Hi, I would ask if Kadence Blocks works only on Gutenberg Editor or if is possible use it on other editors (for example Page Builder)…I love Split Content second version on this demo and this blocks but I don’t like Gutenberg (I’m not able to use it 🙁 ). Thank you!

    Hey,
In that example you should use the blog page template, not a shortcode, then you would get pagination. Is there a reason you are not using a page template?

In most cases using a shortcode that tries to create pagination would break the main loop of a page and create broken pages.

    Hi, in this page we use your [blog_posts type=”normal” orderby=”date” cat=”approfondimenti” items=”200″]

we had to put the items=”200″ because the shortcode stop showing post after the 4th post…

The question is: why is not present a pagination? shoudn’t be more usefull?

    thank you very much

Excellent! Thank you Ben. I’m working with a page, and I’ve installed the Kadence Blocks plugins (I must have deleted them at some point). I’ll leave the archives be.

    #223909

    Hey,
Need to clarify some things. A blog archive is not a page. Archives are categories or tags for example and they don’t represent a page in the admin. They are linked to internally and created through an archive template. If you are wanting to edit those archives and change the way posts are queried then you need to use a child theme.

If you are creating a custom page and you just want to add some blog posts to it then you can use a shortcode regardless of what editor you are using, for example:

    [kad_blog items="10" orderby="date" order="ASC"]

If you are using the WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) then you can use Kadence Blocks and Kadence Blocks Pro (comes with theme) and add a post grid/carousel block that would allow you to add this more visually and set the order.

If you are using Siteorigin you can use their loop widget but beware it’s pretty easy to mess up the settings and create an endless loop. I would suggest using the shortcode over it.

Ah ok, I thought you were using the block editor due to referring to it as a block. In page builder there isn’t a widget that is as functional as the post grid block in Kadence Blocks.

I’ll send this over to Ben to see what the best method for adding a reverse order blog.

Where/how do I direct the contact form to the email address to send the contact information?

    #223898

Are you referring to the post grid/carousel block? It isn’t limited to just showing the page titles. It’s actually super flexible and can achieve the same look as your blog archive. If you can link to your blog archive, I can give you more specific directions on how to get it looking the way you want.

Thank you, Kevin. The thing about that block is that as far as I can tell, it only displays the post titles, albeit as links to the posts. Is there a way to get that block to display post excerpts as they would normally be displayed on an archive page?

    #223895

    Hello,

There isn’t an option for this in the default template. I recommend just assigning a default template to your page and adding the posts with a block as you mentioned above. This is the best method.

Is there a way to get Blog Archive pages to display post excerpts in the order from oldest to newest?

I know there’s an option to insert a block of just Blog titles/links and reverse the order of those, but I’m looking for a way to reverse the order of the way post excerpts appear on a Blog Archive page.

    Hello,

I already had the free virtue theme and liked how fast it is to load the page on web and also make the editions on wordpress, but when I bought the membership with premium themes and plugins I found it really slow to load the page and to edit it on wordpress, right now I’m working whith pinnacle theme, how can I fix it?

    Thanks,
    Aline

    Hi Ben,

Yesss. Its in the shop archive settings…have changed it now thanks.

Any help on the menu “arrow” and other icons not loading on first time? I am still getting the icons in squares on first page load for new browser sessions.
Not sure if you are getting that on your end, but I have checked across browsers on both desktop and mobile still same issue.

    1 more question:
Is there anyway to have a global control on the custom tab content in Product page? I would like to have a single update of that content instead of managing it in every product page.

    thank you!

Hi, I have managed to code an opacity on my page header images… my next thought was to make the background color something like #000000, thinking the transparency of the image would show the black a little, muddying my banner images on the fly and therefore my white Title text would work top of on any photo (no matter its values) in the headers without my having to photoshop each header photo. Do you think this is possible? I’m researching that I should do something with position, z-index, and background color rgb (0, 0, 0, 0.7) or something along those lines. I keep trying different attempts in the custom CSS with no success.

You can see on this demo blog post page that my header image looks a little washed out – that is at an opacity of 0.75. So assuming the background is white. I wanted the hidden background behind that image to be black instead. Hope this makes sense!

    Hi,

Need to resize the images used in the Latest Posts grid on Homepage. I did see other suggestions on this in forum, but none that worked for me.

    Thank you,

    Hi,

Made some changes suggested by Ben. Now blog page is picking up h3 format for post titles. Can’t change in Typography because it’s being used as the content title.

What code do you suggest to use?

    Thank you,
    Pam

    #223803

I want to override H3 for the titles on Blog Post page.

    #223801

This video illustrates the modal pop-up in this demo page.

The content of the modal pop-up is “Lorem ipsum…”. The text of this pop-up does not seem to me to be specified in the shortcode.

    How is it specified?

    #223798

Ah, thank you, Ben. I didn’t try that option. But I tried other combinations.

Now I the post tiles on blog page are fulling H3 which I have formatted for Content Titles on homepage.

How can I change that easily so it is different?

    Thank you,
    Pam
