In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben / team
Hope you are keeping well.
I have a question regarding using the Kadence slider pro – I am wanting to embed a youtube video on the home page at full size in the background and add a text layer / button on top.
I cannot provide a login for you to view as it’s being developed locally (I could provide screen shots if required)
The issue is as follows;
1) Youtube branding / watch later / share text – appears briefly. I understand it’s not possible to remove this, but what do you recommend would be the best way to hide it – for example, by enlarging the video viewport size, so that the top and bottom YouTube margins are hidden?
I tried adjusting .ytplayer-player-inline css but it appears the sizing of the video is dynamic…. (but not responsive) – which leads me to the next point….
2) The background YouTube video is not responsive.
Here are the settings I’m using in the slider;
Slider Grid Height: Full
Slider Grid Width: Full
Background position: center center (not sure if relevant)
Background repeat: no repeat (not sure if relevant)
Background size: cover (not sure if relevant)
Video Ratio: 16/9 (have tried all ratios but 16/9 appears best on all screen sizes, except for the above points made)If you can’t help with Virtue suggestions – perhaps you’ll know of an alternative slider that could achieve it?
Greetings

*This issue was only reproducible on google chrome, this scenario works on firefox.
When my mobile header comes into view on the desktop after a resize, the page content is cut off by the height of the mobile menu. If I refresh the page content in this scenario it is adjusted correctly.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Start in full-screen using Google Chrome
2) resize window so mobile header appearsIn forum: Membership ForumsIn reply to: Woo Commerce Mix and Match extension integration

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn forum: Ascend ThemeHi,
I need to hide all tags and categories from blog posts on blog page, latest blog posts, features, etc.
Is that possible? <laughing> I laugh because I have written several codes and for the life of me none of them work. I have also read through the forum and found several that didn’t work for me either. <sigh>
Any suggestions?
Thank you,

I know I can use a shortcode, but here is the problem. If I want another slide on the homepage near the bottom, a shortcode will not allow it to work like the one at the top of the page. Does that make sense?
I would like the option to use it on additional pages, if possible.
Your thoughts?

July 23, 2019 at 10:07 am #231560Hey,
Lets say by default you want all 4 column rows to become 2 columns on a tablet, pagebuilder does let you do this it just doesn’t add extra controls to make it more unique. In your settings > page builder. Click layout tab. Then make sure Use Tablet Layout is checked.
Next scroll down to “Mobile Width” and there set the number to 767.
Try that, in most cases that will create the effect you want.

July 23, 2019 at 9:51 am #231556Hey, In your product page you had not set the template to “use this products pagebuilder” which I just did and it’s now showing. Can you let me know if it’s showing all you want?
Ben

I’m working with Elementor without issue. You could also try page builder by siteorigin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/siteorigin-panels/

Hi Tom,
To my knowledge, there isn’t a way to create css that would correctly affect all your page builder rows with columns.
Have you worked with the new WordPress editor? Our Kadence Blocks plugin provides a row layout block that allows you to customize the column layout for tablets and mobile. https://www.kadenceblocks.com/row-layout-block/
Elementor page builder also allows you to customize your columns for tablets.
Hope that’s helpful!Hannah

You can’t/shouldn’t prevent it. So I added a little code that removes “ps” from the anchor string, so you need to add that to your links, then it will still open the tab but the anchor won’t match anything on the page so nowhere to scroll.
