In reply to: Sticky Headermenu and widget background
Wow – thanks for your fast reply.
I want to be in control of alle headlines on my page. For example “entry-title” h5 which is called with[blog_posts items="2" cat="wissenswertes" orderby="date"]or the blog headline. I copyd some php files to my child theme and changed the code from h3 to h2 and so on.
A filter – as far as I understand – would be a much better and flexible solution here. Thing is: I have no idea where to start with filters as you can see on my last post 😉
Maybe you have an idea.Benedikt

Hey Kadence support!
Ben, thanks for your reply.If you had an idea how to build such a filter rule it would be fantastic if you could show me an example.
I found this:add_filter('tc_content_title_tag' , 'my_title_tag'); function my_title_tag() { return 'h2'; }Thing is: This would apply to all title_tags on my page – I guess I dont want that to happen 🙂
I tried calling the blog like you told me
[kad_blog items="2" cat="wissenswertes" orderby="date"].
But the thing is: The articles need much more space now and I want to change the headline classes as well for widgets as for blog posts… A kind of filter-based solution would be fantastic .OK – its for SEO reasons … but I think thats something a lot of your customers will need in 2016.
Thanks for your help!
BenediktIn forum: Virtue ThemeBen,
So after updating to the latest version of Virtue Premium, The blog page now has a missing image with alt tag on any posts that do not have a featured images set. We do have the header to default to featured image, but in the past it would only try and display an image if there was one there.
<div class="imghoverclass post-single-img" itemprop="image" itemscope="" itemtype="*Login to see link
<a href="" rel-data="lightbox" class="">
<img src="" itemprop="contentUrl" alt="Recommendations Today">
<meta itemprop="url" content="">
<meta itemprop="width" content="px">
<meta itemprop="height" content="px">
</a>
</div>You can see what I am talking about here.
Thanks
Jeremy

February 10, 2016 at 1:50 pm #80648Hey,
It’s actually not the issue. The plugin your using: External Image URL plugin, doesn’t really work with the woocommerce output for images in the single product..
Your link ends up being this:
<a href="" itemprop="image" class="woocommerce-main-image zoom" title="" data-rel="lightbox">which has nothing in the link box.
I assume this may mean the plugin doesn’t support wp_get_attachment_url(). from get_post_thumbnail_id().
Which would mean if you wanted to make this work you would have to change that for the woocommerce template.

February 10, 2016 at 12:46 pm #80628Hey,
@media (min-width: 992px) { body.post-type-archive-product .main.col-lg-9, body.tax-product_cat .main.col-lg-9 {float:right;} }You can use that above css instead then.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHi
Updating the page builder plugin has ‘damaged’ two of my Pinnacle sites – Not sure whether it is an issue with the plugin or the theme + plugin but I can’t find anything on the net regarding any issue with that plugin update.
The sites are http://www.airhospitality.co.uk (I can’t move the ‘latest posts’ to the main content it throws the layout out) and http://www.cadoganlandscapes.co.uk (I had to disable it as content was showing above the site design)
Thank you
Nathalie

Hey Joel,
You can do this by making your front page the latest post page (Settings > Reading). Then go to Theme Options > Home Layout and enable Page Content in the homepage layout manager. Then scroll to the bottom of that page to Page Content Options. Set Use Post Grid Format to On and set the Post Columns to 3.
Hope that works for you!Hannah

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Header questions
Is is possible to move a widget to the far right in the header. The widget in question is the social media icons? I would also like the icons to be more centered vertically. I would also like to remove the call to action link – just want to have the phone number.
Sorry for posting this twice. Thought I would be able to delete my original question.
Thanks,

February 9, 2016 at 6:56 pm #80512Hey,
to have them all in one line where you would have logo > social > menu you would need to have some extra css. and you would have to push everything closer together. Once you add the topbar widget area post a link I can help with the css to make them all one line. Just note though you can’t do this and have a shrinking header.Finally another option would be to add the icons to the menu itself through this method: https://www.kadencewp.com/add-icons-to-your-menu-virtue-theme/
And you can use css to hide the label for those menu items with an icon.

In your settings > reading. Make sure no page is set as the “post page” then in your blog page just use the blog page template.Ben

February 9, 2016 at 6:51 pm #80510Hey,
A static page determines what is show in the “page content” module of the theme options > home layout > layout manager.
If it’s a static page then “page content” would be that static pages content. If it’s posts then “page content” would be the latest post.See here: https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue/
IN terms of adding a widget to the page you can use pagebuilder or the sidebar, seems right now you have a sidebar set up.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
