Hey,
The gallery is an image gallery. It doesn’t show videos. You can show an image representation of a video and then link to another page that shows that video.

March 16, 2019 at 11:11 pm #220081We don’t recommend or suggest using that plugin so it’s not connected with us. I can’t tell you if you are using it.
The theme allows you to create custom sidebars through theme options > misc settings. If you see Shopping sidebar and checkout sidebar there then you know you are not using Woo sidebars.
That or you can just create new sidebars there. You can assign sidebars for the shop page in your theme options > shop settings.

March 16, 2019 at 11:01 pm #220079Hey,
I suggest avoiding using tables as much as possible. Tables are not for layouts. They should only be used if a true data entries where a table is needed. If you need columns then you should not use a table. Tables are not responsive and are not used very much in current web coding. You can use any page builder or Kadence Blocks with Gutenberg to create a responsive grid.

March 16, 2019 at 10:45 pm #220075Also please note that on this site: https://www.institut-huaxia.org/ you are using caching. You can not cache the home page and show different sliders for different devices. In your w3 total cache setting make sure to turn off page caching for your home page.

March 16, 2019 at 10:17 pm #220069Hey,
You should be able to drag widgets into the custom sidebar widget area in your appearance > widgets page.
BenIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Elementor big question for you guys
March 16, 2019 at 10:14 pm #220067You can drop a shortcode into the category description, so using siteorigin or elementor they both have ways to include a section through a shortcode. https://wordpress.org/plugins/anywhere-elementor/
But no page builder that I am aware of will natively be added there, the plugin you linked to would be similar in that you would still have to build the template outside of the category area.

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Widget Areas
I’m trying to eliminate unused plugins, and want to determine whether I need (actually whether I’m currently using) the Woo Sidebars plugin, or if that’s something that Virtue is covering for me. It’s been quite a while since I set this up, and I don’t remember if I’m actually using the Woo. I’m afraid of deactivating it if it’s really in use.
Currently, under Widget Areas, I see: Shopping Sidebar, and Checkout Sidebar. I don’t use any plugins in the Checkout Sidebar, but I do use different ones in Shopping than Primary.
Would I still have this functionality — being able to use a different sidebar for shopping pages than my primary sidebar — if I disable the Woo Sidebars plugin?
In forum: Virtue ThemeHey Team Kadence! Hope y’all having a great year!
It’s my annual site update time, and there are a few things I haven’t been able to do, that I hope you can point me in the right direction for!
1) How, how, do I disable that really, really annoying “We have a new plugin to extend and enhance Gutenberg for your site. To take full advantage of the Virtue Premium Theme please install the Kadence Blocks, this adds extra Gutenberg settings and features.” notice at the top of every single page? I’ve been through all Theme Settings, but can’t find a way to get rid of it. I really, really don’t like Gutenberg, and have no plans to use it on my site. It has been disabled, so I really don’t need notices about such extensions. 🙂
2) On the page *Login to see link at the bottom under ‘Apply Now’, there is a single link that doesn’t work. It is the one that says ‘Introduction video’. All other links work, and the link address itself is correct. But clicking it does nothing. The only way to open is to right click and choose to open, so I am assuming there is a bug in the page?
3) On most pages, the breadcrumbs look fine. But on a single page, the font is simply too big and so the breadcrumbs go down to a second page, which looks pretty bad.
Is there a css i could use to reduce the size of all breadcrumb fonts, so that this page doesn’t look so bad?
And that’s it! As always, many thanks in advance for your team’s hard work and commitment to your customers. It’s always appreciated!
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Creating a new section on Main Menu
Thanks for your response! I followed the instructions and created a page called Destinations, under Type I chose Washington, so now there is an icon on my main menu for Destinations and once I click on it all the posts that are under the Category Washington appear. Though I still couldnt figure out how to have the following: (THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW I NEED MY MAIN MENU ON THE TOP OF MY WEBSITE TO LOOK LIKE)
DESTINATIONS
NATIONAL PARKS
YOSEMITE NP
KINGS CANYON NP
REDWOODS NP
NATIONAL MONUMENTS
MT HELLEN NATIONAL MONUMENT
JEWEL CAVE NATIONAL MONUMENT
NATIONAL HISTORIC SITESSTATES
CITIESWhat I mean is one I click on destinations I have the choice to chose from lets say National Parks, National Monuments, National Historic Site, and then once I click on lets say National Parks I can chose between Yosemite, Kings Canyon, etc. I guess what I’m trying to say is how to add SUB MENUS to my Destinations menu…
How could I accomplish that? If its easier to understand what I’m trying to accomplish my website is, theroadtripofalifetime.com
thanks a lot!!In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Premium Virtue Theme HomePage Slider Not Displaying
Hi Hannah,
I did not do anything yet like deactivating the plugins first like you said, as we did not have time to do that.
But last night I just update the premium theme again and now the “homepage slider” is displaying well.
Hopefully, that fixes the problem.
Thank you!
JennIn forum: Ascend ThemeHI Ben and Hannah:
I have a client that needs to find a pagebuilder that will
work in the category description
*Login to see linkWill Elementor do it?
There is an elementor plugin that seems to do it with
*Login to see linkBut if we can get this to work, it also has to work with the wordpress api.
what do you think?
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,

March 15, 2019 at 4:42 pm #219977You can turn off the default setting for recent posts in your blog options. This will be the default for all posts.
You can use widget visibility to hide widgets for specific pages or posts: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-visibility-without-jetpack/

In forum: Virtue ThemeHello, in “theme options”> “Store Settings”, it refers to the configuration “Stop Product Excerpt from loading in the shop grid pages. Good to turn on if there are conflicts on your shop grid pages”. It has always been disabled, in case I have activated it, saved changes, deactivated it and saved changes, the error continues.
We already have the web in production, please, you can enter via wp-admin and verify the problem:

Thank youIn forum: Virtue ThemeI’ve tried deactivating plugins now (and clearing cache) but that makes no difference, so I’ve deleted the post. This has solved the problem with the thumbnails on the category page not appearing. I will just have to rewrite the post with a few static images instead. But I do wonder if the issue with the category page was also due to an overload of images… that’s the category with most thumbnails. I guess I’ll find out when I post again…
