    I would like to have the sidebar show on my blog page but I must be missing something in my settings. I’ve created categories to my posts and added slideshows but nothing shows up.

    Hey,
    Did you see what the date was for that post?

    It’s from 2014.. It’s for a slider version long past and not relevant for today. Make sure you have the latest theme, then update the slider 5.2.2 and you would be set on any decent host. You should contact your host again or get better hosting. They prob just need to update the mod security.

    Can you post a link?

    Sounds like you have a menu widget in one of your footer widget areas. That would make the menu inside the footer and not below it so if you can post a link I think I would understand better what your asking.

    Hi Debi,
    Your site requires login info. Do you mind posting that?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

    There seem to be some issues when displaying single post from CPT, and errors encountered as follow:

    PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 0 in /dev/2/wp-content/themes/pinnacle/templates/blog-post-header.php on line 24
    PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /dev/2/wp-content/themes/pinnacle/templates/blog-post-header.php on line 26

    Can you please check?

    Thanks.

    I have migrated a test version of virtue premium to my server and now I am getting a message Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in /var/kunden/webs/kd47942/routes-mag/test/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/lib/nav.php on line 39″. Before the message I was asked for a user name and password. I’ve entered all of the information that I know but nothing seems to work. My user name & password are normally autofilled in. I was asked for an email address and when I filled that in it I got a message saving it was invalid. Because the process is complicated and uses several passwords, I am not sure if I’m being asked for virtue premium, wordpress, duplicator or the server. I’m assuming that it is wordpress.

    your “virtue_premium” theme seems to be the error.

    To confirm, try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using FTP , or your web-host’s cPanel or whatever file management application your host provides (no Dashboard access required).

    I am not sure what Tara wants me to do. However, I have deleted all of the files in the folder and there are only two files the zip file and the installer. I reinstalled the program and at the end of the “Run Deployment” I have selected permalink. After the selection, a sign in box appears–no matter how many usernames and passwords I use, there is no success. I’ve watch a video (Duplicator WordPress Plugin Tutorial – Jan 2014 update) that performs the same selection and what appears is a permalink settings. Is my problem a WordPress problem or a Duplicator problem. Thank you for your assistance.

    I recently stopped using that jetpack mobile theme and started using the virtue theme for mobile due to the shortcode support.

    Just about everything works well except the layout of the main page. The main site is 2 columns and it seems to put the right hand column under the left which is fine but the post content does not display correctly.

    It is set for 17% for the featured image and 83% for the post content, instead of them rendering beside each other they render one over the other. This would be acceptable but the post content, even though on a new line is still only 83% and looks odd. It is all left aligned.

    Over the year or so I have made changes to css, mainly by using the ‘inspect element’ function of firefox as my trial/error/investigate tool as I don’t have much experience with it, so there is a good chance I have screwed something that used to make this fully responsive.

    I hope I explained that correctly.

    I have just installed version 1.6.2 and installed/activated recommended plugins. I created a page called “Home” and used the default page builder “Theme defined Example Home”.
    I navigated to Settings/Reading and changed the Readings settings for Front Page to: Home
    When I do this and refresh the site…..it goes to the one and only blog post I have since I am just creating this site. I was sure to confirm that I have the “reading” settings correct…..the Front Page is set to: Home and not to the posts page.

    When I change the theme to a standard default wordpress theme…the “Home” page displays just fine. When I switch back to the Pinnacle theme….it displays the blog posts!

    How can this be fixed!

    Thanks

    Hi,

    After being away from my website for a little while I downloaded the latest update to Virtue and saw that my homepage broke a bit. I’ve figured out that one of the template files I had edited has been updated and so now the changes I made to it aren’t appearing. Given that it’s poor practice to edit template files I’m not bothered that I need to fix this, but given I’m still learning this side of things I could use your help.

    So, I’ve been trying to have a custom field display at the after the titles of the blog posts on my homepage. I tried copying and modifying some code Ben had given me earlier in my functions.php file, but it’s not working (in fact it keeps my site from loading at all). Here’s the code—could you tell me what’s wrong with it?

    add_action( 'kadence_post_mini_excerpt_header', 'kt_add_custom_field', 5 );

    function kt_add_custom_field() {

    global $post;
    echo '<div class="subtitle">'.get_post_meta( $post->ID, 'wpcf-subtitle', true ).'</div>';
    }

    Thanks for your help.

    -Adam

    P.S. I’ve noticed not all the templates have the ‘do_action()’ code that allows you to hook code into. Are there other ways of hooking in code?

    Hello,
    I’m using Beaver Builder for some of the web pages our Virtue Premium site. However, all the pages that I create with Beaver Builder are very narrow and not the full width of the Virtue Theme settings. Can you help me to make the width full width of the Virtue theme settings?

    Hey Megan,
    How are you adding your images? Have you set featured images for your posts? I noticed your portfolio isn’t navigating correctly. I would suggest re-saving your permalinks. Go to Settings > Permalinks and save.

    Hey Ryan,
    When you create a gallery and then you edit the gallery you should see a “Caption this image” tab under each image. Your lightbox and image captions should both pull from that. Let me know if that’s not the case for you, and if not please post a link.

    It seems my images aren’t working at all within posts and pages. I’ve tried to remove from media center, re-upload etc.

    Any ideas? (Slider works but the image next to “Hank Luce is a storyteller…”)

    #86707

    Hey Rainer,
    Try adding this css:

    .home #kadbreadcrumbs {
        display: none;
    }

    If that does’t work please post a link.

    They changed the memory limit for me to 512M which seems really high but the shortcode will still not work with the pagebuilder plugin activated. I seriously don’t think I am using that much but I removed a few plugins which I suspected use PHP and I didn’t really need anyway and it still didn’t help. I think that for now I am going to give up on using a shortcode to automatically show posts and just display the ones I want using a linked image. Not exactly the most convenient way to go about it but at least the page will load.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there,

    When I create an image gallery on a page or post, then go back and edit the gallery and add an image caption, the caption I added shows below the thumbnail on the page but when the image is clicked the caption shown below the image in lightbox display of the image is the filename only.

    Can I have the caption I added when I edited the gallery persist as the caption shown when the image is clicked on and displayed in lightbox?

    Better yet, when I go in the media library there is the option to edit the image with Caption, Alternative Text, Description. I would rather add the info there and be able to call that in the lightbox or wherever I use the image.

    I tried some code options from these like caption=true but still only filename.

    Can you edit the lightbox behavior or do I need to try another lightbox plugin? Is the lightbox plugin part of WordPress or part of your theme? Sorry for all the questions but I am transitioning from having done many sites in DotNetNuke to working with WP.

    thanks again for a great theme,

    Will, Planet Maine
