“I thought that anything you do in Theme Options changed on all of your pages.” That is not true. All settings for your posts/pages can be overridden from the edit pages. The homepage is actually a bit different from your other pages. In your edit pages under Post Title and Subtitle you can add more top and bottom padding to your page titles.

After update on main page instead list of posts i receive open some very old post (2017year) . What’s wrong?

Could you please answer my first question: why sometimes the last post doesn’t appear when I open a certain category? I’ve sent a screenshot: on the left it’s how it appears (sometimes) on the right it shows how it should appear (for instance if i Reload the page). Please open a category and check how it works for you. For instance: https://happyfrogtravels.com/category/guides/

1 As for the mobile phone margins, I’ve added the code and it’s not working. Any other options?
2 The desktop one is ok. I am not gonna change it.

Hi Hannah

I had already downloaded Kadence Blocks and activated everything but didn’t know anything about it but since you mentioned it I have been reading tutorials and there are videos to watch I will have to get through the leaning curve.

There is something that I do need help with I just can’t figure it out. My banner on my home page is the right height but the rest of the pages it is real shiny. For instance here is the Home page https://denaliwindowcleaning.com/ Now here is another page https://denaliwindowcleaning.com/contact/

I uploaded that banner in page title under “Page Header Default Background” I have “Show the page title by default” turned on. I thought that anything you do in Theme Options changed on all of your pages.

Hey,
It will affect the ranking of that url. I suggest using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/safe-redirect-manager/

To redirect the old url to your new url after you set the page to child. That way google will keep the ranking of that one page.

I’m finding it quite confusing to try and get font colors set properly. There are many places to set font colors, and no documentation as to precisely how various settings are used.
(1) Theme Options vs. Appearance, Customize – do these set the same underlying values (to the degree that they make the same settings visible)?
(2) Basic Styling: Where do these 4 settings get used, and when are they overridden by other settings?
(3) Is there documentation of ALL the places font colors can be set, and which ones take precedence over others?
(4) I have a button in the footer colummn 4 widget area using HTML from Constant Contact. In Appearance, Widgets or Appearance, Customize, Widgets the button preview reflects the color settings used in the HTML. But what shows on the displayed page is not the same. What am I missing?

In general, it would be really helpful to me to have more documentation of the meaning/effect of the settings available with the theme, perhaps organized by effect – something like: * for font sizes, go to xxx; for font colors go to xxx, yyy, zzz; for background colors go to xxx, etc.

Hey John,
The algorithm that Google uses to rank pages is pretty unclear, but we do know that content is the biggest thing. So as long as your child pages have strong content I don’t imagine this will have much effect. If Ben has any more insight he will chime in.

There isn’t a built-in function to add the cart to your secondary menu, but you could add a custom link menu item linking to your cart page and add a cart icon to it. Then you could use css to remove the cart text. Would that work for you?

Hi Hannah.

I believe I did exactly what you mentioned and the settings at the link you gave me.

No luck.

When viewing the portfolio page I get Sorry, no results found. I re-saved my permalinks twice and still received the same message.

Could any Customizer or Theme Options settings cause this to happen?

I also tried Elementor pro with no success. There is something fundamental I am missing.

I suggest asking ultimate member support, they should have a widget or shortcode you can add to the header widget area that would output a login you can style similar to what you want. And I’m pretty sure they would facilitate the redirect to member pages.

Hey Jerry,
A project is a portfolio item. So you need to create portfolio items and give them each featured images. Then create a portfolio page using the portfolio grid page template. Then your portfolio items will fill the page. This may be helpful: https://kb.kadencethemes.com/knowledge-base/creating-a-portfolio-page/

I’ve tested some member plugins but they all work with a widget or popup, wich is quite big, (forgot password option and others)
At the moment I use the “ultimate member” plugin.
My client specifically wants just a username and password in the right of the topbar. And also When people are logged in once and they come back later they directly have to be redirected to a specific member page.
to put it in short: Just like on facebook. First time visit = login in topbar on the right and after that always directly to your own page.

Is there a way to fix this?
