In reply to: Mini-blogs within one blog site. Possible?
Hi Hannah,
Thanks for your reply. I don’t really follow. What would I need to do first? And would the “mini blog” post be on the same page as the main blog post? I was thinking of just doing it underneath but would also like for it to have a separate area that could explain what it is.
For example, the post that I have on my site now is about wine in an area of Italy. I am interested in putting a mini blog about a specific restaurant that I liked in that region. I want to have this mini blog to have an “umbrella” title of “Forks in the Road”, followed by the actual title of the mini blog. This would hint at food rather than wine. However, it would also be good to have an area in a sidebar – preferably on the right of my page – which explains what “Forks in the Road” means (with maybe even a small picture) and which lists the title of these posts – a bit like “Recent posts” or “Archives”. A reader could click on the links and go to that specific blog post.
Is that possible? Is that what your suggestion above could do?
Thanks so much for your help.
Robin

The code I gave will not target all .col-md-12, it will only effect it if it is within the entry content, in the postlist on the blog page. And yes, it should be fully compatible throughout all browsers, but let me know if you experience something different.

Hi Robin,
Sorry for the delay. It sounds to me like you would need to make separate posts and categories, not pages.
You can add a sidebar to any post/page and add whatever content you want from Appearance > Widgets. If you wanted separate content for each post you would need to create individual sidebars (from Theme Options > Misc Settings) and then select the correct one within the individual post edit pages. Does that make sense?Hannah

In the first image, where is the 1px white line, the second image has number of articles, so is not empty.
I ended hiding it with:
.woocommerce-page .kt-simple-box:first-child { margin-top: -15px; }this moved up the first title box, but not the second…
The page is now:
[kt_box opacity="1" padding_top="5" padding_bottom="1" padding_left="20" padding_right="20" background="#ffffff"] <h2>Produtos em destaque</h2> [/kt_box] [products ids="47,50,99" columns="3"] [featured_products per_page="4" columns="4"] [product_category category="Posters" per_page="5" columns="5"] [kt_box opacity="1" padding_top="5" padding_bottom="1" padding_left="20" padding_right="20" background="#ffffff"] <h2>Categorias de Productos</h2> [/kt_box] [space size="5px"]this gives me lots of flexibility, I can display different products at any time.
Who cares for an empty div? I can live with that.
In many themes I tried before was simple impossible to add anything in the shop page.I updated this to resolved.
ThanksIf you are curious about, go to the page and inspect the top border of the first title box
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Sort Portfolio_posts ascending
Hi Hannah,
thanks for reply. Yes, I want to have them sorted by title but ascending! I know that I can set the order manually for each portfolio, but this will take me a lot of work (130 Portfolios at the moment) and is only a workaround for me!
In most of my portfolio titles (and post categories) I have a number in the beginning for sorting them and they should be sorted ascending.Thats why it would be nice to have in the THeme Options an Option to set the sort order in general (ascending oder descending) and in each post, portfolio-post/type, page and category an option to override this.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHey guys,
I have a blog with Categories and Subcategories, where the Post categories are the main menu. My question is how images work.
If I embed an image in the post, it does not show up in the image associated with the post when you sort by category, and when I select the image as the “featured image” for the post, it does not show up in the post, but it does show up when you sort by category.
Do I have to both embed media in the post, and select the image as the featured image for each post?
Thanks for your help!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Sort Portfolio_posts ascending
Hi Stefan,
Looks like they are already sorted by title. Is this not what you wanted? To my knowledge there is not a built in option to place your portfolio items in ascending order. You can leave it at default ordering and go into your portfolio posts and give them each set order numbers. Does that work for you?Hannah

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Home Blog Settings 3 columns
Hi, Sorry to dig up an older post. I was also trying to add extra columns on my home page blog display.
I followed the advice above (Or you can set the home page to be your “post page” in the settings > reading. Then in your theme options > home layout. enabled “page content” and not “latest posts” Then at the bottom of your theme options > home layout set the blog style to grid with three columns.) and everyting seemed to work great. I had my test revolution slider in place and my test blog posts below it in 4 columns.
However now my home page menu button as pointing to a blank page – the only way to get back to this ‘front page’ is by clicking thr sight title – is there any way to set this front page as my home page for menu puposes?
Many thanks

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Home Slider setup
Hey Joseph,
The footer is created using the four column layout (Theme Options > Footer). Then widgets are added from Appearance > Widgets.
Here’s what is used:
Column 1: Text Widget
Column 2: Virtue: Contact/VCard Widget and Virtue Social Links Widget
Column 3: Virtue: Post Grid Widget
Column 4: Custom Menu WidgetHope that helps!

In forum: Virtue ThemeGood Day,
First, sorry for the repost. I realized I had to invest some time upgrading the site to the latest versions of the theme, plugins and wordpress.
I am now running the latest versions of WordPress 4.4.2, Virtue – Premium 3.4.7 and Revolution slider 5.1.6
The previous fix you provided for our revolution sliders, here…
namely
.tp-caption.small_light_white-footer {
width: 100%;
text-align: center;no longer resolves the issue of extending the background of the text layer to the edges of the slide. Any suggestions? Apparently this happened after an upgrade some time in the past.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Maria,
Ben should be on within the next little bit and if necessary I’m sure he can provide a download for the previous version. However, many have switched to the newest version and are not having problems. Can you post a link to your site? Have you tried deactivating plugins to test? Have you also tried clearing your cache?Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
I have the following shortcode in a portfolio-item to show other portfolio-items.[portfolio_posts orderby=title excerpt=false itself=false columns=4 items=-1 height=320 lightbox=true showtypes=true cat=”schule”]
I would like to sort “orderby” them by title or by menu_order ascending because default all the sort is descending (newest on top or left). What do I have to do?
best,
StefanIn forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: portofolio page
