In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Split Content feature
Hi
I would like to continue with Classic editor. As you have suggested, I tried using a page builder plugin and added a split content widget. Now I have 30 slides that I would like to present in a split layout. Does that mean I have to add 30 split content widgets? Is that a good practice?
Or is there another way to do this? Any other option from the template maybe? As long as I can divide the section between text and image to get the same effect as Split content feature I am fine. Please suggest.
As mentioned earlier, my objective is to convert powerpoint presentation slides into a webpage.
Thanks
YogiIn forum: Virtue ThemeThe html editor definitely doesn’t give you much functionality here. You could create a gallery and link each image to the desired page. That’s the only way I know of within the HTML editor. If you want to use the block editor or a page builder plugin I would be happy to help with multiple ways to get this set up.

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: left align logo
I’m working on moving a website from a Genesis child to Ascend. The logo/tagline area needs to have a specific look, and I haven’t been able to get that. The page below goes to a demo page. In the top banner, you’ll see the logo/tagline area bordered in green and the logo itself bordered in red. I do that so I can see what’s going on while I’m working.
How can I get the logo to left align like the tagline is? I’ve put the custom css that I’ve been trying and failing with.
Many thanks for any help you can offer!

I updated the AMP Plugin yesterday to version 1.0.12 and this morning I woke up with unpleasant emails from Google Search Console:
Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 1 AMP issues:Top Errors
Errors can prevent your page or feature from appearing in Search results. The following errors were found on your site:
The tag ‘link rel=canonical’ appears more than once in the document.
We recommend that you fix these issues when possible to enable the best experience and coverage in Google Search.
After investigating a bit, I figured the issue is that Yoast SEO is adding their own canonical metatags — So not only the canonical tag is a duplicate, but the “title” tag is duplicated as well. The thing is, Yoast is using the correct tags while the AMP plugin is not; so I much rather disable the tags from the AMP Plugin.
How can I disable these tags on the AMP plugin?
Thanks again in advance for all your great help.

Hey Yogi,
There isn’t an option for this in the classic editor. You would either need to revert to the block editor and add a split content block, or else use a page builder plugin and add a split content widget.
Let me know if you would like help with either of these!Hannah

YogiIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Site Origin Layout Builder For Widget – Can’t Edit
OMG, Hannah, after I added a new layout builder row and button widget and hit save I got a msg from Wordfence that it was blocking this action but I could “whitelist it”. I did that, but got the same blank page after going back. Then I decided to deactivate Wordfence and then I could edit the layout builder widget.
So, the issue was Wordfence was blocking it the whole time! Crazy, huh? I would have never figured that out if you hadn’t suggested I add a new one, so thank you very much.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hi Jeremy,
For you blog page I would recommend using a default page template then adding your posts via shortcode like this:[blog_posts type="grid" orderby="date" items="16"]
Then for your single post pages, you can create a post template using beaver builder. See here: https://www.wpbeaverbuilder.com/create-single-post-templates/
Hope this is helpful!Hannah

April 29, 2020 at 6:57 am #248414Hey,
We haven’t bundled that plugin since 2016. If you have a license from 2016 use it to activate your site, then you will be able to update to version 6.1.5 from the appearance > theme plugins page.Ben

April 29, 2020 at 6:45 am #248410I don’t see an id with cookie on that page, I checked by viewing the source code. I suggest adding the id to something that actually stays on the page not an empty p tag.

Previously I have been able to make a jump link – here frontpage bottom –
#cookie Cookies og privatliv –

COOKIES OG PRIVATLIV <p id=”cookie”></p>. However, it is not working on this site.Maybe it is because the front page is with blocks and the other with siteorigin page builder? – or?

In forum: Ascend ThemeHi Ben,
Quick question,
where would add custom code in order to add the pink inverse triangle effect on the top of my blog page and post pages and bottom of the blog pages and post pages.
Would copy part of the theme over to the child theme folder and add it there? Or is there a function I could use?
I will send examples separately
Jeremy
