Hey,
WordPress provides a built-in function for this actually. In your edit page, under the Document tab then under Status and Visibility, you should see a checkbox beside “Stick to the top of the blog”. Just select that for the post you want to feature.
Hope that helps!Hannah
In forum: Membership ForumsIn reply to: Single Product image and sidebar
From Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Images you have your product image width set to 600px. Decrease this to something like 200 and it will decrease the height of your product images.
In Theme Options > Product Settings you had the sidebar default turned on. I turned this off and the sidebar is no longer showing on your product pages.
Hope that helps!Hannah

Hi Ben
Ignore my previous comments – although I’d cleared the cache on my pc I think it must have been uncleared on the server, the page now loads fine, but I still have the error messages at the bottom of the page:
Warning: include(): Filename cannot be empty in /var/sites/v/visitpewseyvale.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/base.php on line 17
Warning: include(): Failed opening ” for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php-5.6.37-flock/lib/php’) in /var/sites/v/visitpewseyvale.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/base.php on line 17Page – https://www.visitpewseyvale.co.uk/events/venues/the-farm-cookery-school/
Best wishes

Hi Ben
Well, it’s been a bit of day! As you will have seen, I now also have a problem with editing some pages, so in order to troubleshoot, I used the Health-Check plugin. It screwed up the website so we have gone to back up. I still can’t edit pages, but I notice now that I get a whole stream of errors if I go into the link I sent you above. So sadly I still don’t have a working Events by Venue page. I don’t know why this suddenly won’t work at all by just going to last night’s back up. Any ideas?
Thanks
SusieIn forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Full width home page slider
May 17, 2019 at 7:46 am #225907Hi Kadence community. We have been working with Kadence themes for years now. Everything ok with Virtue Premium, but last year we purchased Ascend premium for our site. And I cannot make full width home page slider. Also tried with kadence slider pro and it doesn’t go. I’ve checked full width slider in kadence slider menu, but it doesn’t work. Our site: *Login to see link . Kindly ask for any solution.
In forum: Ascend ThemeHI Guys
How can I take this image and make it full height on a screen, and ideally behind teh footer items?
basically remove the content block and so the the image is the page, and no footer except the social media and copyright.
I thought there might be a method different than using kadence slider.link in follow up post private
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben
This isn’t on all pages, but there are a few that are impacted.
When I go in to try and edit the page, I get the following message:
Invariant Violation: Minified React error #31; visit *Login to see link for the full message or use the non-minified dev environment for full errors and additional helpful warnings.

at Z (*Login to see linkI have had a look online at other forums where people have had the same error and as a result of what I read, loaded the plugin Health-Check to enable the changing of the theme and deactivation of plugins to see if there is a conflict. I went into troubleshooting mode and changed the Virtue Theme for 2019 theme and then went into the page edit to test whether I got the error and it worked fine. Therefore, I think it must be an issue with the theme. Please could you advise?
Many thanks
SusieIn forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Google Maps confusion
HI Ben and Hannah and team
For the maps on the home page and elsewhere, do we have to use an api that a client puts in their credit card for?
We’ve been recommending clients get their own api settings, and we know you put in your cc info and you basically get enough credits that its free.We have a site I”ll put in a private reply, and the contact form has a map. Just want to make sure it’ snot going to disappear.
thanks!

Yes, our themes are fully Gutenberg ready! You should not need any CSS, unless you were wanting specific styling.
We have also created a page builder toolkit for the new WordPress editor. Check it out here: https://www.kadenceblocks.com/Hannah

May 16, 2019 at 11:40 am #225837In your page scroll down till you see “Post Title and Subtitle”
In that section under “Padding Top” what do you have? What have you tried?

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: numbered (and bulleted) list and text not showing
May 16, 2019 at 10:59 am #225831To be clear, it would show up if you remove the css hannah pointed out. We have no control over the css that gets added on your site. Once you remove that css the list will show on your page.

May 16, 2019 at 9:51 am #225828Your login menu item with the modal is broken for me, I couldn’t login there.
Anytime I try to access any admin page it doesn’t let me and redirects me.
If I try to logout to test there is a 502 gateway error.
This tells me you have a lot of issues with the way the server is configured and the plugins you are loading.

In forum: Virtue ThemeI am using virtue child theme. I want to add the post date to my testimonial grid. I found this from Ben:
Where are you wanting this date? if on the single testimonial post page you can add this to the templates/content-singletestimonail.php page:
<?php echo get_the_date(‘j M Y’); ?>
I would like to add the date just past the name, name – date.
Is there a way to use the child theme to override the theme file and add the date, so that I do not need to modify the base theme and will continue to function with theme updates. I am running the latest version of Virtue Premium.
