Okay, so when I use the custom selector .kad-light-wp-gallery a and I have multiple galleries on one page, the lightbox groups ALL the images from ALL the galleries together. I have been trying to keep them as separate instances of the lightbox. I was searching through their forums and stumbled upon a code that they posted regarding another plugin and changed the code to this: .kad-light-wp-gallery$$a. I’m not actually sure why it works, but it does!

Per the Contact 7 Plugin instructions I put the required “[contact-form-7 id=”1234″ title=”Contact form 1″]” shortcode into the content of my contact page. No matter what I do I keep getting a “[contact-form-7 404 “Not Found”]” error message instead of a contact form. Ideas?

Nothing specific to the theme, only with pagebuilder. I looked in the php error log and I couldn’t find anything specific to this issue. My problem is that I want to use pagebuilder for my homepage, so I need to have it activated, but I also need thrive for some landing pages that are very important for the development of our project, so I am clueless at the moment. If you have any idea, I would be greateful.

You don’t have to use pagebuilder, it’s not required. You can just build your pages without it. What are you needing pagebuilder for?

Hi Ekaterina,
Page Builder by site origin and Polylang are not always compatible. It is a conflict with the plugins and is not related to the theme. Just to clarify, page builder is not a kadence theme plugin, it just is one we often use and recommend. We also are big advocates of Elementor page builder ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/elementor/ ). As far as multilingual plugins go, we love WPML. But if you are not able to pay the price, Polylang should get the job done for you. To my knowledge, there were some conflicts in the past with polylang and elementor, but these have since been resolved.

I have some ideas for handling a customer request, but I thought I’d ask the real experts if there might be a better way. If you take a peek at THIS SITE you’ll see a row of 5 CTA icons just below the home page slider. The client would like these to overlay the very bottom of the slideshow rather than sit beneath it. I know I can move the Facebook link elsewhere and put the icons in the Kadence Slider. I would then have to do something different for the mobile header, but I’d figure something out.

I also thought about having a secondary menu at the bottom of the transparent header slideshow, but I don’t know that there’s a way to get these icons and accompanying text into a secondary menu, is there? Or is this just a bad idea?

Any other thoughts for making this happen? As always, thanks much!!

Apologies and thank you for your help, everything is done.

One more thing please. I would like to install the Polylang plugin which adds multilingual capability to WordPress. I need my website to be in 2 or 3 languages so I need it. I have installed it previously and noticed that this plugin is not supported by your page builder (Page Builder by SiteOrigin). If I use a page builder the Polyland does not work. Do you know anything about it or you may suggest another multilingual plugin? I would need to translate the pages myself and do not want to use any automatic translator.

The home page header is displaying beautifully on THIS SITE with any browser using a PC. On a Mac Book Pro, however, the word “Esopus” insists on wrapping under the words “Town of” even though there appear to be plenty of space. The home page header is displaying beautifully on THIS SITE with any browser using a PC. On a Mac Book Pro, however, the word “Esopus” insists on wrapping under the words “Town of” even though there appear to be plenty of space. I even tried some CSS to give it more space but to no avail. Then this happens it pushes the words “Welcome to the” upwards and causes them to overlay the topbar menu a bit.

So it sounds like an issue with pagebuilder and thive or did you find something specific to the theme?

Do you know what is in your php error log?

hi Ben. I set the gutter to 0 but I can’t seem to find the vertical gutter option in the page builder layout

Hey,
In your pagebuilder settings click on the row settings for the row where you’ve added those. Set the gutter to 0 and the Vertical Gutter to no margin.

I’m using the events calendar by modern tribe which only uses events/ slug. It is not on a page as such. So I want to hide the sidebar completely. I can see this question has already been asked for Virtue and Pinacle but is there a solution for Ascend?

Hi,

when running webpagetest and Google Insight, as well as looking at Network tab and throttling speed to 3G I noticed that 3 of the biggest files are:

1. virtue_icons.ttf 128 KB (gzipped 68 KB)
2. plugins-min.js 219 KB (gzipped 59 KB)
3. virtue.css 280 KB (gzipped 283 KB)

I noticed these in Firefox, but here’s a screenshot from Chrome:

Notice the Time to download.

Any chance of reducing these? I do not know myself, so this is more of a problem description than solution:

For example:

1. As for the icons: We really only use maybe 10-20 of these. So actually no need to have all those downloaded: TBH, only way I can think of here is a custom file builder that let’s me pick the fonts I need. Like *Login to see link

2. As for the plugins: I do not know if we really use all the stuff in there. I do not know what kind of plugins this all includes, but 219 KB sounds like a lot. Our web server speaks HTTP/2 (so can reuse connections/requests) instead of bundling all (also unneeded plugins) it might help if the files were selectively chosen.

3. Not sure if the CSS could be reduced by running over a Unused CSS detector, see *Login to see link and *Login to see link I’d guess that there’s still some stuff living in the CSS that’s there for “historical” reasons (which is normal TBH 🙂
