Yes, when you transfer from the visual editor to pagebuilder your content will turn into a visual editor widget. Just note that you can’t switch back and forth between editors.

How are you adding your banner? A widget has to be added into a widget area. A shortcode can be added into any content area. Looks like getyourguide plugin hasn’t been updated in over a year. I would recommend using a different plugin.

The home blog uses a different class than the blog template. This css should work for you:

header.home_blog_title, .home_blog .entry-content {
    margin: 0 !important;
}
.home_blog article header h4 {
    margin-bottom: 0;
    padding: 0 10px 10px;
}
.home_blog .entry-content p {
    margin-bottom: 0;
}
header.home_blog_title, .home_blog .entry-content {
    background: #eee;
    padding: 0 10px 10px;
}

If you’re using the block editor you can use the icon block to add icons to your page. Does that work for you?

Hey Hannah,

I’ve noticed that the snippets from my latest posts disappeared/not showing on my home page (bottom) where it used to appear. There is only a big white blank space But when I click there it is taking me to a PERU draft post (which by mistake was Published before its completely finished), so I’ve changed it to private (as I can’t seem to change it to. Don’t know how to rectify it? Thanks in advance.

Hey Hannah,

I have the page builder plugin installed but as I work in the visual editor, I need to revert to page builder and when I click on Page builder, there appears a pop-up asking me, Do you want to copy the existing info over to page builder? and I rather ask than cause an issue.

What is the difference between a widget and a banner when it comes to affiliates? For example, I can add the code of World Nomads for a Quote banner but with Getyourguide it is not working.

There seems to be a theme conflict. The products in my “Charms Product Category are not showing up in the shop category gallery. The page numbers are at the bottom of the page. I can find the products when doing a site search. When I switch to another theme like StoreFront. The charm products show up just fine. What do I need to adjust to get the products to show up?

Here is a link to a page that I it works to modify with css. This is a normal page running with the blog grid template.

Here is the home page, were the css do not work despite I have used the blog grid template. Also I have use 16:9 format on the “featured image”. That works on the page above, but not on this on.

Do you know how I can have the filters displays like they are on https://www.veganwinebox.co.uk/shop/ ? I’m looking to have my archive page look similar to this mockup.

The filter dropdown menus should be aligned across the page on desktop and tablet screen.

Also, how can I set all of the buttons to have a 5px rounder corner?

The only way I can think of is to literally list each topic in the footer and then link each one back to category page. Talk about labor intensive. <laughing> This format preference is not critical. But I would prefer to see it alphabetized by columns, allowing the words to wrap to the next column like the image I sent.

Hey Mimmie,
You would need to use a page builder plugin to add widgets to a page. Then you could add the visual editor widget that way.

Hi

We have fixed this now by reverting the Theme update (the plugin updates were a red herring). The Theme update that caused the issue is: Ascend Premium 1.9.4 (1.9.3 does not have this issue).

I have attached a screenshot of what happened to our page:

If you compare this to the live shop you can see that the product archives template was messed up by this theme update.

The issue also exists on our dev site (I have not reverted the Theme there) so let me know if you need access to that to see what is happening.

I’m wondering if you can add revision support to the custom post types for the Virtue theme? Example:

Hi,

we’ve had a Kadence form block on our contact page for a while and it always worked. Until now. We got reports today that when users hit the form submit button on the page, the form simply reloads, nothing happening. When I disable the reCAPTCHA option of the form, it starts working again. Re-enabling captcha and it stops working. So clearly an issue with reCAPTCHA. I am guessing a bug might have been introduced in the recent plugin update?

There are plugins that allow you to load the main content of a page through ajax and replace it with another page content. This is usually not a better user experience and often creates issues because within the content of each page, there may be things that are supposed to initiate with javascript on page load, not to mention different pages load different CSS and javascript. Overall the reason you don’t see this much on websites is because it’s not a good solution.

And if you have an issue with page speed, your header and footer are not likely the problem anyway, so you would still have an issue with page speed.

For page speed you need to look at what server you are using, optimizing your content, and making sure you are serving cached files.

Once you have that figured out and working well, then you can look at a plugin like this for preloading pages which won’t use ajax but will make navigating on your site faster: https://wordpress.org/plugins/flying-pages/

Post a link to your site and I may be able to point to some ways you can improve your load time.

Hey,
The background image you’re adding is taking me to a page not found. Can you link to the image you want as your header background? When you set this from Theme Options > Advanced Styling > Header Background it should fall behind your secondary menu as well. Is this not the case for you?
