Yes! Mine was very old – 1.2.0. It was so old it didn’t have a check-for-updates on my plugins page, and so the plugins page never prompted me to automatically update. I grabbed the latest version and installed it and my problem appears solved. Perhaps an enhancement or bug fix you guys added a couple years ago fixed it.

Thanks, problem solved. And now this newbie knows how to check for and install non-automatic updates.

Hello,
I found some code on this site and tried to put it into my page

I input all of the CSS into the advanced settings and then put the html onto my page and it didn’t work…

is there something else I need to do? Is this possible with this template?

Thanks for looking at it, appreciate it! I’ll check with Imagely to see if they’ll look into it.

Still really liking Kadence. The most comfortable with a theme I’ve been to date, which isn’t saying much. I’m just happy I’ve found a way to not have to go into another page builder and really like working more natively.

I have 1.2.0! Not sure how it is not upgraded, as I do upgrades on most everything whenever they get marked as available. On my plugins page, the extras plugin has no “check for upgrades” and no upgrades indicated. How do I do an upgrade?

1. Ok, I’ll wait to see how it looks once that featured image is available.

2. I’m definitely going to set some custom pages for the ones I want to customize beyond the typical, but it would be great if the “average” archive page also has the option of styling the excerpt text and “read more” link as if it were the post grid block. (Feature request for a future update?). I have plenty of categories and tags (It’s a travel blog, so think of lots of cities and countries around the world! Plus other topics…), so it would be an unreal pain having to create a custom page for each random tag.

3 and 4. Awesome! looking forward to it.

5. I’m guessing I need to keep the say what plugin active for it to work? Or is it a find, replace, and delete the plugin kind of situation? If I have to keep it active, would it be better instead to create a child theme to avoid having a plugin just to change a sentence? Not sure what would be best to keep things lean and performing well.

6. Awesome! I know on the website it says it will come out during the summer, but is there a “guestimate” on when that could be? Just to have an idea on a working and testing timeframe on my side before migrating things to the live site.

Hey,
1. You can set a default for archives but there isn’t a way to pull in the latest posts featured image. I plan to add an option in pro to be able to set a “featured” image for each archive. Like a category.

2. There are not options for this. Perhaps I can look into adding some but if you are wanting a really custom look might be better to use a custom page and our post grid/carousel block. You can control all of this from there.

3. Search results is getting some of it’s own controls that is part of the next theme update which should be live Monday 🙂

Hi Chris,
There isn’t a way to have a product category page with the filter. The filter will itself output individual categories as each category is clicked. Does that make sense?

I’m currently using Jetpack’s related post feature but I’d like to get rid of Jetpack, which is why I’m looking at Kadence’s related posts.

Ok, so how do I add the Kadence related posts grid block at the end of my posts without having to do it on every single post every time I post? We are talking about over 500 posts and pages that have been published already, so doing this manually on a post by post basis is not an option.

This needs to be added automatically or hooked somehow like every other related posts plugin does.

Hey,
That is default margin ouput from page builder. You can use this css to hide it for that row:

.panel-widget-style.panel-widget-style-for-29805-0-0-0 {
    margin-top: -10px;
}

You can add a search from Customize > Header. Just drag and drop a search where you’re wanting it.

Cool. I got the left side widgets, I didnt know where to find them… Now, I want to create a product page for one product category (grid type layout with a filter on top like image above) What is the best way to do that? I have the kadence elementor plugins, but the instructions I found on the support page are very general and confusing.

Hi, I am currently trying to get the website tub images on equinexceed.com to view in columns of 2 for mobiles instead of the single image that it now defaults to. This would tidy up the mobile page and customers would have less scrolling to do. The images are in 4 columns and sit great in desktop view. Is it possible to get the images in columns of 2 for mobile experience.

i have tried to use the ascend gallery option as well but it also defaults to single column view in mobile mode.

I have additional info to add that I didn’t think about before. When the NextGen Gallery plugin is installed you get an additional button to use a NextGen Gallery Image in the featured image section on the page settings. I included a screenshot in the doc.

After installing the Kadence theme that button is no longer visible.

Related to this I’ve got a bug with the Woo AllReviews block on this page https://www.welshslatewaterfeatures.co.uk/reviews/

In the page editor I can see the all the reviews and make changes but for some reason nothing shows up on the front end.

Cache has been purged multiple times, there’s no custom css running on that page so I’m a bit lost sorry, hopefully it’ll be something silly I’ve missed!

Any way this could be styled to everything looks even?
5. How can I change the “search results for:” text to something different like “You searched for:”?

Lastly, since we are discussing these search pages…
6. How can I style the 404 page and add some image and additional text/links? Not sure if this could be something that’s part of the pro theme of if there’s a way to do it with the free one?

I have ascend theme, using woocommerce and kadence woocommerce extras. Most products have 2 variations – framed or unframed paintings. I put in images for each variant – one for the unframed painting and the other for the framed painting, but the displayed image always remains the same no matter what option is selected on the product page. Any idea why? How should this be working?
