I’m using the Kadence theme. I enabled transparent header and uploaded a background image.
I couldn’t put an overlay over the image (and the image wasn’t dark enough), so I tried to remove it (to upload a different darker image).
I’m not able to remove (delete the image) – I pressed the reset arrow, to the left of the image, and that didn’t work either.

Now the transparent header is causing a couple different problems:

1. I’m not able to remove/delete the background image (I tried hitting the reset arrow a few times and it’s still not working)

2. For some reason, the transparent header now adds unwanted background color on my buttons and primary nave menu.

3. My main page now does not drop below the transparent header.

Is there someone who could help me out? I’m hoping this can be fixed so I don’t have to completely reset my work.

With the first article on the page (Stephanie Roper), the gallery shows the 5 images. I’d like to show these 5 on the lightbox. At the moment, you just see one image on lightbox.

If I swap to using Meow Lightbox, it displays all the articles but this includes the following articles. I can’t figure out how to separate.

What steps have you done? You would need to create a new homepage using Elementor and then set that new page as the front page from Settings > Reading. If you want to send login info I would be happy to look into this for you. You can set as a private reply.

Wow! Thank you so much ! I really appreciate you going through all of that for me.

I got rid of the <p> tag, and it didn’t seem to get rid of the space between the home page and the header.. the page has its black horizontal divider, and the space seems to be under that…

One quick question though.

If I do switch back to classic editor, will I lose the functionality of how I have those slanted dividers on the bottom of each row? I don’t remember that being a thing when I used to build back in the day…

Hey,
The general would apply to the entire site. The Page-specific would only apply to pages. If for example, if you wanted your site to have a specific background except on pages you wanted it to be different then setting a page specific would make sense. There isn’t any need or reason to set it the same if you’ve already set this in general and that is what you want for pages.

And just in case it’s not clear pages is a specific post type in your site different from “posts”.

Hey,

Every time I go into edit a page, I lose the main menu on the side… Is there a way to keep that up?

That was a change in WordPress. When in the edit mode you can change this by clicking the three dots in the top right corner then toggling the fullscreen mode.

I get the warning “This block contains unexpected or invalid content”

If you keep getting that error and you are not making any changes to that block (assuming you are recovering and saving) then you may need to reach out to siteorigin. You might also need to switch to the classic editor if it becomes an issue: https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/

Is there a way to get rid of the white strip between my home page and my footer?

You have an empty <p> tag at the bottom of your page which is creating the space. In the editor make sure to remove any empty paragraph blocks at the bottom.

That could be server related or related to your content. It might be a reason to use the classic editor if you don’t intend to build with blocks.

You can add this css in your theme options > advanced settings > custom css:

.footercol3, .footercredits {
    text-align: center;
}

We are having 2 or 3 magnifying glasses/zoom functions at the Woocommerce product page? Site is hellaholics.com. If I unable the “Enable woocommerce hover zoom for product gallery? (must be woocommerce 3.0+)” in Theme Options 1 of the magnifying glasses disappears, but where does the other 2 come from?

Would want to keep 1 single magnifying glass/zoom function and preferably the the white one for aesthetic purpose.

Hey Novel,
That can be replaced from your static homepage. Edit the page builder row with the call to action widget, then open the Design tab and there you can replace the background image of the row.

After updating to Viteu-pro 4.9.24 the +/- sign for the shopping cart has been placed above the number.

For this page I do use a child theme …(That I have ever had made by someone)

Hey,
There isn’t a native way to do this in woocommerce, you would either have to get a plugin to add this kind of editing or code it in through a code snippet plugin.

For example, adding text could look like this snippet:
