This only started happening recently. It happens on multiple pages, multiple Row Layout blocks. Site requires a login. Will send URL and login info in a private message.
In forum: Ascend ThemeAs you can see, the logo is jammed up against the top. I need to know how to insert space between the logo and top of the page.
Also, how can I widen the logo itself?
Thanks,

April 11, 2019 at 10:03 am #222780Hey,
It’s not possible to use css, the image is sized and output square, I suggest adding the Kadence Blocks Pro Post Grid/Carousel Block into your page, that gives you control over image ratios.Ben
In forum: Ascend ThemeApril 11, 2019 at 9:09 am #222773Hello,
Can you tell me how to adjust the height of the background picture below the header please?
I could however adjust each page’s individual height to override the default, but would like to know if there is any more convinient way to do this across the whole site.
Many thanks!
Kind regards,
SimonIn forum: Ascend ThemeApril 11, 2019 at 9:06 am #222772Yesterday a recurrent Gataway Timeout occurred
If that was only happening on one or a couple page it’s possible there is just something in the page that is createing an endless loop. For example, using the post loop widget incorrectly can easily create this issue.
If that was happening on every page then it’s more likely related to your php settings. For example your max memory or max execution time setting in the site’s settings.
The best way to determine the issue is to get access to your php error logs. That will clearly outline what is happening and if you don’t know how to access your hosting provider can help.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Portfolio previews are blurred (srcset issue)
April 11, 2019 at 8:38 am #222769Hey,
Thanks for posting!I strongly advise that you upload images much larger than 423px. At least 1600×1600 but usually more like 2000×2000 is what I recommend.
The reason is that WordPress along with the theme can then create multiple sizes of your image from 270 there would also be 540 and so on. Then when outputting the image srcset is used to give the browser multiple options. This is powerful because then the browser can choose the best for the screen viewing. If the size of your container is 423px then for the majority of screens you need images at 846px because HD screens usually have twice the pixel density of standard screens.
In terms of image size, 270 is used because that is what makes sense for how the theme normally outputs a 4 column grid. The theme has a max content width of 1140. So 270 works nicely for standard screen sizes and then srcset is used to support HD screens.
You have chosen to set the content width for this page to fullwidth screen width, that makes it so the content can endlessly grow based on screen size. This is all the more reason to have larger images because on my screen your columns are 600px wide which means the minimum image size you need just to support this HD screen is 1200px.
To change the default output image sizes you can use a shortcode, so lets say you wanted your base portfolio image width to be 423 instead of 270. Then instead of using the portfolio grid page template set the page to a standard page and use this shortcode:
[portfolio_posts columns="4" width="423" height="none" items="12"]I hope that helps clarify and gives you some options.

Hello,
You will actually want to use much larger images in order for them to display optimally across all devices. For example, this image here:
http://www.metid.test.polimi.it/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/in2it01.jpgWhile the container on the page may show 423px, on high density displays, the image will display at half the size of what you uploaded. This will
make it blurry. You ideally want to use images that are around 1600px in width. This will allow the theme to resize them and assure they are displaying clearly.Does that help?

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: How To Wrap Text COMPLETELY AROUND an Image
April 11, 2019 at 8:25 am #222761Hey,
Thanks for posting, you have it correct regardless of which pagebuilder you use to have text on both sides of an image you need to use columns.I can’t say from a design perspective I would ever recommend this, especially if you somehow had text flowing around the image and didn’t make clear columns. That would be so confusing to try and read.
But perhaps your end goal is different in which case if you can send me an example I may be able to offer a solution.

In forum: Ascend ThemeApril 11, 2019 at 6:30 am #222746Hi, I have a problem with the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin (included in the theme).
I built the content pages using this plugin. Yesterday a recurrent Gataway Timeout occurred which was resolved by disabling the plugin.
But now the contents of the pages are not visible.
Can you help me?
Thank youIn forum: Virtue ThemeHello, I uploaded an image that has exactly the size of his container (423px width). However the browser always renders a smaller image (pmi_preview-270×270), that is an image size that I didn’t set into the WordPress media options.
This issue happens also for staff and news previews, depending on the device: most of the times the rendered image has not a sufficient size to appear sharp.
How can I control the sizes of the rendered thumbnails?Thank you,
ChiaraIn the linked page I am testing on the only squared image (PMI Network project, 3rd one):

April 11, 2019 at 3:34 am #222733Is there a way I can style a twitter feed so that it shows horizontally at the bottom – underneath the footer information rather than vertical each tweet going down so far off the bottom of the page.
This is the site I am working on:
*Login to see linkAnd I think I am using the Jetpack Twitter feed…………..if there is another plugin that can do what I want that suits the Ascend theme I’d be grateful if you could point me in the right direction. Or if there’s something I can do within the CSS to alter it.
Many thanks
NicApril 11, 2019 at 1:02 am #222729Hi
I would like to have Blog Posts default to have Primary Sidebar &
Pages default to have Custom sidebar.
I set up custom siderbar in Appearance > Widget then Theme Option > Misc setting > Default Page Template – Sidebar Default > Yes, sidebar (I think, this enables Page default -> Primary sidebar to appear)
I could not find option to select Custom sidebar. So, I went to one of the page and edit, manually set Page Option > Yes, sidebar then Chose Custom Sidebar.
Saved, reloaded the page but it is still Primary sidebar. In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
Re: *Login to see link
The images are blurry when using the yith zoom magnifier with variable products. They are correctly sized and looks good on other product pages. I am not intended to have different photos for each variable. I just want it to be like a gallery.
Any thoughts and fixes?
Many thanks,
