There is a header area that I’ve colored red for your easier review of my problem. This appears in all my pages except home where I intentionally hid the header entirely. I want the red portion of header on my non-home pages, but not so large in height as it currently is. I can set the color in advanced layout under “heading” and the height but it does not allow me to go below 30px. I don’t know how to refer to this block? header? banner? other? to set the height using custom css. I need it to go below the 30px that is set as a minimum in Site Header Theme Options. Or perhaps it is a separate block nested within a larger block. Please advise how to either lessen the height or hide this red section.
Example: jillsnotebook.com/about-me
Thanks, Jill

January 23, 2020 at 2:30 pm #243743Hey,
That is correct, the filters only filter what is on the page, they are not a menu replacement or an ajax filter where you can use it as a menu. For something like that you would need to use a plugin like this: https://yithemes.com/themes/plugins/yith-woocommerce-ajax-product-filter/The theme category filter is only designed for smaller stories where there is one page of products.

Hi HannahSeems weird that one page has the option and another one doesn’t
Where are you seeing an option for this? There isn’t a built-in option for mosaic galleries within portfolio posts. You could add an external gallery though.
When I create a new page and set the page template to Portfolio, I can then select Mosaic style for the portfolio grid (see screenshot 1)
Another rather annoying issue I’ve come across is that when I go to edit a gallery and it opens the media library, all the layout option dropdowns revert to ‘default’
This shouldn’t happen when editing a gallery. Is this only happening for portfolio galleries? What version of the theme are you running?
I’m running a child theme from version 1.9.8 of Ascend, which I believe is the latest version. It seems to be Portfolio galleries only – see screenshot 2.

The option for a mosaic layout is even listed for portfolio gallery (see screenshot 3), but it doesn’t seem to do anything when selected.

The dropdown boxes aren’t present on the media library pop up when I edit a gallery inserted into a standard page (the layout options there are part of the sidebar admin options)2. From Theme Options > Portfolio Options > Portfolio Post Bottom Carousel you can choose to enable a similar or recent post carousel. This can be overridden for each specific post from the edit page(s).
Thanks, I seem to have sorted this part out now

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Mobile Width
I’ve set up my homepage using custom css so that the container width is 85% with content on the left and the sidebars on the right. It’s great on desktop and tablets.
However, I need ONLY the mobile width to be 100% instead of 85%. (When the mobile display pushes the sidebar beneath the content, the content will then appear full screen above the sidebar). I don’t know how to reference the container for mobile display in css.

To answer your question
1. When you edit that page where in the backend does it take you? When I first started, I created a PAGE called Destinations (and a Category Destinations) – is this perhaps the problem?
for all the Posts (see link for page created for Destination blog posts).
WHEN I CLICK ON EDIT:- It takes me here https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1071&action=edit&classic-editor
LINK:THEN WHEN I CLICK ON SITE ORIGIN EDITOR To open the row – I get to (text) https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1071&action=edit&classic-editor
AND when I change to VISUAL: https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1071&action=edit&classic-editor (iT IS EMPTY)
LINK:when I open the second row with Site origin editor it is empty?
LINK:2. all my posts that falls under Destinations is here
https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/wp-admin/edit.phpIn forum: Ascend ThemeJanuary 23, 2020 at 9:56 am #243702I have an error which crops up every so often (every few days, up to a week), just on one particular page *Login to see link , and which started suddenly several weeks ago. The content shunts hard left and the menu is scrambled. It clears when I clear the cache (I have Cache Enabler plug in) and refresh the page, but the problem returns after a few days. It’s the same on other devices and browsers. I have some custom CSS to limit content width, the same on a few other pages too. I’m puzzled why it should just be one page – I can’t see anything amiss in WP page edit.
/*sets page width of CV*/
.page-id-988 #content {
max-width: 800px;
}Thanks!
In forum: Ascend ThemeHi all
I’ve created a portfolio overview page with an image grid in the mosaic style, as demoed here:
*Login to see linkI’d like to have an image gallery on each single portfolio page, as seen here:
*Login to see linkHowever, whilst I can create a gallery using tiled and masonry settings, there doesn’t seem to be an option for a mosaic effect? Seems weird that one page has the option and another one doesn’t, I wonder if I’m missing something somewhere? Another rather annoying issue I’ve come across is that when I go to edit a gallery and it opens the media library, all the layout option dropdowns revert to ‘default’ so I need to reset them each time before resaving.
Could you also explain how the ‘Similar Projects’ in the portfolio section works? I’ve created a couple of demo project pages, but the Similar Projects section doesn’t show up on either of them.
Thank you!!

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Category Filter
Hello,
I have a Pinnacle theme installed in my eshop.
The eshop have a main category with four subcategories. In main category page, where the filters are,
when I choose a filter, it appears the products of first page only. When I am in the second page, it appears the products of second page only.
If two products of a subcategory are in the second page of main category, the products appears only in the second page, not in the first page.
If you want I can take some photos of the page.
Thank you.

January 22, 2020 at 11:45 am #243646Hey,
This targets the body tag: body.page-id-93That tag is behind the header and content area. In your theme options > advanced styling you are setting a yellow background for your header and content area.
So if you want the body tag to show it’s background you need to make the areas in front of it transparent.
For example:
body.page-id-93 { background-image:url(https://freelancedtp.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/EXTRACURRICULAR-JPG.jpg); background-repeat:no-repeat; background-attachment:fixed; background-size: cover; } body.page-id-93 .headerclass, body.page-id-93 .contentclass { background:transparent; }In forum: Membership ForumsIn reply to: Woocommerce Product Page – Elementor
January 22, 2020 at 10:40 am #243629Hi Hannah,
Thank you for your help.
Firstly the CSS for point 3 works great!
The CSS for point 2 however removes both lines:
a) Description
and
b) A perfect personalised Valentine’s Day Gift (this text will vary by product).I just want the text “Description” removed and NOT line b (or any other H2 text on the page). Is this possible?
Finally, on point 1. There must be somewhere on my site this is getting set, but it is no where I can find. Is there a way to work this out?
Kind regards

Hey,
Your url will change after it is published. This is normal. I would recommend waiting to copy/paste the link until the page is published. I don’t imagine you would be wanting to link to a draft page anyway? Is this what you mean or am I misunderstanding?Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Hamburger Menue not working
January 22, 2020 at 9:19 am #243623Hi,
on a decreased screen with hamburger menue showing, menue items appear for a second or so and are unclickable. Slider on homepage is not the issue, as the same behavior appears on *Login to see link
Site in question is: *Login to see linkSame issue occurs in the topbar hamburger menue.
Any ideas or some setting I should check.

AsmusIn forum: Ascend ThemeJanuary 22, 2020 at 9:11 am #243620Hi guys…I’m working on this page:
*Login to see linkAs you can see, I have applied the “Large” setting to the Text settings for the paragraph block containing the poem. In the editor, the text previews spaced appropriately. On the actual page, however, the line height is all messed up — the lines are smooshed together. I have tried to address this by modifying the line-height property in the CSS classes .has-large-font-size and .has-text-align-center, to no avail. Is this an Ascend issue or a general WordPress glitch that I need to track down?
