    Are you saying like one setting that applies to all archive pages? There is already a way to set a default? Help me understand what you are asking for?

    I did some testing. It’s not the theme. I tried with twenty seventeen and with storefront photographs do not show on the main shop page.

    You can even activate twenty seventeen on your site and see this. The page will say no products found.

    I am able to see the products here: https://www.hobotomphotography.com/collection/spotlight-stage-school/

    I’m not sure how it’s supposed to look on the shop page but I couldn’t find any demo showing photos on the shop page.

    Hi Ben,
    I’ve sent a copy of the plugin to you,

    What is the File Permission issues, I don’t have any errors in my admin pages I’m afraid.

    #205988

    Also can you fix the permissions issue that is a notice on most admin pages: File Permission Issues
    We were unable to modify required files.

    Hi Ben,

    I’m missing most of the front page. The rest of the site seems to be fine.

    Thanks,

    Hey,
    1. Correct data archives don’t fill in breadcrumbs with a blog page. Perhaps something I can tweak.

    2. If date archives had any kind of reference page in the admin of WordPress this would be possible. Since it’s not anything but a specific query with no controls and no framework in WordPress to add controls this won’t be something we add.

    .wp-pagenavi a i {
        width: 10px;
    }

    That is generated by WordPress through the paginate_links function but the css above will likely do what you want. I will add this in the next version.

    I added the code. It helped with text alignment but made the image smaller than the others. I had to increase that one image in order for the images to have same size on the site. This is really odd. Not too happy with Gutenberg on this so far. See screenshot link.

    On the home page the main menu with drop down appears over the slider image, however when I view a portfolio page the menu drop down appears behind the portfolio images.

    Hi Hannah,

    It’s a dev site that’s not easily accessible and I turned off the Photo Collage setting on the post so it’s not a problem for my site anymore. I didn’t really need the Photo Collage. I was just checking out all the options.

    I just posted it as a bug report for you guys to look into on a future update. If you need me to set up a test page that has Photo Collage turned on to reproduce the bug then I could set one up for you and let you know how to access it though.

    haha. That’s great! I have memories of struggling setting up product pages inside Woocommerce in the past.

    Thanks!

    #205932

    Thank you.

    That changes the background for the main page but when I click on a product it goes back to the previous background.

    #205931

    Thanks Kevin,

    It’s a dev site that’s not accessible at the moment, but you can see the same behavior on your demo site which is doing the exact same thing on these links.

    1) Breadcrumbs

    A) Your demo has “Blog” set as the All Blog Posts page and shows the following breadcrumbs on a post which includes “Blog” in the breadcrumbs.

    Post page: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend/planning-the-perfect-trip/
    Breadcrumbs: Home » Blog » Travel Tips » Planning the perfect trip

    B) The proper All Blog Posts page also shows in the breadcrumbs for categories such as on this page.

    Category page: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend/category/adventures/
    Breadcrumbs: Home » Blog » Adventures

    C) But the All Blog Posts page “Blog” fails to show up on archives such as this page.

    Archive page: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend/2017/02/
    Breadcrumbs: Home » 2017 » February
    Should be: Home >> Blog >> 2017 >> February
    Otherwise there’s no way to get back to the All Blog Posts page using the breadcrumbs.

    2) Changing the title background image on archives.

    OK, no problem. I can do it in CSS and know how to do that. I was just checking to make sure I wasn’t missing an easier setting in the theme to do it. Since we can set the title background for blog categories I thought there might also be a set of settings for an archives title background. Consider that a feature request then.

    One option would be to create a page with a sidebar template, then use a page builder plugin to add an events list widget to the page. Would that work for you?

    If you navigate to Settings > Page Builder > Row Layout you can see that “Row/Widget Bottom Margin” is set to 30. You can either remove the margin there for the whole site, or if you’re just wanting the extra margin gone from that row you specified you can use this css:

    div#panel-18-4-0-1 {
        margin-bottom: 0 !important;
    }

    Hope that helps!

    The importer adds those pages automatically, yes! You will have to configure your product correctly to suit your needs, as well as any other backend WooCommerce settings (local taxes that may be applicable, etc…)

    But you can certainly use the demo store as a base for your shop and delete the unneeded things as necessary.

    Hi Kevin,

    Sorry to be slow on the uptake. I installed Virtue Premium and Woocommerce and uploaded the Demo content, and I am personalizing the Demo content and deleting what I do not need. I have products in Woocommerce populated by the demo, and the Virtue demo displays the shop, cart, product, checkout, pay, etc. pages.

    Does this mean that Virtue and Woocommerce are working together without my doing anything else? Can I simply add my products to “Products”, finish setting Woocommerce, keep the default Virtual shop pages, and start accepting orders via PayPal (after I set that up?).

    Let me know if that is right and if I am missing something.

    Thanks!

    #205909

    Thanks so much, Geocoding Service API now enabled and contact page working, hurray!

    #205905

    Hey,

    1. Can you please post a link to your site so that I can see how your breadcrumbs are displaying?

    2. This is possible with CSS. If you can link to the page, as well as the image you’re wanting to use, I can provide the CSS.

    Hey James,

    Take a look at the demo and I think you’ll get a better understanding of how WooCommerce works:
    http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/shop/

    The shop page, the product pages, the cart, checkout, and my account are all pages generated by woocommerce. Basically all the product related pages are WooCommerce or the theme working with WooCommerce.

    Does that help?

    -Kevin
