I’m still seeing the typed text on your image. And it looks like the text underneath is being added to your static homepage? Do you see it there?
By switching out of the visual editor I mean using an entirely new editor on that specific page/post such as page builder by siteorigin. You can, however, exit a page created using the visual editor and then re-enter that page to edit it using the same editor. Does that make sense?

1. What version of WordPress are you running?2. Where are the widgets missing from? You’re right in think that you can start using Kadence Blocks without it affecting other pages. Unless you have deactivated the editor you were working in previously?
3. You can’t switch back and forth between editors. So if you start editing a page using page builder by siteorigin, you need to continue using that editor. What do you mean by “log out of visual editor”?
4. When you go to profile settings what is your user role set to?

Hi Ted,
When editing the widget within your column in page builder you can open the Attributes tab and add css like the following into the CSS Styles tab:min-height: 200px;You can add CSS like that to set a min-height for all your columns. Does that work for you?Hannah

Hi Pete,
There isn’t a page template for this, but you can easily create one using the Accordion Block from Kadence Blocks. See here: https://www.kadenceblocks.com/accordion-block/
Would that work for you?Hannah
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Change Above Footer Widget for certain page
In forum: Ascend ThemeHi Team,
Something to pick up after the New Year break…
I have a site in developemnt which uses the “Above Footer Area” widget to display a shortcode (SmashBalloon Facebook posts display).
(Logon details to follow). We now need to change this for one page only to show a different display.
Is there a hook or filter to test which page we’re on and show a different “Above Footer Widget” area?
Very many thanks,
Phil.In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: FAQ Theme Layout
December 30, 2019 at 12:27 pm #242561Hello,
Is there a template/page layout for an FAQ for Ascend? In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: How to line up boxes
Hi, first off I hope all of you having a great Holiday Season. And thank you for your help over the last few years.
It’s not a major one as I know I can make the row with the same background color and take care of this issue. But with that said, what am I missing that would line up these boxes on this page. I have the same issue on about 32 sites. I have attached a screen shot and the page url. Here is the page.
Thanks in advance

December 30, 2019 at 10:45 am #242556Hey,
With some of the plugins you get a little more control if you create a new custom user role instead of modifying an existing. But I don’t think you are going to get the control you want going about in this way, if you have to lock your client from access manage options things then I suggest you go about this differently.
Instead of using the home slider option in the theme options. I suggest you create a slider in your page content using Kadence Blocks pro. With the advanced slider block, you can create a block that does the same things and would allow your client to edit without accessing “manage options” controls.

December 30, 2019 at 10:36 am #242553Hey,
Kadence Blocks has come a long way to compete with the features you find in a page builder, it improves the actual WordPress editor and what’s so great is that is adds only the code needed to run the blocks you use, it’s really light and good for performance. At this point, I suggest using it over any page builder for the performance improvements and longevity of the platform. Gutenberg is about to expand to full site editing. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t think Page builders are good. Because of caching and good servers you can get a site to perform really well with any page builder and if you like a specific one you don’t need to switch.
All of our demos are currently being recreated to use Blocks and with that some new videos soon.
I’m going to try to create a whole video series similar to what’s shown here: https://www.kadencewp.com/blog/video-building-with-kadence-blocks/
I’m sorry it’s been unintuitive to get started, it’s an awkward time for WordPress because so much is changing. There is an “old” way of doing things that is still very good and creates great sites but there is so much around Gutenberg and how it’s going to change things that it creates confusion because full site editing in Gutenberg is not yet available.
However I suggest you work in Kadence Blocks and Kadence Blocks pro, if you get stuck let me know I can help and point you in the right direction.
If you have a specific question you are trying to figure out let me know and I can direct you to the best link.

In your staff page settings choose to show the “content” and not the excerpt, then your styling created in the post will show on the grid.Ben

Thank you, I downloaded “members” because “user role editor” does not work well.
When I want to modify the role of my client and I check “manage options” in “General”, it gives access to too many things: “tools”, “settings”, “appearance”, “duplicator”, “yoast “…
Is there a capacity that I can create in this plugin to give access only to the options of the pinnacle theme? it’s just to change the text of the home slider in “home page header” …
THanksIn forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Modify user access
Hi
Do you know if I can allow my client to access the theme options only in the back office of the site, without having pages, articles, theme updates etc …
I do not want to give him access administrator, but just the possibility of going to change some parameters in the options of the themes.
Thanks for your aid

December 29, 2019 at 3:22 pm #242540So…it’s a year later and I’m new to all of this. I started intuitively using blocks and the Virtue premium theme options and had some success, but felt I was not using Kadence Virtue to its potential. I began watching the tutorials and then got really confused about page builder, which I could not find at first. Once I found it I was not sure if it was the best way to go.
I want to design with simplicity in mind. I know only a little about code, but have heard that page builders can add unnecessary code. Is Kadence Blocks – Gutenberg Page Builder Toolkit one of those page builders that clutters up code, or is it something that just improves the actual WP editor? Is Kadence Blocks Pro something that works along with it for more enhancements?
I’m excited about the Kadence products and want to give you feedback to improve the user experience. It feels to me like you want that. Just coming into this and watching the videos is a little confusing. I’m just starting to understand when to use the WP dashboard menu and when to use the theme option menu. It hasn’t been as intuitive as I thought it would be. I’ll keep working with the knowledge and support sections. Please share any links or tips you think would help with learning how to work with WP and Kadence themes. Thank you! Angela

December 28, 2019 at 2:16 pm #242529In your theme options,> page settings turn on “Enable comments on pages”
Then in each page you want comments make sure you turn them on in the page as well.
