In reply to: Spacing Question
June 29, 2020 at 7:21 am #252147Hi,
I am looking to find a way to add a widget with Recently viewed products at all product pages. To be displayed below the “You may also like” up-sell product row. Tried the SiteOrgin Premium Plug-in and their Woocommerce Template builder. To my understanding SiteOrgin is a recommended plug-in?
I have created a product page template within SiteOrgin Premium plug-in, that works with all rows and widgets, apart from the last row and not the widget row containing Recently viewed products. Any toughs on why? Is there a conflict between the Ascend theme settings and the SiteOrgin Premium Plug-in?
Is there another plug-in that may work better with Ascend that you can recommend? Or perhaps a way to do this within Ascend without plug-ins?
Thank you.

Thanks Ben & Hannah for the efforts and feedback. I re-installed Woocommerce blocks and it indeed seems that they fixed something as it is now working again!
That part is fixed.Regarding the sticky-header problem: that doesn’t seem to work. Maybe we will remove the links from the submenu then. But it would be nice to be able to approach a chapter on a page from another page without starting at the top again.
Thanks much appreciated!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Adding more to Title Typed Text
Hey Stephen,
There isn’t an option for this within the homepage settings, but you can work around by adding your type text via shortcode. From Theme Options > Home Page Header set “Enable Typed Text instead of standard” to “Off” then in the Home Page Title you can add your normal text, then add a page break (like this: <br>) then add a typed text shortcode like this:
[kt_typed first_sentence="First Sentence" second_sentence="Second" third_sentence="Third" fourth_sentence="Fourth" startdelay="500" loop="true"]
Hope this is helpful!Best,

June 28, 2020 at 8:14 am #252124Hi,
I am wondering about how to add text content to the My account page in woocommerce. I tried to add text content to the my account page below the [woocommerce_my_account] shortcode in pages. Doing so the text A) Show ups on all sub pages, aka dashboard, my orders, gift card balance, downloads ect ect. How can I add text directly below: “From your account dashboard you can view your recent orders, manage your shipping and billing addresses, and edit your password and account details” and only have it shown on the first page of the my account dashboard?
Thanx!
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi I thought I had submitted this problem yesterday but I can’t find it so assume that I didn’t submit it properly or something. Anyway, as a result, I don’t have access to the exact error message but another user had a similar problem a while ago and will include what their message was – the log is *Login to see link
wiltonwindmill.co.uk is on PHP version 7.0 and for security and performance, it needs to be updated to 7.3 (according to WordPress). I updated the PHP version to 7.3 and got an error message regarding Slider Revolution. I found the same problem on the support forums here and the solution seemed to be to use 7.1. So I changed to 7.1 and that didn’t work either – I still got an error message but it was different and in fact couldn’t access the admin screens. I received this email from WordPress:
Hi!Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Slider Revolution.
First, visit your website (*Login to see link and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (*Login to see link and check for any visible issues.
Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.
If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.
To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.
When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:

Current theme: Virtue – Premium (version 4.9.24)
Current plugin: Slider Revolution (version 5.1.6)

Thanks

In forum: Kadence ThemeFurther to my earlier questions and here regarding galleries…
I’m now using a Kadence Layer slider in the sidebar to display the series of adverts.
This addresses the size problems I was having.
Is there a way to note the slide number and begin the sequence on that slide when a page refresh or link to new page occurs?
The default action is to re-start the slider at slide#1 which will give an unfair bias to certain adverts, while others may never be seen.I suppose the alternative is to show the slides in a random order. Can the layer slider do that?
Many thanks,
Phil.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Question on Virtue Theme
Hey Stanley,
You just need to set your front page as a static page from Settings > Reading and then enable Page Content in the Homepage Layout Manager from Theme Options > Home Layout. This post explains: https://www.kadencewp.com/knowledge-base/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue-premium/
Hope that’s helpful!Best,

June 26, 2020 at 3:24 pm #252093This is a bug in woocommerce blocks. I’ll have to see if someone else is reporting, have you tried installing the woocommerce blocks plugin to see if they’ve fixed this in later versions.
Adding hash:true in the js can make that offset work when coming from another page.
I added for you to test.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: change row view on mobile, hide images on mobile
Hey Carrie,
Do you mean the row that says “Disability” “Illness” Ect? If so, you can hide the images on mobile with this css:@media (max-width: 768px) { div#pg-946-2 img { display: none; } }To make the titles collapse on mobile, in your page builder editor, edit the row and open the Layout tab. Then set the Collapse Behaviour to Standard.
Hope this helps!Best,

June 26, 2020 at 2:52 pm #252088How do I set static page with using Virture Theme and WooCommerce. Typically when using WordPress I set as home page?
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
Using Discussion Board Pro plugin with Virtue Bold.
I’m guessing it’s more related to the plugin tbh but their support is non existent so hoping you guys may be able to help a little!
On the individual discussion boards it throws everything from the sidebar into the footer and looks really messy, example here *Login to see link
Sidebar functions fine on the main forum page here *Login to see link
In google there is a link for Discussion Board Pro’s site in relation to a “common theme conflict” but the page 404s and like I said, their support is non existent so I’m a bit stuck.
Any light you can throw my way would be appreciated.
Thanks
Pete

June 26, 2020 at 2:06 pm #252085Hey,
In your forum edit screen look on the top right corner and make sure the form is set to be a support form, that will allow the topic status.1. You can add this css:
#bbpress-forums ul.status-pending.sticky a { background:transparent; }2. You can add this css:
#bbpress-forums { max-width: 900px; margin: 0 auto; }3. The form title you can set the font in the form edit page at the bottom in the page title settings.
You can also do this with css:
.bbpress .titleclass .entry-title { font-size: 30px !important; }That css would apply to topics as well.

June 26, 2020 at 10:45 am #252078Hi Hannah
What you are saying make perfect sense, but our client wants the website to go live before those extra pages are ready. We would turn them on later on. Furthermore the non categorisation would be a massive problem.
Would you know within the code where to turn that off? Or what file can we edit in the code just to temporary disable the links?Thx for your time!

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Folks!
I’d like to change the view on mobile for the 3rd row on this page:
(the row with the sq images and the insurance name underneath it.)I’d like to hide images in that row on mobile, and also for the insurance names to list in a vertical row.
Or something close to that that works on mobile. Can you help me with this?
Thank you in advance,
CarrieIn forum: Membership ForumsI installed the bbPress plug-in on my production site and the following issue occurred. It was working fine on my staging site until I synchronized my production to my staging site.
-The status icons on the topics page aren’t displayingI was also wondering how I could make the following three changes on my bbpress site styling or if the plug-in could be updated
-Make the background text transparent on a super sticky topic title and forum name. This way, the existing yellow bar background shows behind the text.
-Adjust the total page width for any of the bbPress content pages
-Ability to change the title font size for the Forums page, Topics page and Replies Page individuallyProduction Website: *Login to see link
