In forum: Virtue ThemeOctober 17, 2019 at 1:47 pm #239077Hello Hannah,
I’m confused because I have tried clearing cache and tried from Firefox, google chrome and chromium and more on my phone as well and still have the same issue on my end? Also I have disabled the plugin as you have suggested, and it turns out that it makes the front page widgets not work as well as other issues.
Note: if i use the search from the menu, in spite of it saying no posts were found, it accurately gives the about and contact search results but clicking on them yields the same page with no post found!

Thanks. I thought I had responded to this already, but don’t see my reply. I’ll try again.
So you can’t center a video? You just created the illusion of centering by adding a column on the left and right? Also it doesn’t autoplay. I added the short code YouTube option and inserted it in front of your link. But my shortcode did not autoplay. I took your link out, hit “preview changes” and it autoplayed. I updated the page and then hit “view page” and now it doesn’t autoplay anymore. Is there some caching going on? Will it only autoplay once? Seems a bit odd. I hit F5 once and it still did not autoplay. I even added a new tab in my Chrome browser, loaded my website and hit the “Why Wheelhouse?” menu item and it still does not autoplay. Below is the short code I put in the place of your link:
[kad_youtube url=”https://youtu.be/_zi6udD6Ts8″ autoplay=”true”]
Hmm? I must be missing something. /Bob
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeOctober 17, 2019 at 3:30 am #239049Hello,
The theme used is Virtue. I have just installed all the recommended kadence plugins such as Kadence Custom Fonts and Kadence Blocks Pro to see if that would help. Page Builder by SiteOrigin and Black Studio TinyMCE Widget have been in operation since the start.
Seems like the issue occured when updating the PHP to 7.3 from 5.4. and updated to wp 5.2.3 but it was not recognized until now since the widgets on the front page were working fine. Everything in french seems to be working fine. Rolling back PHP to 5.6 from the hosting site did not help.
After updating, the website didn’t load with error code HTTP ERROR 500 and disabling all plugins worked. It seemed that a slider plugin did have to be disabled, Slider Revolution, for the website to work.
We are using loco-translate and polylang. There have not been any modifications with those plugins.
I have included images showing the menu not working and working in french. There is no primary menu.

October 16, 2019 at 2:23 pm #239032Hey,
When adding a video you really don’t need to (and shouldn’t) add a slider. Add a slider only when you want a slider. For just a video you can simply place the video in an editor widget.I updated the page so you can see an example and I’ve put the video in the center so you can see that as well.

In forum: Membership ForumsOctober 16, 2019 at 1:10 pm #239017Hey,
Thanks for posting,I’ll consider adding an option. Just so you understand the logic of why it’s defaulted the way it is:
Because tabs always have one “open” adding an order with all closed doesn’t apply to most situations.
And because usually, tabs hold more content then accordions ( they are designed better for that ) it’s set to the best usability for mobile in such cases as accordion feel is the desired output. It’s usually really bad for usability if you auto close large accordions because the page size would then change dramatically which creates the usability issue and it’s worse with mobile because of how long the content can appear. It makes it hard for the user to know where they are on the page and can appear like they were “auto” scrolled somewhere because of the size change.

In forum: Membership ForumsOctober 16, 2019 at 11:21 am #239014I am currently using a tab block on my site that I would like to display as an accordion on mobile, however the accordion view in the tab block settings does not seem to have the same features on the accordion block that says “Panes close when another opens” and “Start with all panes collapsed”. Since I have both of those settings on I am using an accordion block that only displays when the screen width is 767px or below, and a tab block that only displays when the screen width is 768px or wider. Is there anyway you can add the ability to turn on those settings for “Panes close when another opens” and “Start with all panes collapsed” under the accordion view of the tab block? If possible I would greatly appreciate it so that I won’t have to have two copies of the same exact content on the page editor.

October 16, 2019 at 9:56 am #239000Hi,
I also had the same occur when updating Woo Templates. I have updated Woo Templates (Plugin Folder: kadence-woo-template-builder) using the standard WordPress update method and after it was completed all references and templates for Woo Templates were removed from the site and Elementor Pro is now in the plugins directory but disabled showing version 1.1.3. The front end product pages were no longer using their templates an were a mess.
WordPress version 5.2.4, Latest Virtue Premium theme.
I’m currently attempting to manually roll back to the previous version using a backup.
Any update or patch version of Woo Templates would be appreciated.New Update: After looking at the plugin files in yesterdays backup, I found them to be very different. The plugin folder name is the same but files seem to be very different… now they reference Elementor Pro instead of Woo Templates.

Just to confirm, you’re referring to the Kadence Woo Template Builder plugin, correct? And you have page builder by siteorigin running? Or do you mean Kadence WooCommerce Elementor?
Have you tried downloading a fresh install, deleting your current version and then uploading the new? https://www.kadencewp.com/my-account/my-api-downloads/Hannah

I am using the AMP-plugin on ascend-premium theme. Google crawler is now claiming to have found a syntax-error in amp-custom style.
No other information given.
All AMP pages are marked as having this problem.

In forum: Membership ForumsGood Morning,
I have just tried to update Woo templates to version 1.1.3 and then when I refresh I find Woo templates has been removed from the plugins and Elementor Pro is now there but disabled.
I tried this again after restoring a backup and can confirm that as soon as I update Woo templates plugin to version 1.1.3 and refresh the page it all happens again.
If you need any more info please ask.
Thanks,
AnthonyIn forum: Pinnacle ThemeI am using Pinnacle Premium and Site Origin Page Builder on a single page site with a menu employing anchor links. The anchors are set at the beginning of the appropriate row. Nothing unusual but when you click a link and it takes you to the appropriate content, the sticky header obscures the top of that content. I have looked through your knowledge base and searched your forum and found nothing that helps. I see that other people have had this problem. I tried putting my anchors higher on the page to compensate. This works on a full size screen but is a disaster on mobile devices. Do you have a solution that works?

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Blocks within blocks
Oh, I’m sure I’ll have more questions! I’m just getting started trying to figure out how to improve my website and move more an more pages to the blocks.
For example, I’m trying to simplify the structure and remove some content that appears twice. An existing page has the widgets SiteOrigin Editor, SiteOrigin Slider, and SiteOrigin Editor all in one row. I cannot seem to center the Slider as there are no controls to do it, it seems to be left justified. I’ve tried the Kadence Pro Slider. I’ve even tried just the Editor with shortcode added and none of it seems to be able to center the video. Also, I can’t seem to control it’s height and/or width. If I make a Kadence Pro Slider (currently #5 is the slider in question), I can’t control the height or width. If I make it full width, then the top and bottom of the video get cut off.
The page in question is
https://www.cagesplus.com/backyard-batting-cage/
I’d like to try and convert this and other pages) to blocks too, but since this is live, am taking it slow! /Bob
P.S. You may be sorry you asked if that was all I was having trouble with!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Hide Kadence Slider Control Panel from Non Admins?
This should do what you want – you can basically hide whatever you want – add the following to your functions file in the theme;
// remove unwanted Left admin menu items // https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/136058/how-to-remove-admin-menu-pages-inserted-by-plugins function remove_menus(){ if (!(current_user_can('administrator'))) { // only remove for non admin remove_menu_page('edit.php?post_type=staff'); remove_menu_page('edit.php?post_type=testimonial'); remove_menu_page('edit.php?post_type=portfolio'); remove_menu_page( 'kadenceslider' ); } } add_action( 'admin_menu', 'remove_menus' );In forum: Ascend ThemeOctober 15, 2019 at 4:36 pm #238981Hey,
In the home page basic slider, the captions mention are the “title” and “subtitle” boxes that are right below where you set the image, that slider pulls from that theme options content and not from the media library image captions.I hope that helps,
Ben
