Topic: CSS to remove title please
Hi, can you please provide me with the CSS to remove the title of all of the posts in my podcast category please? See: *Login to see link The word “podcast” appears in the banner image.
Also, is there a way to use the featured post image so it appears in the excerpt images on the category page, but not in the post itself, as I want to use a banner, and not have the featured image right underneath it, as in the page above?
Many thanks!
Janine

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Membership ForumsHi Ben,
I understand that you need elements to debug this problem. Unfortunately, our company does not allow us to provide our login details even though I am personally convinced that you are all very professional people at Kadence 😉!
For information, this product page uses a Template (Kadence Woo Template Builder 1.1.6). But anyway the error also appears with the default WC template.
Moreover, Kadence Blocks is not in question either, we do not use it on this page (and even with KB plugin disabled the error appears).By disabling “Product Gallery” (Kadence Woocommerce Extras 1.6.1), the problem disappears but it is logical considering the error…
Here are our Product Gallery settings:
- Choose a gallery type = Thumbnails Below Image
- Product image width = 400
- Product image ratio = Square 1:1
- Thumbnail columns visible = 5
- Product thumbnail image ratio = Square 1:1
- Slider transition = Slide
- Slider transition speed = 500
- Slider auto play = True
- Slider pause time = 12000
- Show slide arrows on product image = False
- Show Caption overlay on images = False
- Enable Product Image Hover Zoom = On
- Show image magnification = Magnify window is beside of image
Note that this error has no impact on the functioning of the page.
Do not hesitate if you need more information.
Thanks,
SylvainIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: API License Activation not working?
October 23, 2019 at 5:27 pm #239361I strongly suggest you get another hosting provider.
A good example is even on the dashboard of your site if you look here: http://www.wheeloflifecentre.co.uk/NEW-WOLC2019/wp-admin/index.php
The SiteOrigin Page Builder News widget gives a curl error.
If your host isn’t going to set you up with WordPress standards then you really shouldn’t be paying them. And if support isn’t going to acknowledge there is an issue then you’re going to be wasting time trying to do anything as this will not just affect import but will effect you with each step of using your site.
In terms of import files, you can access here, it’s farily tricky since the content is stored differently so there are theme options data, content data (images that have to be pulled in through that) and then widget data and slider data.
import content file: https://kadence.design/importer/ascend-premium/church_site/demo_content.xml
import widget file: https://kadence.design/importer/ascend-premium/church_site/widget_data.json
import theme options file: https://kadence.design/importer/ascend-premium/church_site/theme_options.jsonIn forum: Virtue ThemeThanks, Ben. This did move the header consistently to the bottom of the page, but I’m still seeing the issue with the footer now covering up the content as the height of the window is reduced. This is not just a theoretical problem, since on my Macbook Air 13″ this means the images in the grid are half obscured when the window is normal width.
I’ll post screenshots with and without the CSS to show what I mean.

October 23, 2019 at 4:39 pm #239355I certainly recommend using lazy load, for example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/rocket-lazy-load/
But that wouldn’t be the same thing since your page is not even loading. What is in your php error logs?

This reply has been marked as private.October 23, 2019 at 4:21 pm #239349In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeUnfortunately this CSS is causing a number of other problems:
1. in Desktop view, the copyright line at the bottom of the page gets cut off.
2. in Tablet view, the white space still appears below the footer (I assume since this is a media query only for min-width: 992px).
3. in wide Desktop view on a page with two rows, the bottom half of the second row gets half-covered by the footer when you shorten the height of the window. This doesn’t happen when this custom CSS is not applied.I’ve tried adjusting the padding-bottom and height percentages, but that creates different problems without solving the problems above.
I’ll post screenshots in a private reply.

Ok. It got fixed by updating the theme. But one of my category has two many sub categories and each item has several images. That page is crashing. Apparently it shows that its waiting for the “google weather api” but that api is working fine on other category pages. Does the theme has lazy load, so that the images should load while scrolling down? Please advise.
In forum: Virtue ThemeHey Rebecca,
That is happening because there is not enough content on the page to push it down. This post explains: https://www.kadencewp.com/knowledge-base/footer-always-at-bottom/
Hope it’s helpful!Hannah

October 23, 2019 at 9:22 am #239326Hey,
Yes best to turn off galleries in your Yoast sitemap settings unless you plan to make galleries and want those pages public, if you create a gallery and add it to your website on a page or use using a shortcode then I would still suggest you keep the galleries out of the sitemap so you don’t have duplicate content.Ben

Blog Post Summary Default was not set to show an image. I have set it to Portrait Image.
Whereas, the posts already have feature images set.
But the category page still not showing images. In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Featured Image not showing on POSTS under the tittle

sorry if my questions are confusing, basically I have 2 questions.
1. Is it possible that STANDARD POSTS will have the FEATURED IMAGE under the page tittle, just like IMAGE POSTS?
2. Is there any way to define a maximum size for the FEATURED IMAGE so that if I upload Large images, the theme will resize the FEATURED IMAGE so they don’t look too large?
Thanks,
Marco

Hannah thanks, but I don’t mean the background image, I mean the FEATURED image, the one that goes under the PAGE TITTLE.
