2.&3. The site origin slider is a widget. To display a slider via shortcode you need to create a Kadence Slider. Then see my instructions from above: “In your post edit page under Post Title and Subtitle add your Kadence Slider shortcode to the Override and use a Shortcode Slider tab. Then make sure the page title and transparent header are both turned on.”

Hey Grace,
Your link took me to a page not found. How are you setting up your blog page? Are you using the blog grid template? See here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/templates/blog-grid-template/
Make sure that in Settings > Reading your Post Page is set to blank.
You can hide the excerpt with css. Once you get the blog page working I can help with the css.

Hi Robbie,

1. Ben is backpacking for the holiday, but will be back on tomorrow and I’ll make sure he looks into this. Are you having trouble with shortcodes anywhere else on your site?

2. I’m not able to duplicate that. When I click the search container I am taken to a search page. Is this not the case for you?

3. Which plugin update seemed to affect this? Have you tried deactivating that plugin to test?

i put a simple H2 and your shortcode [blog_posts type=”photo” orderby=”date” cat=”proyectos”] but as you can see from this image the result is not correct… if i delete that shortcode and i put the page template as blog… all works correctly …. so i think there is a problem with the elementor widgets…

PS: i cannot put the template because i need to put the bacground color of the page…

My shipping was working properly until about a week ago and I have no idea what has changed. I use a plugin from The Courier Guy and have another option for people to collect to avoid the collection fee. It started only allowing collection last week. I’ve managed to get it working on the checkout page but I want to remove the shipping from the basket page so that all the calculations happen on the checkout page only. I have disabled it on the WooCommerce > Settings ? Shipping > Shipping Options section but it still appears. Is it possible just to remove it from the basket page?

Hi,

I’ve tried out all the best rated Woo product filters (Yith, WOOF, BeRocket) as well as Woo’s own and I get the same issue with all (using Ascend Premium).

doesn’t work unfortunately.

1. When homepage is slected the menu item proefles looks good, also when scrolled down and the menu gets smaller. It should also be like this when other pages are selected (this is not yet the case). When other pages are selected ‘proefles’ onle gets bold and pink when scrolled down.
2. When ‘proefles’ is selected it is not bold. When scrolled down it is still not visible because of the color doesn’t stay white.

This css makes the logo greyscale from colorful.

But I’d like the inverse of it. The logo should be greyscale as default, but become colorful with mouse hover.

(Sorry, this is the page owner’s wish.. 🙁

Hey Hannah,

1). On the Prinscreem below you’ see when people click on Destinations on the menu it , opens up a page with a list of all the Posts (each with small image and snippets regarding what is it about. On the Printscreen, you see there is no image for Dinokeng Post although I have inserted it in the feature image block (as per 2nd Printscreen)

2). The Layout I used for this post I found in Libraries and thought the layout was from a Kadence slider bu,t i now see it’s a Site Origin slider. are part of a Site origin slider, sorry not a Kadenceslider. It’s an image of Lion,s and then slides over to images of Elephant.

3). I want to move it up to the top and replaces the text on the 2 images to other text. (Is the text automatically H1 and H2, right)?

Hi Hannah,

I would like to use one of my custom sidebars for category pages. It is called “chant sidebar”, and appears on my blog posts as well. But when I go to Theme Options>Blog Options, I find that I am only allowed to choose from the Virtue theme default sidebars, namely “Primary, sidebar, Home Widget Area, and the footers.” I don’t want any of these. How do I choose a different sidebar for the category pages?

Your comments were very useful, directing me to how many posts appear and how long the text will be. Thank you.

#1 Updated to the latest version of Kadence and my shop page product filter plugin shortcode is being now stripped out, it was visible in the previous version? Pics attached.

Just updated to 0.7.1 and now woocommerce product categories aren’t visible on the shop page either now. If you list by product its fine.

I’m afraid I don’t understand the question.

I was responding to this: “If I remove the plugin, then the theme options fails to work.”

If you are not updating your theme version then I suggest you do that, you should always keep your theme updated. You can find the latest versions on the my-account page. If you don’t see the option to update within your admin it may mean you are so far back that you have to manually update. You can follow these steps to manually update: https://www.kadencewp.com/knowledge-base/manually-update-your-theme/
