here is a link to a page that has this displayed. Again, it’s at the very bottom of the page:

July 15, 2020 at 6:52 am #252964Hey Ian,
I’m sorry you feel like I’m not listening to you. I do want to help.
The CSS you posted here is not all from the theme. Most of it is from WordPress core and Plugins running on your site. That css is pulled together and placed there from your speed optimization plugin. Usually, it’s a setting involving loading “critical” CSS.
Of the CSS you posted here only the last section below screen reading is from the theme. The rest comes from jetpack, your cookie consent plugin, magicard, woocommerce, and WordPress core.
Beyond that, I am confused as to what you are asking. Before I thought you were wanting to optimize your google page speed score, however above when I said that you seemed to be upset.
You mentioned that you “took everything off that was related to the theme”. I don’t think I know what you mean, could you explain that a little more?
I want to help,
Ben
