In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Demo Content like Homepage www.kadencethemes.com
September 25, 2018 at 11:50 am #202343Hey,
The homepage is built in page builder and nothing there is particularly custom. The widgets are from the Ascend theme. The values section, for example, is the infobox widget. We don’t have demo content for it but if something were tripping you up you could send a login and I can create it pretty quickly.

In forum: Ascend ThemeHi, your current homepage is also based on the current Ascend theme, right? I think the layout of the site is really great and consider, although I already own the Pinnacle Pro and Virtue Pro Theme, if I should buy also the Ascend Theme. Prerequisite would be that I can build the basic structure of the website similar to your current homepage. Is there a demo content for this or could you provide it? Best regards, My
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Icons not displaying correctly
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeI use picture icons in my primary menu on all pages except my home page. The home is unique and handles the main menu differently than the other pages.
When I view my entire website, the primary menu icons on all pages display correctly. However, if I display the individual pages directly from the search engine, the icons in the primary menu do not display correctly – the circle icon displays, but the picture inside the circle does not display correctly. I hope you can give me some advice on where to look to fix this problem. (I use the kt-icons such as kt-icon-direction)-Donna (taking over website management from Chris)

September 25, 2018 at 10:08 am #202329I’ll just point out this section so you can see, this:
[columns][span4] Rockshelter Sock image, text and links [/span4][span4] Silk Traveler image, text and links [/span4][span4] Cross Creek Sock image, text and links [/span4][span4] Rockshelter Worsted image, text and links [/span4][span4] Moon Lorn image, text and links [/span4][span4] Cross Creek Super Bulky image, text and links [/span4][span4] Inca Road image, text and links [/span4][span4] Rockshelter Bulky image, text and links [/span4][span4] Rockshelter Sport image, text and links [/span4][span4] Rockshelter Lace image, text and links [/span4][/columns]Should be this:
[columns][span4] Rockshelter Sock image, text and links [/span4][span4] Silk Traveler image, text and links [/span4][span4] Cross Creek Sock image, text and links [/span4][/columns] [columns][span4] Rockshelter Worsted image, text and links [/span4][span4] Moon Lorn image, text and links [/span4][span4] Cross Creek Super Bulky image, text and links [/span4][/columns] [columns][span4] Inca Road image, text and links [/span4][span4] Rockshelter Bulky image, text and links [/span4][span4] Rockshelter Sport image, text and links [/span4][/columns] [columns][span4] Rockshelter Lace image, text and links [/span4][/columns]Notice how within a “columns” row you have three columns and then you close out that columns section and start a new one. This is how the shortcode would automatically be created when you click “virtue shortcodes” and select columns. The only way to get what you have is if you manually added more span sections after adding the shortcode to your page.

In part to satisfy Kevin’s request, and in part to clean up broken links and quite a number of other issues, the lower section has now been rewritten. The gaps are still in the same places, but it was still time well spent. I’ll try to abbreviate what I can see on that text tab in the WP edit window by copying all of it, and replacing the links and text with a few words.
Heading, links <hr /> description [columns][span4] Rockshelter Sock image, text and links [/span4][span4] Silk Traveler image, text and links [/span4][span4] Cross Creek Sock image, text and links [/span4][span4] Rockshelter Worsted image, text and links [/span4][span4] Moon Lorn image, text and links [/span4][span4] Cross Creek Super Bulky image, text and links [/span4][span4] Inca Road image, text and links [/span4][span4] Rockshelter Bulky image, text and links [/span4][span4] Rockshelter Sport image, text and links [/span4][span4] Rockshelter Lace image, text and links [/span4][/columns] <h2>Beyond skeins:</h2> [columns][span4] Colorful Kits image, text and links [/span4][span4] Gradient Sets image, text and links [/span4][span4] Minis image, text and links [/span4][/columns] This snippet includes everything on either side of the first gap. The lower gap appeared when I put the filter and search on the home page.

Thank you Ben. I’m not entirely sure what you’re saying, but I’m not intentionally using any floats or short code in this area. I twice tried yesterday to attach the text obtained by putting the front page into edit, and selecting the text tab, then pasting that in this forum using the quote tags, but both times, it didn’t post. I tried again just now using the b-quote tags, but again, it didn’t post. I’m not sure how to show you what that looks like.

September 24, 2018 at 4:25 pm #202293Hey so you need to close out the previous row and start a new row that will clear the floats.
Looks like you using the shortcode to set up a three column grid. I would suggest using page builder since it would make editing and updating this much simpler. But regardless you are adding in all your columns inside one row and it should be three columns per row when adding the shortcode.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Issues with Select2 in 4.7.8
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Issues with Select2 in 4.7.8
Since the update to 4.7.8 our website has been having issues. When we go into “Misc” under “Theme Options” and turn on Select2 our select boxes in Formidable forms will sometimes disappear and any custom boxes become sized incorrectly. We can edit our own css and js to comply with select2, but the select boxes seem to disappear.
However if we turn off select2 the boxes on the product page disappear or the border boxes will not display.
The problem is none of this seems consistent so I don’t have any steps to reproduce these issues. Have you heard of any issues similar to this or a possible fix.
Right now we are running 4.7.7 on our live site, but doing tests to try a fix on our development site.

September 24, 2018 at 2:56 pm #202281Hey,
I just took a look. Your page was full of bad code. Like you copied from another page and pasted everything into a visual editor widget. It was broken output and crashed when wordpress tried to read it because it was broken code. Not sure how you got that there. But I created a test page and cleaned up the mess of code so you can access everything: https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/?page_id=2098&preview=trueBen

Hey,
You’re getting some 404 errors on your site indicating that the images are not available. It’s trying to get the image from here, but it cannot be found:
http://meadowcroft-dyeworks.com/wp-content/uploads/066-Bronze-Gargoyle-silk-500×500.jpgI would try re-uploading the images or renaming and reassigning them to the page.
Let me know if that makes a difference.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Page content width / Blog page content width
September 24, 2018 at 1:25 pm #202267Hi Kevin and thanks again…
1. I asked you through email about the new page content width option, and when I applied that… the header, footer, and page titles were still contained and I wanted all website to be wide. You sent me the
.container {width: 100%;}and I added the padding, but I just replaced that today with a 90% instead. The search still acts the same though.2. Here is a link to the blog archive page where the image acts strange, on the Blog page the image does cover the entire space.
3. You can use the same link posted here for solving the same issue. Basically I want to change the image size for the home page blog posts, the blog page and the archive pages.
Thank you for the menu on number 4. And by the way…. if it’s too much of a hustle don’t stress too much to waste your time and I will just go back to the contained page format so we don’t lose precious time.
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello, I’ve been trying to resolve a gap between images on the front page. If you look at the link provided below, and scroll down to just above the half way point, you’ll see where there is a void or gap where 2 images should be. There aren’t any images missing, no line breaks that don’t belong, and the images are all the correct size. However, there’s space open where 2 images should be. Can you tell me what might be going on and how to resolve that? My site is HERE.
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Site broken when switching to static page view
1. You need to go to Theme Options> Home Layout and activate the modules you’d like to use. At the moment none are active so there is nothing to display on the home page.
2. The entire page title is actually showing. It’s just dropping down to two lines an you can’t see the text that’s appearing over the white background. You can adjust this text in Theme Options> Logo Settings if you’d like to change the color to see the text.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTwo part problem:
1) I want to have a static page on the home page. I went to Settings>Reading and selected the Static Page radio button (and set it to a page already created). Now my site isn’t displaying anything…
2) For some reason half of the site name has been removed… Not sure what I did there – I must have changed a theme setting but I cannot figure out which one.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Previous button icon not working?
I have already done this. Just did it again. I am using Cloudflare.
My active plugins include:
All in One SEO Pack
Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
Google Analytics Dashboard for WP
Jetpack by WordPress.com
Kadence Custom Fonts
Page Builder by SiteOrigin
Really Simple SSL
SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
WP Fastest Cache
WP-OptimizeCaches were cleared after plugins deactivated. Still seeing the issue. Any idea of a fix?
Thank you.
