June 3, 2018 at 7:30 am #192003Hey,
In each page, you already have options to enable comments through WordPress core. They are all on by default if the theme adds it. The theme option will allow it so on some pages you may have to turn off the comments. That can be found in your discussion settings in your page. If you can’t see the discussion settings they can be shown by clicking “screen options” in the top right corner and then checking the box for discussion.Ben
In forum: Ascend ThemeJune 3, 2018 at 7:25 am #192001Hey,
1. Your site is not using the premium theme. You have the free theme installed. Please check out this tutorial: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium/installation/You just need to go to themes > add new and install the premium theme.
2. Are you talking about the image that is in this page: https://adventuretravelcoach.com/?page_id=104 That was added in your page content > image widget.
3. It doesn’t seem you have installed pagebuilder. First get your premium theme installed. Then go to apperance> getting started and click on “recommended plugins” there make sure you install and activate page builder.
I hope that helps,
Ben

June 3, 2018 at 7:19 am #192000Hey,
So instead of setting the background for the widget, you need to set the background for the row. Check out the written part of this tutorial: https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder/That should get what you’re after.

June 3, 2018 at 7:11 am #191997Hey,
In your row settings for each row can you set the bottom margin to 0. Right now you have not set that.Worth noting the global settings for this can be found in your settings > pagebuilder

Ben
BY coincidence I’d only just noticed that one of our pages with comments (from when we were using a previous theme) wasn’t showing them. Will it be possible to turn on comments per page, please – we only have a couple we need to have comments on. Not so urgent as having them shown at all, but
really would be helpfulThank you

In forum: Ascend ThemeJune 3, 2018 at 3:02 am #191982Hi, I’m new to blogging and all this technical stuff.
I’ve read the download instructions but not sure what I’ve done is correct (MacBook using Safari)?
1)I’ve upgraded to premium theme http://www.adventuretravelcoach.com and download/import all the downloads but cannot see all features/pre-built layouts.
2) I want to remove the Placeholder picture on Blog-page but can’t?
3) when I went to a page or post and chose to edit, it immediately goes over to the Coded page? Then I cannot change anything?PLEASE HELP!
Would appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance. (Topic tags: am I supposed to put in there what my question is about)? My email address: [email protected]

AnonymousJune 2, 2018 at 4:16 pm #191978Hello again,
I just tried to copy the layout described above on another page, located here:
https://womenlawyersmeanbusiness.com/contact/
I tried to match every setting, and used both the 0 gutter and the css code you have me, but the layout is not behaving the same way that it did on this page:
http://jennsavage.com/contact-jenn/Any idea what I might have done wrong?
Thank you!

In forum: Ascend ThemeI modified the contact form and want to add a text link to the site’s privacy policy page. What code would I include within form? I wonder if I should include the checkbox as required.

Sorry, I closed with still one (probably simple) question.
I now have the form showing up and operational. Since code is in the child’s ‘function.php’ page, I’m not quite sure where I can get the syntax to make the button, text box, and any label look better. For example, I have:
<label>Unable to verify your code</label>
<input type=”submit” class=”btn”/>
<div class=Where can I read about what my options are that I can set in the functions.php page?
Do you have any code I can add?
Thank you,
Jim
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi, today I did some upgrades with SEO and SSL which was advised, so far so good. Unfortunately later on, in the Plugin part, it was showing removing plugin in “red” and updating plugins. After pushing a button to remove a plugin my side “disappeared”, gone on white page no showing any pages any more and also not a login screen. Any idea what happened and what to do now?

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Graphic Menu Items have disappearred
Ben,
The graphics were added in the menu setting. There is the option to include the graphic in the menu, but we didn’t want the text with it. That css was included per the instructions I was given in this forum.
The graphic wasn’t added in via the CSS, it was in the Appearance>Menu page.
Does that help?

June 1, 2018 at 10:41 pm #191942Hey, I need to update the options for this. It’s going to be an option in your theme options > page settings. There you will be able to enable page comments. I’ll see if I can push this live before monday but otherwise it will be no later then monday.

June 1, 2018 at 7:08 pm #191935You just need to replace the demo content. The demo site is loaded on a http page. See here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend/
So when you load content from that page it’s not loading over https.
The important thing is that your still will be secure when you have your real content on it.

June 1, 2018 at 7:06 pm #191934You can build a custom shortcode and add that to your home page.
I don’t know of a plugin that would do this for you but it wouldn’t be that hard.
See here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_shortcode
That can go into your child theme functions file and you would just add all that you have in your template into the function.

In forum: Ascend ThemeJune 1, 2018 at 6:59 pm #191931Looks like you were able to add the image.
Using pagebuilder you can also add two rows and vertically center the content which would give you more control and the same or similar look.
