May 6, 2019 at 6:36 am #224818Hey,
This can happen because of some other plugin installed on your site that is outputing early. It’s hard to guess which without seeing your site.A simple workaround is simply to upload the plugin then not activate on that upload page. instead, click on plugins and then activate from the plugins page.
If that doens’t work for you send a login and I can activate it for you.

May 6, 2019 at 5:30 am #224805Hey,
Sorry for the delay, My brother got married this weekend so it’s been a hectic family time and I missed this post.I don’t have much to go from because I can’t access the site admin (it’s telling me the password is not correct), But based on what you are writing and based on the last topic you created which I just re-read, it sounds like a resource issue with your php settings or a permissions issue with being able to create resized versions of your images for the shop page. Before you had data loss in your database from images and I was able to prove that in your wordpress admin.
The PHP error log would be my suggestion for how to narrow down what is going on. There are also some settings you can turn off (the theme image crop for archive pages) that would easily tell us if that guess is correct.
The guess is just based on you adding images to the shop page and that causing the page to not load.
I am still with family but get notifications directly for this topic and will do my best to be checking in throughout the day. If you can check the login I would be happy to do some testing. Also if you would like me to solve the issue then you can send me server access and I can do my best to fix it assuming your server is at all decent.
I feel pretty confident in saying this issue is not black and white and caused by the theme. It certainly seems like the conflict is with the specific server you are on. I understand that many themes do not request that WordPress create some extra image sizes and that in that simple request it’s that part that is breaking which is why you can activate another theme and it work.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Blending of Product Images on Mobile Devices
Hi Ben,
I used the CSS and it worked fine for 3 weeks. Yesterday, I checked the website and the products on a laptop and the images were misaligned again in the way that it covered the buy now button as well as the next page buttons at the bottom. I was about to send you a message about it but wanted to update the latest plugin first Kadence WooCommerce Extras. The update failed. However, the images are now aligned again both on mobile devices and the laptop. Of course, I don’t have a clue what’s going on.here’s the address: https://www.bhsupplements.co.uk
Thanks in advance.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Home page blog options
Hi,
I would like to format the home page blog post grid differently than the default theme settings. I would like a blog post grid item where the featured image comes first and the heading, text and date comes underneath (a vertical instead of a horisontal format). Is this possible at all to achieve?

Hey Greta,
Sorry for the delay! Have you tested this widget on any other pages? Is the same thing happening?
I would first suggest updating your page builder and site origin widgets bundle plugins. You’re also on a pretty old version of the theme. Please update that as well and let me know if there’s no change after doing so.Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Team,
I have a scrolling gallery at the top of each page setup using a shortcode:
[gallery ids="248,249,250,251,252,253,254,255,257,258,260,261,262,311,314" type="carousel" columns="5" img_height=200 speed=4000 scroll=1 lightboxsize="large"]Some of the sports club badges are rectangular so the normal behaviour of the theme is to crop them to square.
Is there a way to prevent that crop for certain rectangular images? If not, I guess I need to modify the guilty images and stick them on a square background.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Phil.In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Blog style grid
May 5, 2019 at 1:26 pm #224760Hey,
You can hide the text with this css:.page-id-522 .kad_blog_item .entry-content { display: none; }That would just apply to that page. There isn’t a way with css to limit the text but you can use a custom excerpt and then add in just want you want to show for those posts.

May 5, 2019 at 12:36 pm #224755Hey,
I just did a test and I show that if I’m using a multi day event it already shows the dates with a dash from the start to finish. Some styles need to be changed/tweaked for those pages but I can’t see the issue with the dates. Can you send me a login to your site.

May 5, 2019 at 12:28 pm #224754Hey,
So by default when you set the carousel to 6 columns it will use three on mobile. What you have to do to be able to control this is add the carousel through the page itself, either using a shortcode.[carousel type="featured-products" items="10" columns="6" xscol="2" sscol="1"]Or in the block editor using the Product Carousel block.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben,
I’m overwhelmed by the number of spam emails getting into my spam folder through Virtue Contact Form. I’m worried if it harms the reputation of my domain. Because some spammers are using the emails of my domain to send their spam messages.
For example, I often see emails coming from [email protected] to [email protected] with lots of spam words and links in the email messages.
I don’t know whether a domain can be harmed by sending spam content to its own email addresses. Could you please make your contact form a little smarter?
Because the simple math doesn’t seem to be working very well. Please don’t suggest another plugin to handle this. I’m sick of WordPress Plugins. They also break the style of my theme. Like JetPack always seems to break the style of the Post Comment button on my blog posts. I avoid Plugins whenever possible if something can be solved by adding or modifying some code.
One more thing I also like to mention that I do not use your Kadence ReCaptcha. For I already have Invisible ReCaptcha installed in my WordPress site. It provides a function for custom forms which I then added to Virtue Contact From before the closing </form> tag as it was instructed by the Plugin Author. The Invisible ReCaptcha loads and stays at the bottom-left of my site when I visit my contact page. But I don’t think it does any good like the simple math.
Here are some of the things you may want to pay attention to.
1. Please change the Name field and split it into First Name and Last Name in the same row. Auto-capitalization of the initial letters of these fields will be much appreciated to get clean records.
2. The email field must not validate emails when anybody/spammers are putting an email address of the domain rather than using their own email. For example, Email field of the site *Login to see link should not allow anybody to use [email protected] as their form address. Employees don’t use visitor’s contact form/lead generation form to communicate with their team members. I don’t think it would be an issue for the people having their work email addresses on that domain.
3. Please add a Subject field to your Virtue theme’s contact form. It makes the sender’s purpose clear and helps the recipient prioritize tasks without reading the whole message. As a matter of fact, I don’t understand why this is missing in the first place. It wasn’t something I expected from an intelligent team like yours who have gone ahead and created fine things that other developers usually miss or overlook. Indeed, you have good taste.
4. Do not validate an email when the message field contains links in it. Give the visitor an error message that links are not allowed in the message.
5. Could you implement an Anti-spam Honeypot in your Virtue Contact Form? I don’t know whether it really helps. A lot of techies are talking about it. It’s funny that spam bots are trapped in a hidden field where they are able to work their way around the Simple Math or ReCaptcha.
As always I’m grateful for your generous support. I also think it is necessary to inform you about these problems we existing users are facing. So you can make it better and attract more people to your business who pay attention to these details.
Thank you again for your continuous support!

Additional Info:
I just noticed something interesting….on this particular site in question, I’m using Virtue theme with the Slider Pro shortcode in Page Content PageBuilder on home page.
On the other site (Ascend theme), I have no idea how the slider I’m using is showing up on the homepage, because I’m using the Church Theme Demo as my template and just changing content. I don’t see a shortcode used on homepage content.
Dazed and confused. 😉
Thank you,
Pam -
